Chapter 302 Direct Action
Fiorello would have been truly terrified if he knew what Maggie and Holden were thinking about doing nothing.
Anyway, for Maggie and Holden, the pressure was now on Fiorello.
Maggie stared at Holden for a while and deliberately said, "Let's see how you perform."
Maggie had to show her demeanor.
Holden laughed and said, "Maggie, if Fiorello has any news in the future, I'll inform you immediately. For example, if someone wants to get close to him, or if he is hiding money."
Maggie gave Holden a Satisfied look and smiled. "Deal."
Holden also grabbed a cup of coffee and clinked it with Maggie's. "Cheers."
The coffee even tasted like wine.
Holden took a sip of coffee and asked, "Maggie, Fiorello has deceived you for so long. Are you really not angry and forgiving him so easily? Did you use the durian shell, washboard, or keyboard on him last night? If I were you, I would have used all of them. Deception is not something to be easily forgiven."
Maggie gave a thumbs up and said, "You truly are Fiorello's brother."
Holden laughed. "I was angry for you, Maggie. But you are so generous to forgive Fiorello so quickly. Fiorello used to worry that you would divorce him if you found out."
Maggie smirked. "Although I only graduated from high school, my brain works fine. I married a billionaire; I won't divorce him. I'm not stupid. Without a hefty settlement, divorce is impossible."
Holden was dumbfounded and gave a thumbs-up. "Maggie, that's what I call having a vision. Impressive."
It turned out Fiorello's worries were unnecessary.
Although Holden knew Maggie was joking, he admired her even more for her straightforwardness.
Maggie munched on some snacks and said, "This isn't some clichéd romance novel. It's a good thing Fiorello has money. I stumbled into the position of Mrs. Fiores, and I don't plan to give it up. I'm sure many people are eyeing this position."
Holden was amused. "Maggie, I never realized you were so humorous."
Maggie just smiled and said nothing. She didn't care whether Fiorello had money or not. If anything could separate her from Fiorello, it would be issues with their relationship and marriage, not external material factors.
Marriage was too difficult to maintain. Maggie wasn't sure if she could stay with Fiorello until old age, but she would cherish the present.
Two hours later, they arrived in London.
Holden was in the back getting the luggage while Maggie walked ahead, calling Fiorello and sending him a video she had recorded of Holden on the plane.
Maggie hadn't intentionally recorded the video. After putting her phone in airplane mode, she took it out to check her reflection and accidentally captured Holden's scheming.
Fiorello watched the video, forwarded it to Holden, and sent a message.
Fiorello: [Your card is frozen.]
Holden, who was moving the luggage, felt very hurt when he received the message.
He looked at Maggie walking ahead and said, "I really am stupid. Fiorello's relationship with his wife is better than with me, and I tried to sow discord."
Maggie called from the front, "Holden, hurry up."
"Coming," Holden said, carrying the luggage quickly to catch up with Maggie. "Maggie, Fiorello froze my card. Now I really have to rely on you."
Maggie laughed. "Fiorello knows you well. Here, take this card. It's the supplementary card he gave me."
This was the supplementary card Fiorello had given Maggie in the morning, with no limit and free to use.
Holden was very excited and laughed. "Maggie, you really treat me well."
Maggie laughed. The shrewd Fiorello had such a simple-minded brother.
It was like giving a slap and then a candy, and he was still so happy.
Maggie hadn't realized before how amusing Holden could be.
With the supplementary card, Holden became even more loyal to Maggie, helping her with everything.
After leaving the airport, Maggie contacted Mark. "I've arrived in London. Send me an address."
