Chapter 427 Mysterious Man

"What do you want, Gregory? Come any closer, and I'll call the cops." Jenny was scared when Gregory shut the door.

"Go ahead, call them. Let everyone know the Holmes heiress slept with the Flores family's illegitimate son in a hotel," Gregory said coldly.

"You're shameless." Jenny slapped him.

Gregory got furious, grabbed her hand, threw her onto the bed, and pinned her down.

"Let go of me, you jerk," Jenny struggled but eventually gave up.

After another round of torment, Gregory dressed and left.

Jenny lay there, staring at the chandelier, hatred growing inside her, a tear slipping down her cheek.

She blamed Maggie. 'Maggie ruined my plans. If it weren't for her, I'd be Fiorello's wife and not bullied by Gregory.'

"Maggie, I'll make sure you suffer," Jenny clenched the bedsheet, eyes burning with hatred.

At Sunset Hills, Maggie looked at Fiorello, fresh out of the bathroom. "Did you plan for Jenny and Gregory to be together tonight?"

She knew Jenny would go, so she quickly took Fiorello away, not expecting Jenny to end up with Gregory.

Fiorello, in a bathrobe, drying his hair, said, "I didn't know Jenny would come. There was an aphrodisiac scent in the room. If it was Grandma's plan, she must've arranged it."

He almost got caught in the scheme, so he couldn't have plotted against them.

Maggie didn't smell it; she couldn't detect it.

Maggie said nothing more. Today's events proved Kimberly never accepted her.

Fiorello hugged her from behind. "Maggie, I'm sorry."

Maggie understood; he was apologizing for Kimberly.

"Let's sleep, I'm tired." Maggie gently pushed him away and lay down.

Fiorello pressed his lips together, stared at her back, and finally said nothing. He changed, turned off the light, and got into bed, hugging her as usual.

Maggie wasn't asleep. When his hand reached her belly, her anger faded.

She was pregnant with the Flores family's child, yet Kimberly did this. Maggie felt deeply wronged.

Fiorello knew what Maggie was thinking.

The next day, they followed their routine. Fiorello got up early, had breakfast with Maggie, and took Adalia to school on his way to work.

Maggie saw them off, then listlessly returned to bed.

Arya noticed something was wrong and followed her. "Maggie, want to go to the park today?"

"I don't want to," Maggie said. "Every time I go out, I am busy finding restrooms. I don't want to move."

Arya laughed. "What do you want to eat? I'll get it for you."

"Mom, I don't really want anything. Do you have something on your mind?"

"I see you look troubled, so I wanted to take you out," Arya said. "What's going on?"

Maggie felt guilty. "I'm fine."

"It's obvious you have something on your mind." Arya sat down. "Adalia told me she got into a fight at school yesterday."

"That happened," Maggie said. "But it's resolved. Just kids squabbling."

Maggie didn't want Arya to worry, so she didn't tell the truth.

Just then, the maid Ariel brought in some fruit. "Mrs. Flores, there's been a man hanging around our door recently. He looks suspicious. Should we call the cops?"

"A man?" Maggie was curious. "How come I haven't seen him? What does he look like?"
