Chapter 413 Love Hidden in the Store Name
Isabella invited Maggie's family to the opening ceremony, but Fiorello had other plans, so Brian took Maggie and Arya.
Adalia had school, and Maggie didn't want to disrupt her studies.
When Maggie got to the coffee shop, she saw the name Isabella had chosen.
"Soulful Harbor Cafe," Maggie read aloud, smiling. "Great name, Isabella."
Maggie's belly was noticeably bigger, even in loose clothes. Isabella glanced at it, a flicker of envy in her eyes.
"I had some help with the name. Come in and sit; the ceremony's about to start," Isabella said, smiling. "Where's your husband?"
"He's busy with work," Maggie replied, handing over a gift. "Isabella, I wish you great success."
"You're too kind," Isabella said, holding Maggie's hand. "Come in and sit. Auntie, you too."
Maggie bought eight flower baskets. Isabella had many friends, and more baskets kept arriving.
Since James became paralyzed, Isabella had managed all their assets, doubling her net worth. Being beautiful, she had many suitors.
With James paralyzed, other men saw a chance to court Isabella, hoping to gain both wealth and beauty.
Maggie and Arya sat in the shop while Isabella greeted friends. Soon, the entrance was filled with flower baskets.
Isabella glanced at the shop's name. She had named it herself, hiding her feelings for Fiorello in it, hoping it could be his Soulful Harbor.
A secret crush is always careful not to be discovered but also wants to be known.
Arya, sitting in the shop, looked at Isabella and said to Maggie, "Isabella's really capable, opening such a big shop on her own. Since James became paralyzed, she's gotten more beautiful. That pink evening dress she's wearing is stunning."
Isabella often worked out and had a great figure. In her delicate pink evening dress, she was truly alluring.
Maggie smiled. "She is indeed capable. They say women choose marriage for happiness and divorce for the same reason. She didn't divorce James, but it's almost like she did, without any property disputes."
Arya said, "I heard from Olivia that Isabella sent James to a nursing home."
Maggie admired Isabella for that. Sometimes she even suspected James' paralysis was intentional on Isabella's part.
James' paralysis was a better outcome than a divorce.
James' parents were also sent back to their hometown by Isabella.
At that moment, Olivia and her husband arrived, dressed formally, saying they were there to support Isabella.
When the ceremony started, Isabella invited Maggie to co-host. Amid applause, Soulful Harbor Cafe officially opened.
With great opening discounts and Isabella's connections, the first day's business was excellent.
Arya was pulled away by Olivia to go shopping. Isabella greeted some guests and then made a glass of juice for Maggie.
Isabella smiled. "What do you think of my shop?"
"It's great," Maggie said, "I can see you put a lot of effort into it."
Isabella said meaningfully, "My Soulful Harbor Cafe, I must put my heart into making it the best."
Maggie didn't catch the underlying meaning and smiled lightly. "It definitely will be."
Isabella stared at Maggie's belly and said, "Judging by your belly, it should be a boy."
