Chapter 671 Massive Bleeding

When Maggie arrived at the hospital, she suddenly experienced some bleeding, but it didn't seem like a sign of labor. There were no contractions, just a bit of bleeding.

After the doctor examined her, they suggested that she be admitted for observation to monitor the baby's condition closely. If any issues arose, an emergency C-section would be necessary.

Additionally, Maggie had a blood clotting disorder, which posed a high risk of severe bleeding during childbirth. The blood bank needed to have a supply of blood that matched Maggie's type.

The doctor informed Fiorello of all the potential complications. Each risk, if it occurred, would be unbearable and could endanger the baby.

While Maggie waited outside, Fiorello listened to the doctor with a serious expression. "We'll get her admitted and follow all your instructions."

Specialized tasks should be handled by professionals.

Fiorello was a major shareholder and owner of the hospital, ensuring that Maggie would be attended to by the best doctors.

"Yes, Mr. Flores. I'll arrange for Mrs. Flores to be admitted now. She should avoid moving around and stay in bed as much as possible."

Maggie waited in the lounge and saw Fiorello coming out of the doctor's office. She asked, "What did the doctor say? Is the baby okay?"

"Everything is fine. We'll get you admitted. The doctor said you could go into labor at any time." Fiorello didn't mention the risks to avoid worrying Maggie. He held her hand and said, "I'll call Mom to bring the things we prepared for the baby and you to the hospital. From now on, we'll stay here and wait for our baby to be born."

Maggie believed Fiorello and felt much better, eagerly anticipating the baby's arrival.

Soon, Maggie's admission was complete. She was placed in the best room in the hospital, equipped with everything she needed and a great view.

As soon as Maggie was admitted, Dulce, Arya, and Eleanor arrived with Adalia, followed quickly by Joseph and Holden. The room was suddenly crowded.

Maggie smiled and said, "You don't need to be so nervous. It's not happening just yet."

Adalia gestured to show her concern, "Mom, does giving birth hurt? Don't worry, I'm here with you."

Maggie felt very touched. "It doesn't hurt. When I had you, it didn't hurt either. You'll soon meet your little brother or sister."

Adalia smiled, excitedly reaching out to touch Maggie's belly.

Arya asked, "Maggie, are you having any stomach pains?"

"No," Maggie replied, showing no signs of labor.

Eleanor asked with concern, "How about your back? Is it hurting?"

"My back hurts a bit," Maggie said, touching her back, "but it's not too bad."

Holden said, "Maggie, don't worry. We're all here with you. Just call us if you need anything."

As her father-in-law, Joseph didn't express his concern verbally but showed it through his actions.

Fiorello came in and saw the room full of people. "Maggie needs to rest. You should all go home and come back when the baby is born."

Arya said, "I'll stay with her. In case something happens, you might need help."

Dulce raised her hand. "I want to stay too. I promised Maggie I'd be here. We'll wait outside and not disturb her rest."

With Maggie about to give birth, no one wanted to leave. They all waited in the hallway, while Adalia stayed in the room with Maggie.

Fiorello didn't show any signs of worry in front of Maggie, fearing it would stress her out. He had already called Dylan to come to the hospital, thinking that having Dylan there would increase their chances if anything went wrong.

During the day, Maggie passed the time playing with Adalia and resting when she got tired.

The doctor came in to check on her every two hours. Throughout the day, Maggie showed no signs of complications. However, late at night, while she was asleep, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her abdomen and noticed a wet sensation below. She panicked and called out, "Fiorello, Fiorello, I think my water just broke."

Fiorello, who had been sitting on the couch nearby, immediately rushed to her side. When he lifted the blanket, his face turned pale.

Maggie hadn't just broken her water; she was experiencing severe bleeding.
