Chapter 654 The Last Chance
Even with a bit of doubt, as long as it was Maggie's request, Fiorello would comply.
A simple appraisal, just a small matter.
Brian immediately went to handle it.
Meanwhile.
Jenny, who had left the beauty salon after receiving a call, arrived at the reservoir in the suburbs.
Kyle's car was parked by the roadside. Jenny got out and walked over, "Kyle, why did you ask me to come here?"
"Fiorello has already tracked me down. My whereabouts are exposed. I need to leave Cyberland for a while," Kyle said. "You have two options now: either leave Cyberland with me or wait to be caught."
Jenny panicked and asked, "Where will we go if we leave Cyberland?"
"Come with me to the no-man's land," Kyle said, puffing on a cigar. "Once we're there, neither the police nor Fiorello can touch you."
"When can we come back?" Jenny was unwilling. "Maggie is about to give birth. If I leave now, it will be too easy for her."
Since she escaped, it had been almost a year. She lived in constant fear, scared even by the sound of sirens, unable to sleep peacefully.
Her health was deteriorating, with festering sores that had become infected and foul-smelling. Just a week ago, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer.
She didn't have much time left and was desperate to kill Maggie. At this moment, she didn't want to leave Cyberland.
Kyle said, "You'd better stay there for a few years."
"No, I can't wait that long," Jenny refused. "Kyle, I want to stay. Whether I live or die next, don't worry about it. I've accepted my fate."
"Do you hate Fiorello and Maggie that much?" Kyle was surprised. Although he hated Fiorello, he wouldn't risk his own safety.
"I hate them. I wish they would go to hell," Jenny said through gritted teeth, her hands clenched, eyes full of hatred. "My current situation is all their doing. If I can't have peace, neither will they. Kyle, I don't care what your original intention was in saving me. Now, I just want to stay and finish what I need to do."
Kyle didn't really want to let go of such an obedient tool.
"I'll give you one day. Do what you need to do. If you don't get caught by the police, I'll take you out of Cyberland."
"Okay." Jenny, wary of Kyle, didn't dare to bargain further.
Kyle got in his car and left. Jenny stood alone by the reservoir. She had seen the message from Maggie but hadn't replied.
Once Kyle left, she would lose her protector and truly have little time left.
From today's meeting with Maggie, she guessed that Maggie didn't know her identity. She had to take one more gamble.
Jenny picked up her phone and replied, "Okay, Maggie."
Tomorrow, she must kill Maggie, or she would die with regret.
Maggie received the reply and immediately told Fiorello, "Christina replied. She agreed to go shopping tomorrow."
Fiorello said, "Keep her steady. I'll have Brian go tomorrow."
No matter who the other party was, as long as they could control this woman, they could get more information about Kyle.
That night was a bit hard to endure. Maggie hoped time would pass quickly.
With a death wish in her heart, Jenny couldn't let go of one person—her son, Sharon.
Jenny texted Gregory: [Let's meet tonight at the usual place. Bring your son.]
She just wanted to see her son one last time.
Gregory saw the message and replied with two words:[No time.]
Jenny wanted to see her son, but Gregory wouldn't let her have her way.
If he wanted to meet, they would meet. If he didn't, Jenny shouldn't even think about it.
Jenny felt like she was at Gregory's beck and call. When he wanted her, he would contact her. When she wanted to contact him, it was impossible.
Unwilling to give up, Jenny sent another message: [I'm wearing the black stockings you like.]
Gregory looked at the message and found it amusing.
He deliberately teased Jenny: [Come naked, and I'll see you.]
Seeing the reply, Jenny was furious and wanted to kill Gregory.
"Bastard," Jenny cursed out loud.
She only dared to curse to herself.
Knowing Gregory wouldn't see her, Jenny gave up and prepared for tomorrow's plan.
