Chapter 240 Two People's Perfect Cooperation
When it came to serious matters, Holden Flores didn't dwell on drinking health soup anymore.
Holden said seriously, "Fiorello, this time, you've encountered a difficult person. Kathy is stubborn. Moreover, she comes from a different ethnic group and will commit to a man once they are together.
Fiorello frowned. "What about the money from last time? Did she take it?"
"She didn't take it; she asked me to return it to you," Holden said, "She's renting a house now. Fiorello, your lack of memory precludes such extortion. Why not just deny it directly and sue her for defamation?"
Five years ago, Happy Pub no longer had surveillance footage, and with Kathy's words, it could withstand scrutiny. We really couldn't confirm whether anything happened that night.
When Fiorello's phone rang, Holden was giving advice, and Eleanor was calling. Fiorello answered, "Mom, what's up?"
"Fiorello, come back quickly; there's a woman at home claiming you slept with her, calling me 'mom' at first sight, wanting to be my daughter-in-law; what's going on?"
Upon hearing this, Fiorello's face darkened immediately. "I'll be right back."
After hanging up the phone, Fiorello put on his coat. Holden asked, "Fiorello, what's wrong?"
"Kathy found her way to our house."
Holden said, "If she managed to find her way here, she definitely has ill intentions."
The Flores Manor.
Eleanor looked at the woman in front of her, growing angrier by the moment.
Suddenly, a woman appeared and called her "mother" right away, even mentioning becoming her daughter-in-law, which startled her.
"Aunt Eleanor, please don't be angry. Let's see what Fiorello has to say when he returns." Jenny gently reassured Eleanor.
The Flores family and the Holmes family had a relationship, and they lived fairly close to each other. Jenny often came to keep Eleanor company.
Initially drawn to Jenny's grace, thoughtfulness, and charming demeanor, Eleanor had considered matching her with Fiorello and arranging dates.
Yet, even when Fiorello was around, he remained aloof, treating Jenny with polite indifference or simply ignoring her.
Initially, Eleanor had wished for the two to form a romantic connection, but Fiorello eventually married Maggie, making Eleanor forget her previous intentions of matchmaking Jenny.
Covering her chest, Eleanor said angrily, "There's not a single person who gives me peace of mind."
Jenny consoled. "Aunt Eleanor, I believe this woman has misled Fiorello."
"I haven't misled anyone." Kathy looked at Eleanor, excitedly declaring, "I really had sex with your son. I remember clearly that Mr. Flores has a mole on his buttocks."
Upon hearing this, Eleanor felt utterly embarrassed, covering her face with her hands. How could a young girl speak so shamelessly?
Eleanor awkwardly chuckled. "Ms. Nelson, I'm not your mother-in-law, and besides, my son is already married. It's inappropriate to speak like this."
"Is Mr. Flores married?" Kathy, sensing Eleanor's disapproval, became agitated. "That won't do. He must marry me; I've given myself to him, and he must take responsibility."
Eleanor felt speechless.
Jenny intervened. "Ms. Nelson, please don't get worked up. Maybe we should wait for Fiorello to come back."
Feeling unable to communicate with Kathy, Eleanor decided to wait for Fiorello to handle the situation.
About half an hour later, Fiorello returned with Holden.
Seeing Fiorello, Jenny couldn't hide her joy. "Mr. Flores."
Recalling her previous warning, Jenny refrained from speaking her mind.
Fiorello, as though he hadn't noticed Jenny, strode into the hall, his gaze falling on Kathy.
Upon seeing Fiorello return, Kathy's face lit up. "Mr. Flores, you're back."
