Chapter 300 The Feigned Illness Scheme
In any relationship, conflicts and quarrels were inevitable, but eventually, reconciliation would follow.
There was no conflict that lovemaking couldn't solve, and if it couldn't, then did it again.
Downstairs, Holden had been listening for a long time but heard nothing.
Holden sighed, "Fiorello is truly a cunning old fox, and Maggie is no match for him."
Brian asked earnestly, "Does Maggie know martial arts too?"
Holden glared at Brian. Of course, he was single; he didn't understand this at all.
"Brian, you should find a girlfriend when you have time. It's really pitiful," Holden said with a look of sympathy.
Brian shook his head and said, "Why get a girlfriend? They cry and are annoying."
Holden glanced at his hand. "Do you want to be with your hand for the rest of your life?"
Brian was speechless.
The next day,Maggie woke up on a soft, large bed. The curtains were drawn, blocking out the light, making it impossible to tell whether it was day or night.
She turned on the night lamp and looked around the room, feeling a bit like she was waking from a dream.
She patted Fiorello beside her to wake him up. "Fiorello, I had a dream last night that you became a billionaire."
Fiorello didn't even open his eyes, continuing to lie there with a slight smile on his lips. "Then open the curtains and see if it's a dream."
The curtains were electric, and Maggie, being new here, had no idea. She got out of bed and walked to the side, but Fiorello had already used the remote control to press the switch.
The curtains slowly opened from both sides, letting in the sunlight and revealing the beautiful view of the sky garden.
"This is not a dream," Maggie exclaimed, walking to the balcony to overlook the backyard of the large villa, gazing at the entire villa area, and looking further to see the iconic buildings of Cyberland.
Fiorello got up and casually put on a shirt without buttoning it, revealing his strong and muscular physique, which was very enticing.
He walked up behind her and embraced her. "Honey, look at the house I have prepared for you."
Even after a whole night, Maggie was still a bit shocked, excited, and incredulous.
It was like winning a billion-dollar lottery; no one could remain calm.
Maggie looked back at him, then at the sky garden. "Fiorello, you are already attractive enough to women; I'm afraid there are people I don't know who like you."
At this moment, Maggie was much calmer. She and Fiorello were not in the same world, and she no longer had the confidence to keep him for a lifetime.
Fiorello's deep eyes looked straight into her heart, understanding her thoughts.
"Whether two people can spend their lives together does not depend on whether their wealth matches," Fiorello said, "If you had met someone else at Mocha Haven Cafe instead of me and married an ordinary person, the two of you would be struggling for a living, quarreling over money and trivial matters, wearing each other down. Are you sure he could accompany you for a lifetime?"
Maggie's bright eyes looked at him and suddenly smiled. "It seems reasonable. Betrayal does not depend on being rich or poor, handsome or ugly; anyone can betray. Since that's the case, why not find a better one?"
"Marriage begins with fate and also depends on character," Fiorello said, "Don't you trust your husband's character?"
Maggie shook her head, thinking about how neither she nor Fiorello could have children, and she felt a bit regretful.
Maggie asked, "By the way, how did you find me last night?"
"I called you but couldn't get through. I went back to the apartment, and the security said you had returned, but Mom said you hadn't, so I guessed something had happened to you," Fiorello said, "Brian is good at tracking; it's not hard for him to find someone's whereabouts."
"Where's my phone?" Maggie suddenly remembered her phone was missing. "It was new."
She had just replaced her phone after the last car accident, and it had been less than a month, making her feel distressed.
Fiorello smiled. "Brian already got it back from Farrell."
Maggie immediately felt relieved and said, "That's good."
Fiorello handed the phone back to Maggie. Seeing that the phone was intact, she quickly turned it on.
After turning on the phone, Maggie saw several messages from Arya.
She quickly called back, but it was Mark who answered.
"Maggie, finally, your phone is through. Your mom is sick; she suddenly fainted," Mark said.
