Chapter 612 Became a Little Mute

Fiorello took Adalia away from here, but he didn't dare to take her directly back to Sunset Hills.

Maggie wouldn't be able to handle seeing Adalia like this.

Fiorello first took Adalia to a hotel and had Brian buy new clothes. He personally bathed and washed Adalia's hair.

Adalia was too dirty, and her hair smelled terrible, making it hard to clean.

Fiorello suppressed the urge to kill Isabella and tenderly bathed Adalia.

Adalia was very scared, her hands tightly clenched the whole time.

Fiorello gently washed her hair, dried it, and used a hairdryer to finish the job.

Although Adalia was scared, she sat quietly and obediently, somewhat dazed.

After changing Adalia into new clothes, Fiorello looked at the frail Adalia in front of him, his heart aching.

Fiorello coldly ordered, "Brian, go get Dylan to check on Adalia."

Sunset Hills.

Dylan, who received the call, immediately rushed to the hotel.

Maggie saw Dylan's hurried expression and didn't have time to ask before he left.

Maggie was very curious about what had happened.

Today, Brian went to follow Isabella and hadn't reported back to her.

Maggie felt a bit uneasy.

Arya washed some fruit for Maggie to eat. "Maggie, have some fruit."

"Okay." Maggie responded while calling Brian.

Brian, seeing Maggie's call at the hotel, asked Fiorello, "Fiorello, it's Maggie. Should I tell her about Adalia?"

"Not yet," Fiorello said. "I'll explain to her later."

Brian knew what to do.

Brian went to the hallway to take the call, lying that there was no news yet.

Soon, Dylan arrived.

Dylan had a hard time believing Adalia had been found when he heard it over the phone. When he saw her, his heart skipped a beat.

How did a perfectly fine person become so thin and lifeless? What had she gone through these past few months?

"Adalia," Dylan called softly.

Adalia looked at Dylan blankly and fearfully hid behind Fiorello.

Fiorello gently patted Adalia's hand and coaxed softly, "This is your mentor, Dr. Mason. Don't you remember? Adalia, don't be afraid. Daddy wants Dylan to check your throat, okay?"

Dylan asked, "What's wrong with Adalia's throat?"

"When I found Adalia, she couldn't speak," Fiorello said. "The hospital is crowded, and Adalia is afraid of strangers, so I asked you to come."

Adalia was very scared, but with Fiorello there, she could stay calm.

Dylan examined Adalia. Malnutrition was certain; she had been surviving on snacks for months, often going hungry, and was emaciated.

Dylan checked Adalia's throat, his expression becoming serious. "We need an X-ray to further confirm if her vocal cords are damaged."

Fiorello held Adalia's hand tightly, tenderly touching her face. "Adalia, I'm taking you somewhere, okay? Don't be afraid; I'll be with you the whole time."

Adalia nodded and threw herself into Fiorello's arms.

Only Fiorello's embrace could give her a sense of security.

Fiorello took Adalia to the hospital again. After the X-ray, it was confirmed that Adalia's throat was damaged; she had been poisoned mute.

Dylan stated that this kind of damage was permanent, and the chances of recovery were almost zero.

In other words, Adalia would be mute for the rest of her life.

Hearing this result, Fiorello's forehead veins bulged, and a fierce look flashed in his eyes. "Brian, bring Isabella to me."
