Chapter 299 Giving Billions of Dollars

This wasn't the Visionary Futures Group; it was a scam organization.

She vented her anger by hitting Fiorello a few times, surprised that he didn't resist, allowing her to release her frustration.

When she had hit him enough, he grabbed her hand, his voice gentle. "Maggie, I was worried you couldn't handle it back then. In the future, if I lie to you again, you can do whatever you want to me."

Maggie was indeed angry. Thinking about how she had once dined with her in-laws without knowing anything, always calling them aunt and uncle, and how the whole family had cooperated to keep it from her, made her even more furious.

Maggie glared at him angrily and glanced at the washboard.

The meaning in her eyes was clear: kneel on the washboard.

Fiorello pretended to sigh and then quietly knelt on the washboard.

"Fiorello."

Seeing him actually kneel, Maggie couldn't bear it and pulled him up before he could kneel down.

He took the opportunity to push her onto the nearby sofa, his voice deepening as he said,"I knew you couldn't bear it."

Maggie realized she had been tricked and was both angry and helpless. "Let go of me."

"I won't." Fiorello held her hands. "Forgive me, and I'll let go."

Maggie, exasperated, let him press her down. She stared at the ceiling and said, "I was too naive. I should have suspected you from the beginning, from the time we got that house in Cityhomes West. I should have known."

Suddenly, she remembered something and pushed Fiorello up a bit, looking at him. "Dulce must have known you were with the Visionary Futures Group. Emily, Angela, they all knew, didn't they?"

It was only then that she fully realized that Dulce had seen the president of the Visionary Futures Group at the club before. She remembered Dulce's panicked expression that day and how she had asked about her date with Fiorello.

That day, Dulce had seen the true face of the Visionary Futures Group's boss, but Dulce chose to keep it a secret.

And then there was what Selena had said about her being the mistress of the Visionary Futures Group's boss.

And George had made David, who hadn't even been discharged from the hospital, apologize to her because of Fiorello.

Because of Fiorello, the Quixote family had bowed down, Samwise's law firm had been investigated, and the factory had closed down.

Everyone knew, except her.

Fiorello nodded. "They knew."

Maggie felt like hitting him again, gritting her teeth. "Fiorello, you bastard."

Fiorello leaned down and kissed her lips, the best way to make a woman shut up.

Sure enough, under Fiorello's passionate kissing skills, Maggie's anger dissipated a lot.

Fiorello had lied to her, but the things he had done for her were real.

Maggie just found it hard to digest such a large amount of information all at once.

She had married a billionaire, something only novels dared to write about. In reality, it was too difficult. However, it had happened to her.

Seeing her anger dissipate a bit, Fiorello straightened up, looking at her with deep affection and indulgence. "Maggie, you won't leave me, will you?"

There was a hint of unease in his tone.

This was the boss of the Visionary Futures Group, a man feared in the business world, and few things could make him worry. However, in front of her, he was uneasy.

He was afraid of losing her.

Maggie looked at the man in front of her, feeling a pang of heartache, and said, "I'm not stupid. It's not easy to find a billionaire. I won't let you go. I'm just angry that you didn't tell me earlier. You wanted to live in a three-bedroom apartment, but I wanted to live in a big villa. You wanted to drive a Chevrolet, but I wanted to ride in a luxury car. If I had known you were so powerful, I wouldn't have worried when we got involved with the Quixote family and Samwise."

Fiorello laughed. He loved Maggie's straightforwardness, not pretentious at all.

Maggie glared at him, pushing him away, but she remained lying on the sofa. "Fiorello, I want to stop trying so hard. Even if you dump me one day, a few billion dollars in alimony would be enough for me to live on."

Fiorello looked at her with eyes full of tenderness. "No ambition. Your husband has billions, and you only want a few billion?"

Maggie said casually, "Forget a few billion, just give me a billion first. Don't just talk."

Fiorello said seriously, "Alright, I'll give you a few billion right now."

Saying this, Fiorello picked her up and walked towards the bed.

This "few billion" had another meaning now.

Realizing what he meant, Maggie was both amused and exasperated. "Fiorello, you really are a bastard."
