Chapter 520 Isabella's Punishment Arrives

Maggie thought, 'Oh my God, it's James. And he's in a wheelchair.'

He was so skinny that Maggie almost didn't recognize him. She wanted to stop the taxi, but then she remembered her fallout with Isabella and decided it wasn't worth the drama, so she kept quiet.

At the corner of the coffee shop, James could only move his hands now. He sat in his wheelchair, handing out flyers to people passing by.

The flyers told the story of how Isabella had framed him, pushed him down the stairs, causing his paralysis, and how she had been sleeping around with other men without divorcing him, taking all his money, transferring assets, and dumping him in a nursing home where he was mistreated.

That was why Isabella's coffee shop business was going downhill.

Knowing what kind of person the owner was, many people walked past the coffee shop, deliberately avoiding it.

Isabella stood inside the shop, looking out the window. Lots of people walked by, but no one came in.

Isabella was confused. Feeling down, she grabbed her bag and decided to go out for a beauty treatment.

As soon as she stepped out, she noticed the weird looks from passersby and wondered what they were talking about.

A flyer drifted to her feet. She picked it up and was instantly furious.

She immediately knew this was James's doing.

Following the direction from which the flyer had come, she saw James in his wheelchair, handing out flyers to everyone.

"James!" Isabella shouted angrily, quickly walking over and snatching the flyers from his hand.

"So it's you. Instead of staying at home, you come here to be a nuisance. Do you have a death wish?" Isabella added.

Isabella furiously tore up the flyers.

James glared at her with malice. "You can tear them up, but I can print more. You dare to do those things, but you're afraid of people talking? Isabella, you will be punished. You vile woman, everyone, look at this woman! This is the woman who pushed me down the stairs, paralyzed me, took my money, and shamelessly fell in love with her cousin's husband. Disgusting."

Fiorello was Isabella's sore spot. When James brought it up in public, she was utterly humiliated.

James's paralysis was a fact, and Isabella, always dressed up beautifully, looked like a promiscuous and restless woman.

People tended to sympathize with the vulnerable. Many gathered around, and a kind-hearted older woman helped James scold Isabella, "She looks like a real siren and is so evil."

Others in the crowd chimed in and gossiped about her.

"How can there be such a vicious person in the world, harming her husband like this? The flyer even says she abused her husband, kicked out her in-laws, and sent her husband to the countryside, ignoring him."

"She's truly wicked. Look at how thin her husband is, just skin and bones. He's so pitiful."

"You're a terrible woman, taking your husband's money and sending him to the countryside."

The crowd condemned Isabella.

Isabella, humiliated and furious, shouted, "What do you know? This man cheated, got another woman pregnant, and tried to take over my house. His whole family is disgusting. James, do you have the guts to admit what you've done?"

"What did I do? You're still slandering me. You ruined me, and it's not enough? You took my money, kicked out my elderly parents. Do whatever you want to me, but you can't treat the elderly with such cruelty." James incited the crowd, saying, "Everyone, look at this woman. This coffee shop is hers, opened with my money. She flirts with different men every day. How many men do you have? Tell everyone."

"James, you're talking nonsense. I divorced you. The money for this shop comes from my parents. What does it have to do with you?" Unable to out-argue James, Isabella angrily pushed the wheelchair.

The wheelchair toppled over, and James fell out. Isabella's actions sparked widespread indignation among the crowd.
