Chapter 560 Annoying Person
"Why would Olivia take cigarette butts for no reason?"
Maggie frowned, and Erin added, "Maggie, don't blame me for being nosy, but I think Olivia came to steal something. When I saw her, she said she was helping to clean up. That ashtray looks pretty expensive. You should be careful."
That ashtray was indeed expensive. Maggie heard from Fiorello that it cost about one thousand dollars.
Maggie really thought these rich people had too much money, buying such an expensive ashtray.
"Okay, got it," Maggie said. "You go ahead and do your thing."
Maggie didn't believe that Olivia would steal anything.
Now that she and Fiorello were planning their wedding, Olivia was definitely feeling uncomfortable, but she didn't know what might happen.
Maggie went upstairs, unable to figure out why Olivia took the cigarette butts, and didn't think much of it.
Olivia returned to the living room, looking for Adalia, and saw Adalia following Dylan to the treatment room, so she followed them.
After Mark's herbal bath, he got dressed and lay on the bed. Arya massaged his legs and joints, taking meticulous care of him.
Dylan gave some instructions and handed Adalia a chart. "Familiarize yourself with this. Ask if you don't know something. I need to go prepare more medicine for Mark."
Adalia nodded. "Yes, Master, I will study hard."
After Dylan left, Arya took a break, poured Mark a glass of water, and fed him with a straw.
Adalia studied diligently nearby.
Arya said, "Adalia, make sure you learn well from Dr. Mason. Your grandfather's illness is thanks to Dr. Mason."
"Grandma, I know," Adalia said, feeling sorry for her grandmother. "Grandma, take a rest. Don't tire yourself out."
"Sis, how did Mark become paralyzed?" Olivia walked in, speaking bluntly.
Olivia didn't know that Mark had a stroke before, and she hadn't shown any concern. She was more interested in getting a sample.
Arya said, "He had a heart attack and then a stroke. His limbs aren't as stiff now. Dr. Mason said he will recover soon."
"Arya, if you ask me, you shouldn't be taking care of him. He abandoned you when he was young, and now you're taking care of him after his stroke? That's not right," Olivia criticized. "Mark deserves this. He has a wife and kids. Why did you bring him back?"
Mark, unable to speak, glared at Olivia. This woman was so nosy and meddlesome.
Arya said, "He is still Maggie's father. If he can be cured, we should cure him."
"Do you think he'll marry you if he gets better?" Olivia said. "By the way, I heard the Jackson family is quite wealthy. Is he willing to share his estate with you and Maggie?"
Arya explained, "The Jackson family's wealth is something Maggie and I don't want."
Adalia didn't like Olivia. Seeing Olivia there, she left the room.
Olivia kept an eye on Adalia. When she saw Adalia leave, she found an excuse and said, "Arya, you go ahead. I need to use the restroom."
Saying that, Olivia quickly went out to find Adalia.
Adalia was sitting on the living room floor, looking at the chart. Olivia walked over. "Adalia, what are you looking at? You're a girl. How can you look at such things? These things are shameless and indecent. Looking at them will make you go blind."
Adalia retorted, "My master gave this to me. It won't make me go blind. It's for learning."
"You dare talk back to me? You have no manners. Clearly, you weren't raised properly," Olivia said harshly, noticing that Adalia looked quite similar to Fiorello, which made her worry that what Isabella said might be true.
Olivia's gaze fell on Adalia's hair. Seeing Adalia lower her head to look at the chart again, she looked around to make sure no one was watching and then yanked a lock of Adalia's hair.
"Ouch!" Adalia cried out in pain.
