Chapter 382 Came to Find Mom

"Hey Fiorello, what's up?" Holden asked, just popping into the office to grab something.

Fiorello's serious look made Holden uneasy.

Fiorello didn't answer, just headed to the office, and Holden followed.

Seeing Isabella standing there, William said, "Ms. Adams, come wait in the lounge with me."

"Thanks," Isabella smiled, feeling relieved.

Isabella followed him to the lounge. It was her first time at Visionary Futures, and she was impressed.

Fiorello and Holden talked for a while. After they finished, Holden said, "Fiorello, Isabella comes by looking for you."

"Where is she?" Fiorello asked, not having noticed her.

Holden was speechless. "Fiorello, do you notice any woman other than Maggie? Isabella was right in front of you."

Fiorello shrugged, "Didn't see her. What did she want?"

"She came to thank you. If there's nothing else, I'm out," Holden said. "By the way, Grandma misses Maggie. She called me today. If you have time, take Maggie to visit her."

"Don't worry about it," Fiorello said. "Maggie and I are moving to Sunset Hills this weekend."

Holden sighed, "Alright, I'm leaving."

After Holden left, Fiorello asked William and found out Isabella was in the lounge.

Fiorello went to the lounge. Isabella, who had been waiting for over an hour, quickly stood up. "Mr. Flores, I'm here to thank you for helping me last time. This is a token of my appreciation."

Isabella handed over a carefully selected, expensive designer tie.

"Thank you," Fiorello said politely but didn't accept it. "No need to be so formal. You're Maggie's cousin. Take it back."

If it weren't for Maggie, he wouldn't have helped.

"Mr. Flores, please accept it, or I'll feel embarrassed," Isabella insisted. "It's just a small token."

Seeing her insistence, Fiorello reluctantly accepted. "Thank you."

Isabella was overjoyed. "Mr. Flores, I'll take my leave now."

"Alright," Fiorello responded indifferently.

After Isabella left, Fiorello glanced at the tie and frowned.

William, with perfect timing, smiled. "Mr. Flores, if you don't like it, can I have it? I need a tie."

"Take it," Fiorello tossed it to William.

When it came to ties, he only wore the ones Maggie bought.

William caught it. "Thanks, Mr. Flores."

It was a designer tie, worth quite a fortune.

William laughed. "Isabella is quite generous."

If she wasn't Maggie's cousin, he would've thought Isabella liked Fiorello.

Fiorello patted William on the chest. "Let's go."

There was a social event that evening.

Fiorello avoided social events when he could, but some were unavoidable.

He was eager to finish up and go home to Maggie.

Fiorello told Maggie everything he did. Even for social events, he told her who he was meeting and if there were any women present.

Maggie thought he was overdoing it, but he said, "This is my way of giving you a sense of security. I've heard pregnant women often feel insecure."

At Cityhomes West, Maggie smiled at Fiorello's message. He not only reported who was at the event but also sent photos.

Seeing her smile, Adalia asked, "Mom, is it a message from Dad?"

Maggie put away her phone. "Yes, Dad is at a social event and will be back late. Adalia, go to sleep first, and I'll tell you a story."

"Okay." Adalia snuggled into Maggie's arms, smiling sweetly. "I love it when you tell me stories, Mom."

Maggie smiled and started telling Adalia a story. She had no idea that Emily had run away from home, asking for directions along the way, and was already on her way.
