Chapter 575 Fiorello Hits Someone

Nowadays, it's rare to see someone abandon a child.

Fiorello stared at the baby for a while and said, "This one is really newborn."

Earlier, Holden had told him that Jenny was about to give birth, and now Maggie had found a baby.

Fiorello had his suspicions but thought it was too much of a coincidence. If it was Jenny's child, why would it be left in a trash can near Sunset Hills?

Jenny hated the Flores family, so she wouldn't be so kind as to return a Flores family child.

To be safe, Fiorello asked Erin to take the baby downstairs first. He then pulled Maggie into a room and said, "This baby came under strange circumstances. Let's find out its identity first. I'll have Gregory come over."

Maggie understood. "You mean this is Jenny and Gregory's son? It can't be that coincidental. Why would Jenny throw the baby in a trash can?"

"Based on the timeline, Jenny should be giving birth around now. It's a possibility we can't rule out," Fiorello said gently. "If this is Gregory's son, he can take him away."

Fiorello wasn't going to raise someone else's child.

The thought that the baby might be Jenny and Gregory's made Maggie feel complicated.

She had lost her child, and now Jenny's son was born safely. It was hard not to feel a bit unbalanced.

Despite her efforts to conceive, she couldn't get pregnant. It felt like God was playing a joke, never letting things go her way.

Deep down, Maggie didn't want the baby to be Jenny's. She couldn't be so selfless as to be kind to an enemy's child.

Even though she knew a child couldn't be blamed for much, Maggie still couldn't face it calmly.

Fiorello had Brian drag Gregory over. At first, Gregory thought Fiorello was joking, but when he saw the baby, he was stunned.

Gregory glanced at the baby, then at Fiorello. "Is this really my son? Jenny's? Why is he at your house?"

Fiorello, expressionless, said, "Maggie found him. Whether he's your son or not, a paternity test will tell. I've arranged for an expedited test; we'll have the results in three hours. If Jenny cheated, then who knows."

Gregory laughed indifferently. "I've cheated many times too."

During those three hours, Gregory stayed at Sunset Hills waiting for the results.

He didn't know how to take care of a baby. The baby would get hungry and need a diaper change, and Gregory found it all troublesome.

While waiting for the results, Maggie couldn't bear to see such a small baby uncared for. When the baby cried from hunger, Maggie took care of him.

Gregory said, "Such a small baby; all it does is cry and eat. What else can it do?"

"All babies are like this. They can only express their needs by crying," Maggie said, handing the bottle to Gregory. "You feed him. You might be his dad; it's your responsibility."

Gregory took a step back. "You do it. He's so small, I'm afraid I'll break his neck."

Maggie retorted, "Besides enjoying yourself, what else can you do?"

Gregory laughed arrogantly. "A man only needs to know how to enjoy himself. Fiorello has enjoyed himself for so long, and you still haven't gotten pregnant?"

Gregory was venting and didn't think much before speaking.

He already had a bad relationship with Fiorello, so he would say anything to make Fiorello uncomfortable.

Hearing this, Maggie's eyes dimmed. Fiorello threw his shoe at Gregory. "If you can't speak properly, then shut up."

Gregory knew Fiorello would get angry, but he didn't expect him to be so crude as to throw a shoe. Gregory dodged quickly and wasn't hit.

When Holden arrived, he saw Fiorello throwing a shoe and thought he was seeing things.

Since when did Fiorello become so fierce?

"The results are in," Dylan said, holding the test results. "Fiorello, you pay extra, and I've practically become your private family doctor."

Fiorello, wearing only one shoe, got up to take the results. After glancing at them, he walked over to Maggie, took the baby, and then turned to Gregory, shoving the baby into his arms. "Take your son and get out."

His actions were swift and without hesitation.
