Chapter 458 Taking Advantage of the Situation
Isabella casually poured herself a glass of water and said, "Mrs. Kimberly Flores can't stand Maggie. She thinks the kid ain't a Flores, so she paid off Maggie's nanny and drugged her."
"Oh my God." Olivia's eyes went wide with shock. "Mrs. Kimberly Flores is savage. But hey, is the kid even a Flores?"
Isabella shrugged. "Doesn't matter now. Maggie almost lost her uterus. If she wants kids in the future, it's gonna be nearly impossible. I can tell she hates the Flores now."
Olivia sat down, trying to process the bombshell, and said, "From what you're saying, it looks like things are gonna get rough for those two."
Isabella smirked and asked, "Mom, with Maggie's temper, what do you think she'll do next?"
Olivia looked at Isabella and asked back, "What is Maggie gonna do?"
Isabella sneered. "Maggie is tough as nails. Mrs. Kimberly Flores killed her kid; she definitely won't let it slide. Just wait, once Maggie's out of the hospital, the Flores family is gonna be a mess."
Olivia was taken aback. "Could Maggie really make Mrs. Kimberly Flores pay with her life?"
Isabella smiled and asked back, "Why not?"
Olivia said, "Wouldn't that mean she completely breaks with the Flores family?"
"Isn't that perfect?" Isabella tugged at her red lips and said, "If she doesn't leave the Flores family, others won't have a shot."
Olivia felt that Isabella was acting weird today and saying strange things.
Olivia scrutinized Isabella and said, "Isabella, weren't you close to Maggie before? Why do I feel like you're kinda happy about her miscarriage?"
Isabella sneered and asked back, "Mom, don't you also not want Arya to outshine us? Do you want them to live better than us?"
This left Olivia speechless.
She indeed felt jealous of Arya. Arya, who used to be beneath her in every way, suddenly became the mother-in-law of a wealthy family. She was super envious.
Isabella took a sip of water, stood up, and said, "Fiorello is such a catch. Lots of women want him. Now that Maggie is pushing him away, she can't blame others."
Olivia caught the underlying meaning and was shocked. "Isabella, you like Fiorello."
Isabella asked back, "Is that not allowed?"
Olivia was genuinely stunned. "When did you start liking Fiorello?"
"Mom, if I can become the wife of a wealthy family, you will also enjoy the perks," Isabella said, "Now that Fiorello and Maggie's relationship is on the rocks, instead of letting others take advantage, why not let us benefit?"
Isabella had thoughts before, but now that Maggie lost her kid, her thoughts became even stronger.
She was no longer satisfied with silently admiring him; she wanted to stand by his side with pride and be his wife.
Olivia was scared but also thought that if Isabella married into a wealthy family, she would also gain respect.
After Isabella's divorce, Olivia felt humiliated in front of relatives and friends, and there were always people gossiping behind her back.
Olivia asked seriously, "Isabella, how confident are you? You are not bad-looking and have better conditions than Maggie. I support you."
Isabella said, "We'll see, Mom. I'm gonna rest now. When you have time, you should also go comfort Arya. We still have to keep up appearances."
Olivia nodded. "I get it. I'll also help gather info about Maggie and Fiorello."
Isabella went back to her room, took out the handkerchief Fiorello had given her, closed her eyes, and inhaled its scent. Fiorello's handsome face popped into her mind, and her love for him grew even stronger.
At the hospital, Maggie cried day and night. When she was awake, Fiorello didn't dare to approach her. Only when she was asleep did Fiorello enter the ward and silently watch over her.
In fact, when Maggie was half-awake, she knew Fiorello was by her side, but she pretended not to know.
She couldn't face Fiorello or the Flores.
Her child was killed by Kimberly.
She was filled with hatred.
