Chapter 586 Taken Away
Adalia is missing.
Arya and Dulce couldn't find her, confirming that something had happened to Adalia.
Fiorello had been entertaining guests and hadn't seen Adalia either.
Upon learning that Adalia was missing, Fiorello immediately sent people to look for her and personally went to the hotel entrance to check if Adalia had run out.
Adalia had always been sensible and wouldn't run around at a time like this.
Before finding Adalia, Fiorello instructed everyone to keep it from Maggie to avoid worrying her.
Fiorello had the security search the entire building and check the surveillance footage, but there was no sign of Adalia leaving the building.
Adalia was still in the building, but no one could find her.
When Eleanor found out that Adalia was missing, she said, "Fiorello, you go entertain the guests first. I'll have people look for Adalia. She might be playing somewhere."
Fiorello and Maggie were the main characters of the wedding. If they didn't show up soon, it would arouse curiosity.
Only Fiorello could keep Maggie calm.
"Okay, Mom, let me know immediately when you find Adalia."
"Alright, don't worry." Eleanor asked for help to search every corner of the hotel.
As time went on, Arya became more worried and didn't know what to do.
"Could it be that human traffickers took Adalia?"
"Don't scare yourself," Mark comforted. "The guests at the wedding are all prominent figures. Human traffickers wouldn't sneak in here."
Dulce also said, "It's unlikely that human traffickers would come here to kidnap someone. They wouldn't risk their lives for money. I'll ask Francis to help look."
Francis was a police officer, and it was his duty to help when a child went missing.
Everyone was secretly looking for Adalia, not daring to alarm Maggie.
But it couldn't be kept a secret. Olivia noticed something was wrong and, after Maggie had a drink, deliberately told her, "Maggie, Adalia is missing. Your mom and I have been looking for her for a long time but couldn't find her. Human traffickers might have taken her. ."
"What?" Maggie panicked immediately. "What's going on? Adalia hasn't been found yet?"
Maggie couldn't think of anything else and quickly found Fiorello to ask, "Is Adalia missing?"
Seeing that Maggie knew, Fiorello couldn't hide it anymore and said, "Everyone is looking for her. Adalia might have gotten tired and fallen asleep somewhere. Don't worry."
"Adalia wouldn't be so playful. Something must have happened."
Maggie recalled the last time she saw Adalia and said, "Before the wedding started, Adalia came to the lounge to find me. After that, no one saw her again, right?"
If Adalia had gone missing at that time, it had already been an hour.
Maggie couldn't focus on the rest of the wedding and went to look for Adalia.
Everyone searched inside and outside the building but couldn't find Adalia.
Many guests knew about Adalia's disappearance and were talking about it.
Olivia saw Arya and the others anxiously looking for Adalia while she sat leisurely eating.
Two hours after Adalia went missing, Maggie became desperate and called the police.
With the police involved, the nature of the situation changed completely. They initially defined Adalia's disappearance as getting lost but didn't rule out the possibility of human trafficking or kidnapping by enemies.
The police took statements and searched the hotel but couldn't find her.
In the latter part of the wedding, Maggie and Fiorello were too distracted to continue, and Joseph and Eleanor entertained the guests.
Olivia left after eating and went home in a particularly good mood. She entered Isabella's room and said, "Isabella, let me tell you, Maggie's daughter is missing. She disappeared at the wedding, and everyone is going crazy looking for her."
Olivia was smiling, but her expression changed drastically when she saw the hairpin in Isabella's hand.
"Isabella, where did you get that hairpin?" Olivia remembered that Adalia had been wearing that hairpin today.
Isabella stared blankly at the hairpin, a sinister smile appearing on her lips. "Mom, does this hairpin look familiar? I took it from that child. I thought it was pretty too."
Olivia's heart skipped a beat, and she asked in horror, "Did you go out today? Did you go to the wedding? Did you take Adalia?"
