Chapter 333 Pregnant

Fiorello sniffed himself and found out he indeed smelled like medicine.

He couldn't tell the truth, so he said, "William's been on meds lately. Maybe I picked up his scent. Have you picked out a dress yet?"

William was Fiorello's assistant, so it made sense they'd be around each other a lot, and the scent would transfer.

Maggie didn't think much of it and said, "Yeah, I chose this pink-purple gradient dress. Adalia and I both love it."

"Alright, I'll have someone deliver it tomorrow morning," Fiorello said, squatting down to gently ask Adalia, "Adalia, have you made your choice?"

Adalia nodded enthusiastically. "I'll wear a purple dress too, so I can match with Mom."

Fiorello smiled. "Great, then I know what suit to pick for tomorrow."

He decided on a purple suit so the family of three would match.

Arya then said, "Well, you all go tomorrow. I'll stay home."

Fiorello stood up. "Arya, my mom insisted you come. Tomorrow's a big day for the Flores family. You need to be there."

Arya looked at Maggie and Fiorello, hesitated for a moment, then said, "Alright, I'll go with you tomorrow. Adalia, you'll sleep with Grandma tonight. We need to get up early, so go to bed early."

Adalia obediently said, "Okay."

Arya took Adalia to her room to sleep, and Maggie said, "I'll go brush my teeth and put on a face mask. Otherwise, it'll be hard to do my makeup tomorrow."

Fiorello looked at her with affection. "Alright, you go ahead and freshen up. I'll change my clothes."

Maggie went to the master bathroom. As she was brushing her teeth, she suddenly felt nauseous and threw up.

Feeling awful, Maggie rinsed her mouth and felt a bit better. Fiorello heard the commotion and rushed in. "Maggie, what's wrong?"

"I felt a bit nauseous. Maybe I swallowed some toothpaste. It's nothing."

Maggie didn't dare use toothpaste again and just rinsed with water.

Fiorello asked nervously, "Feeling better?"

"Yes, better now." Maggie took a deep breath, and the discomfort eased.

Fiorello didn't think much of it. "That's good."

Maggie washed her face and planned to put on a face mask, but the smell made her nauseous again, so she skipped it.

She didn't know what was going on lately; it wasn't the first time she felt nauseous.

The next day.

Maggie couldn't get up; she was very sleepy. Arya got up to make breakfast.

When Maggie finally got up, Fiorello had already eaten and left. He was busy today and had to go to the office first. He'd come to pick up Maggie before the dinner party.

Adalia didn't have to go to school today; she was playing with building blocks on the balcony.

Maggie yawned and sat down, taking a bite of bread. She smelled a strong odor coming from the kitchen.

"Mom, what are you making? It smells so strong."

Arya came out with a pizza, smiling. "I made your favorite pizza. Try it."

As soon as Arya put it on the table, Maggie felt nauseous again and turned to vomit into the nearby trash can.

"Mom, please take it away. It smells too bad."

"No way." Arya sniffed it. "It smells good. Didn't you always love this?"

Seeing Maggie in discomfort, Arya took the pizza away. She seemed to think of something and walked over to Maggie with a mysterious smile. "Maggie, are you pregnant?"

Maggie smiled bitterly. "Mom, no, I can't have children."

Arya was shocked. "Why?"

Maggie had only told Arya that she had been examined and knew she had given birth before, but she hadn't told her that she was infertile.

The doctor had said her chances of getting pregnant were very low, and her previous car accident had damaged her waist. Even if she did get pregnant, it would be hard to carry to term.

Moreover, Fiorello's sperm was inactive, so there was no possibility of her getting pregnant.
