Chapter 707 The Malicious Intentions of the Mother and Daughter
After Dulce left, in the hospital room.
Wendy kindly served a bowl of cream of mushroom soup to Francis, "How about next Monday? Moving Edward's grave that day will be good for Brianna's future."
Neil and Elara were always in poor health and went to the hospital many times throughout the year.
Recently, Elara had a dream where her son told her to move the grave.
Francis showed no expression and said, "You guys decide."
After all, he was considered an outsider. The Gray family was moving their son's grave, and he had no say in it.
"Okay," Wendy said gently. "You can be discharged next week. My mom thinks you should come home to recover. It's inconvenient for you to live alone, and if something happens, no one will know."
"No need," Francis said. "My mom is coming to Cyberland next week to take care of me."
Francis's parents had retired and moved back to their hometown in the countryside.
The Hudson family elders didn't even know about Francis's injury; he was using his mother as an excuse.
If Wendy insisted on him staying with the Gray family, he would have to notify his mother to come to Cyberland.
"Your mom is coming? That's great, I feel relieved," Wendy knew Francis didn't like her and was always polite to her.
Wendy felt frustrated; she didn't know how to get into Francis's heart.
For so many years, she had been doing his laundry, cooking, and cleaning. He handed over his money to her and attended Brianna's parent-teacher meetings as her father. Except for not being married, their life were just like a family.
Brianna was very smart and noticed that Francis didn't like her mom. She walked over to Francis with a pitiful look, "Francis, did you and mom have a fight? I don't want you to fight; we are a family."
Francis suddenly realized that in Brianna's mind, he and Wendy had become a family.
"Brianna, no, I didn't fight with your mom. It's just that my wound hurts a bit, and I'm a little tired and want to rest for a while." Francis then looked at Wendy, "Wendy, you should take Brianna home. There are a lot of germs in the hospital, and Brianna has a weak immune system. It's better not to bring her here often."
"Okay, then you rest. If you need anything, call me." Wendy remained understanding.
Wendy also understood Francis's thoughts; he was starting to distance himself from them.
After so many years of dependence, how could he abandon them?
Wendy would never allow it.
Wendy took Brianna and left. In the hallway, they ran into a familiar face, a woman in her fifties from the neighboring hospital bed.
The woman smiled and asked, "Mrs. Hudson, visiting your husband again? You two have such a good relationship. Your husband is so lucky to have such a beautiful daughter and a kind wife."
Wendy smiled and let the misunderstanding about her and Francis's relationship slide, saying, "I'm going back to cook for him."
"Go ahead," the woman said, waving her hand with a smile.
Francis had been in the hospital for a few days, and Wendy came every day, naturally becoming familiar with the neighbors.
Wendy enjoyed being called Mrs. Hudson.
She spoke gently to everyone, always presenting the image of a good wife and mother.
She always dressed simply, didn't use expensive skincare products, and her skin was a bit dark, making her appearance quite average.
Brianna inherited Wendy's genes, with slightly dark skin and average features. When people complimented her looks, it was just out of politeness.
Wendy took her daughter home by taxi. In the car, Wendy asked, "What did that woman in the hospital room say to Francis? What did she do?"
Brianna recounted what she had heard, "That woman peeled an apple for Dad, but I ate it. Francis also told her he would be discharged next Monday and asked if she was free."
Wendy thought about Francis's reaction to the date next Monday. It turned out he wanted to meet Dulce.
That day was Valentine's Day. Hadn't he broken up with Dulce?
Wendy realized that Francis wanted to rekindle his relationship with Dulce.
Wendy's eyes turned dark as she asked, "What else? Did that woman agree? Are they going on a date next Monday?"
Brianna shook her head, "No, that woman said she was going to Emberwood and mentioned going with her date."
"Date?"
