Chapter 420 The Drugged Water

For months, Kimberly's been trying to get Maggie to visit the Flores Mansion. She's been asking Holden about Maggie, hoping to show she was accepting Maggie and cared about the baby.

Last night, with Fiorello around, Kimberly couldn't act. Now, with a chance, she won't miss it.

Kimberly wasn't worried about getting caught. She planned to abort the baby first, then expose Maggie's cheating, thinking Fiorello would understand.

She didn't want to reveal her plan to her grandson now, fearing Maggie would get suspicious and Fiorello wouldn't believe her.

Kimberly mixed abortion medicine into a glass of water with sugar. It was imported liquid medicine that would quickly cause a miscarriage.

She took the water to the dining room where Maggie was eating and chatting with Eleanor about baby clothes.

"Maggie, have some water," Kimberly said with a smile, handing her the glass.

Maggie was surprised. "Kimberly, you didn't have to."

"It's fine. You're carrying the Flores family's child. Bringing you water is nothing," Kimberly replied, smiling. "Drink up. I've realized family harmony is most important."

Maggie was shocked. Kimberly, usually stubborn, was now being kind and offering peace.

Maggie found it odd and hesitated to drink.

Seeing Maggie hesitate, Kimberly got anxious but kept smiling. "Maggie, drink up."

"Thank you, Kimberly," Maggie said, taking the glass.

Eleanor encouraged her too. "Maggie, drink it."

Feeling pressured, Maggie lifted the glass to her lips, thinking Kimberly wouldn't harm her.

Kimberly watched nervously, hoping Maggie would drink.

But Maggie smelled something off. Her pregnancy made her sensitive to smells.

Feeling uneasy, Maggie pretended to be startled and dropped the glass, smashing it.

Kimberly's expression changed. That was her precious abortion medicine.

Maggie noticed Kimberly's reaction, confirming her suspicion.

"Kimberly, I'm sorry. The baby kicked, and I dropped the glass," Maggie said.

Eleanor quickly moved Maggie aside. "Maggie, step away from the glass. Madison, clean this up."

Maggie moved, and Kimberly, though furious, said, "It's okay, as long as no one is hurt."

"I'm done eating. I have an appointment, so I'll be leaving," Maggie said, finding an excuse to leave.

Eleanor offered, "I'll have the driver take you."

"Alright." Maggie couldn't wait to leave.

Kimberly's plan failed, and she was angry. She needed more medicine.

She went to her room to make a call, while Maggie, leaving the mansion, felt uneasy. Was she overthinking? Would Kimberly harm her great-grandchild?

Maggie felt something was off.

She didn't dare tell Fiorello. Instead, she went to Dulce's salon to talk.

Hearing about Kimberly's behavior, Dulce exclaimed, "Is Kimberly being controlled? She didn't seem happy about your pregnancy at first."

"That's what puzzles me," Maggie said. "Dulce, do you think Kimberly might harm my baby? That water wasn't ordinary."
