Chapter 469 Don't Touch Her

Fiorello moved gently, and as the warm water touched her skin, Maggie's eyes filled with tears. She turned her face away, unable to look at him.

Fiorello washed her hands, wiped her forehead, then took off his scarf and tied it around her neck. "Don't be scared. I'm here, and everything will be fine. I'll get the hospital to say you have mental issues, and then get a forgiveness letter from the family. It'll all be okay."

Maggie stared at him in shock. "Are you nuts? I killed your grandmother. I'm a murderer. Are you really trying to clear a murderer? Don't you blame me? Don't you hate me?"

She couldn't wrap her head around his actions. Even now, he was still helping her.

At that moment, Maggie felt like she couldn't understand Fiorello at all. His eyes were unreadable.

Fiorello wrung out the blood-stained towel and scrubbed it. "Don't worry about your mom and Adalia. I'll take care of them. Just hang tight and wait for me for a few days. This will all blow over."

"Fiorello, are you even listening to me?" Maggie said urgently. "I killed your grandmother."

"I know." Fiorello gripped the towel tightly, his gaze cold. "My grandmother and my son are both dead. No one can know my pain. Do you think I don't want to avenge my child? I want to more than anyone, but she was my grandmother, the one who raised me. I can't kill her. On one side is my son, on the other is my grandmother, and now my wife is in the police station. Maggie, tell me, what should I do?"

His eyes welled up, and his facial muscles twitched with intense emotion. A bitter, self-mocking smile appeared on his face. His life had never been this dramatic.

Maggie saw the pain in his eyes and felt immense pain inside herself. She held her head in her hands and burst into tears.

Fiorello stood there, watching her, tears falling from his eyes. He looked up in agony, forcing the tears back. As he left, he only said, "Leave the rest to me. You don't need to worry about anything."

Fiorello walked out of the interrogation room. Joseph and Eleanor were waiting in the police station lobby. Seeing him, they quickly approached.

Joseph asked, "What did Maggie say? I heard from the cop that she admitted to killing your grandmother."

Eleanor said anxiously, "Is it really Maggie? How could she be so foolish?"

Murder was a crime, and it demanded justice.

Fiorello said nothing, but the answer was already clear.

This time, Joseph was enraged. The pain of losing Kimberly made him furious, and he said angrily, "Maggie must pay with her life for killing your grandmother. We must prosecute for murder."

Fiorello's expression was cold and stern. "You are not to touch her."

Such a cold warning shocked Joseph. "Fiorello, that was your grandmother who died. Maggie committed murder. No matter the reason, it doesn't change the fact that she committed a crime. You really are as stubborn as your grandmother said. I think you're crazy."

Eleanor couldn't help Maggie this time either. Her feelings were complicated. From a mother's perspective, she could understand Maggie, but understanding wasn't a reason for murder.

Eleanor said, "Fiorello, we can't have such a person in the Flores family. Look at how chaotic things have become since you married Maggie. Now she dares to kill. What else wouldn't she dare to do?"

"I'll say it again, no one is to touch her. I will give the Flores family, my deceased grandmother, and my deceased son an explanation." With that, Fiorello walked out of the police station.

Soon, the news of Maggie's murder was all over the internet, with Jenny fanning the flames behind the scenes.

She couldn't miss such a good opportunity. She had to make sure the whole world knew that Maggie was a murderer.
