Chapter 681 Fiorello Handles the Conflict Between Mother-in-Law and Daughter-in-Law

Eleanor's words were not problematic, but they did reveal her possessiveness over the baby.

Arya didn't notice and laughed, "I don't have much to do. From now on, I'll just help Maggie take care of the baby."

Adalia walked over to Fiorello, who was holding Nate. Adalia wanted to see her brother and was very fond of his cute appearance.

Seeing how much Adalia liked her brother, Fiorello asked, "Do you want to hold your brother?"

Adalia nodded excitedly and immediately reached out to hold him.

Eleanor became very nervous and quickly said, "Adalia is still a child herself; she doesn't know how to hold a baby. What if she drops him?"

Adalia's hands froze in mid-air, unsure of what to do.

Fiorello said, "It's okay."

Fiorello insisted on handing the baby to Adalia, "Hold your brother."

With Fiorello's encouragement, Adalia dared to hold him.

Adalia carefully held her brother, feeling very happy, "Dad, my brother is so well-behaved. He's sticking his tongue out at me. He's so cute."

Adalia was overjoyed.

Fiorello deliberately said, "Then you have to be fair. After holding your brother, you need to hold your sister too."

Fiorello said this intentionally for Eleanor to hear.

Fiorello, being experienced in the business world, could easily see the subtle changes among the people.

Some things may seem small, but once a rift forms in the heart, it can lead to bigger issues and sow the seeds of future problems.

Eleanor didn't understand the deeper meaning of Fiorello's words, but she didn't say anything when Fiorello made the decision.

Adalia held her brother and then went to hold her sister, feeling very happy.

Seeing Fiorello's approach, Maggie felt relieved. There were some things she didn't need to handle because Fiorello would take care of them.

After all, if she intervened, it wouldn't be as effective and could even cause conflicts between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.

No matter what, a daughter-in-law was never as close as a son.

She thought she wouldn't have to deal with mother-in-law and daughter-in-law issues, but she found herself facing them because of the birth of the children. Some things were quietly changing.

Maggie thought of Ann's mother-in-law, who also had a strong sense of possession over the child.

For now, it seemed that apart from this, Eleanor didn't have any other faults.

After playing for a while, the babies got hungry. Eleanor quickly asked the nanny to make formula, and Adalia watched curiously.

Maggie took the bottle and fed Nate. It was her first time feeding a baby, and seeing the baby contentedly drinking in her arms melted her heart.

The reason Maggie held her son first was that she thought of the child she had lost before. Holding her son felt like the lost child had returned.

As Maggie thought about it, her eyes reddened.

Fiorello understood Maggie and stood beside her, placing his hand on her shoulder. The couple didn't say anything, but their hearts were in sync.

Maggie pressed her cheek against her son's face, and her eyes became moist.

After drinking the formula, the babies quickly fell asleep. Seeing that it was getting late, Eleanor suggested taking the babies back.

Fiorello escorted them downstairs. After the children were in the car, Eleanor said, "Fiorello, go back and take care of Maggie. Leave the children to me. Don't worry."

"Mom," Fiorello said directly, "In the future, don't be so particular about how you treat the babies. They don't need to be raised so meticulously. You don't need to sterilize everything. It just makes everyone unhappy. When Maggie comes home in a few days, bring the children back."

Eleanor's face instantly darkened upon hearing this, "Fiorello, you can't be careless with the children. Are you blaming me for making Maggie's mom sterilize things? I'm doing it for the children's good. You young people don't have experience with raising children. Also, Adalia is so young, and Katie and Nate are still soft and fragile. If something happens when Adalia holds them, you'll regret it."

"You care about the children, and so do I. I'm their father. Do you think I would harm them?" Fiorello said sternly, "Don't bring up sterilizing things again."
