Chapter 700 Can't Put It Down

Fiorello was taking a nap, resting his eyes, when Maggie sat on his lap, waking him up.

Hearing what Maggie whispered in his ear, he instantly perked up.

Fiorello opened his eyes and saw the charming Maggie in front of him, feeling a stir in his heart.

Maggie wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled, "Were you really asleep?"

Fiorello pinched her waist and chuckled, "Don't mess around. I was joking with you earlier. Your body hasn't fully recovered yet. Let's wait until you're better."

"Don't want it? Alright then."

She then got up, walked to the window, closed it, deliberately drew the curtains, and then walked to the door and locked it.

Seeing Maggie's series of actions, Fiorello smiled faintly. "Are you planning something big?"

Maggie shrugged and slipped under the covers, "I'm actually a bit tired today. Let's rest. If you don't want to, you can sleep in the guest room."

The door was locked, and she wanted him to sleep in the guest room?

Did he not understand her little thoughts?

Maggie was angry.

Fiorello smiled and followed her under the covers.

"Maggie, are you mad?"

Maggie blinked and asked knowingly, "Why would I be mad?"

Fiorello chuckled, and she reached out to pinch his neck, "Do you want it or not?"

Fiorello laughed out loud. Maggie was naturally pinching lightly, just playing around.

"Who asks like that?" Fiorello stopped laughing and grabbed her hand. "Maggie, you really don't have to."

"It's okay," Maggie smiled.

Fiorello naturally knew what Maggie wanted to do.

He felt it would be unfair to Maggie.

But Maggie was willing; she wanted to serve him.

Fiorello stopped her, "Maggie, I understand your feelings."

Maggie removed his hand and said, "You've done so much for me. Let me do something for you."

Since Maggie said so, what else could Fiorello say?

From the moment he met Maggie, he had a premonition that he would be with her for a lifetime.

An hour later.

Fiorello kissed Maggie's forehead, "Maggie, I love you."

Maggie, with her eyes closed, lying on him, said, "Hmm, I know. I've always known."

Fiorello was so amazing that she almost failed.

Fiorello laughed, "You're tired today too. Go to sleep."

"Hmm." Maggie wanted to talk about Adalia, but when the words reached her mouth, she felt there was no need to say it. Fiorello had already done very well.

The exhausted Maggie quickly fell asleep.

Fiorello, however, couldn't sleep. Feeling refreshed, he walked out of the bedroom after Maggie fell asleep and heard crying from the nursery. He went in to check.

The two babies were hungry again; it was time for their feeding.

The nannies were mixing formula, and Eleanor was there, holding Nate and soothing him.

"Fiorello, why aren't you resting so late?" Eleanor asked.

"I heard the noise and came to check." Fiorello walked over to look at his daughter and son.

As soon as they started feeding, the two babies stopped crying. Their eyes were wide open, and their little hands reached out, holding onto the bottles as if afraid someone would take them away.

Watching the babies suck on the bottles, Fiorello's heart melted.

Perhaps this is the meaning of new life, watching your children grow bit by bit, passing on from generation to generation.

Fiorello used not to know why he was making money, but now he had a goal: to provide a better life for his wife and children.

This is the true meaning of a man's hard work and struggle.

Eleanor smiled and said, "Fiorello, look how cute they are. Now I think about the two kids every day, and it gives me so much energy."

Eleanor was always energetic, and as long as she looked at the babies, she was enthusiastic about everything.

She no longer played poker with her friends, and her gatherings with her sisters were canceled. Even if she went out, she would take her grandson or granddaughter with her.

Everyone in the circle knew Eleanor adored the two kids and praised Maggie for being lucky, as the two kids had won over their grandmother.

"Yeah," Fiorello responded briefly, not saying much more, his attention focused on the babies feeding.

He knew Eleanor liked children, so when she moved in, he didn't say anything.

He couldn't really marry a wife, have kids, and then throw his mom aside.

After becoming a parent, he understood his parents' hearts even more.

Eleanor asked, "Fiorello, why didn't Melissa stay at home today? I only found out when I came back that Melissa said she went to a hotel. Was this Maggie's arrangement?"
