Chapter 1003 Jane, you're getting drunk.

"We'll roll the dice to see who gets the higher number. Whoever rolls higher wins." Jane thought this method was extremely fair. "After all, it's all random by the system. Let's see who's unlucky today."

Anthony ground his teeth, thinking, 'Why don't I study how to use Fcaebook properly? I'd heard that this dice rolling could be rigged.'

As soon as Anthony nodded, Jane cheerfully said, "I rolled a six, your turn."

'I had rolled a six, so I definitely wouldn't lose this round,' Jane thought.

Anthony decided not to argue with Jane now and sent back a dice emoji. It was a one.

The study echoed with Jane's unrestrained laughter, tinged with schadenfreude.

Jane thought this was a perfect start.

"Then I won't be polite!" Jane didn't bother to move a chair. She just tipped her toes and sat on the desk, turning to face Anthony. "I'll ask! Tell me what you know about Ainslee."

"Wait!" Jane had just finished speaking when she realized there was a trap in the question. She thought, 'If Anthony just syas a few things that could be found online, I'd be at a huge loss.'

Jane rephrased her question to be more detailed. "What is Ainslee's personality and preferences like? You should answer in detail and not just brush it off with a sentence or two, Anthony Clark. Don't be a sore loser!"

Anthony sneered, as if to say, "We'll see who's the sore loser."

"Ainslee is quiet and reserved. Although he is the head of the Richardson family, he doesn't like socializing and the family business. He loves astronomy and marine biology."

'Astronomy and marine biology?' Jane thought. When Jane heard these two words, she felt really confused.

These were completely outside Jane's knowledge base.

However, Jane noticed that when Anthony described Ainslee as quiet and reserved, his eyes were particularly indifferent, indicating that he didn't believe this description at all.

Ainslee's public persona was indeed refined and composed, but in private, Jane thought of the Ainslee in the lounge who was constantly snacking. She couldn't help but put two-faced, snack lover, and youthful on Ainslee.

"He isn't interested in the family business, so who is managing the Richardson family?" Jane inquired.

Anthony reminded Jane, "That's another question."

Jane suddenly realized that Anthony's previous information had a hidden meaning, deliberately setting up a suspense for her next question.

'Anthony is truly something!' Jane thought.

"Alright! Go on!"

Jane was lucky and rolled a five, a smile tugging at her lips.

'Anthony couldn't possibly roll a six, right? A one-in-six chance, could he be that lucky?' Jane thought.

As it turned out, Anthony didn't have that one-in-six luck and he rolled a three.

Jane gestured for Anthony to continue the previous topic.

"Didn't Ainslee tell you that Jovan is now by his side?" Anthony swirled the wine in his glass, accelerating its contact with the air.

He continued, "If I'm not mistaken, Jovan is now helping him manage the Richardson family."

Jovan had become Ainslee's lifelong worker, while Ainslee, like a wealthy landowner, just played with what he liked and waited to get rich. Upon reflection, Jovan seemed quite pitiful.

'But from Jovan and Ainslee's interaction in the lounge, Jovan doesn't seem like a pitiful worker at all,' Jane thought.

Jane couldn't help but ask, "Why is Ainslee so confident in handing over the family's affairs to my brother? Would the other members of the Richardson family agree?"

Jovan is not part of that family. The Richardson family is wealthy and powerful. How could they possibly agree?"

Anthony remained silent.

Jane understood and gritted her teeth, saying, "This is another question, right? Go ahead!"

This time, Jane wasn't so lucky.

Jane rolled a three.

Anthony rolled a four.

"Ask whatever you want." Jane just hoped Anthony would quickly finish this round so they could roll again. She had many more questions to ask.

Anthony handed the glass of well-aerated red wine to Jane. "You drink. I don't have anything to ask right now."

Anthony only wanted to ask, "Do you still have feelings for me?"

Whether Jane did or didn't, Anthony wouldn't let her go easily.

So, asking or not didn't matter.

Or he might ask, "Once things with Aurora are settled, can I pursue you again?"

Jane would probably call Anthony crazy.

Without much thought, Jane downed the three-quarters full glass of red wine in one gulp.

Jane had always had a fair complexion. The crystalline liquid of the red wine slipped past her lips. When she put down the glass, her lips were moist, making Anthony's gaze darken.

"Continue."

This time, Jane rolled a six.

Unexpectedly, Anthony also rolled a six.

Jane's heart sank with a bad premonition. And she had always been more attuned to bad omens than good ones.

From this round on, Jane lost five or six times in a row.

Glass after glass of red wine poured into Jane's throat.

"Are you trying to get me drunk on purpose?" Jane couldn't help but suspect.

Red wine has a high alcohol content. It's not easy to get drunk at first, but it has a strong aftereffect. Even though Jane could hold her liquor, she had drunk so much pure red wine without any mixers that her face was tinged with a light blush, and even her eyes were glazed with a shimmering light.

Especially now, as Jane sat on the desk with legs crossed and turned to look at Anthony, her posture accentuated her curves beautifully.

Anthony felt his throat dry up but didn't drink the wine.

Jane rolled a five and urged Anthony, "Continue."

"You still want to continue?" Anthony kindly reminded Jane, "Jane, you're getting drunk."

Jane's head was indeed buzzing a bit, but she was still clear-headed, just a bit excited.

Jane leaned towards Anthony, provocatively asking, "Anthony, are you going to be a coward?"

Clearly, Jane misunderstood Anthony.

Anthony glanced down, catching a glimpse of Jane's low neckline and the view inside. After a few seconds, he looked away and rolled the dice.

Jane's taste hadn't changed and she still liked wearing black underneath.

Anthony gave Jane one last reminder. 'If she ignored it, who could she blame?' he thought.

Anthony, feeling justified, continued the game and rolled a one.

Anthony casually looked at the number he rolled. He heard Jane's delighted voice, a smile flickering in his eyes.

"Why is Ainslee so confident in letting my brother manage the Richardson family? Did they know each other before? But I've never heard of my brother knowing anyone from the Mexica family." Jane had drunk quite a bit. Her mind was clear but her mouth was running off, the words spilling out in a stream.

Anthony didn't argue with Jane, looking into her radiant face, saying, "Jovan Watkins and Ainslee have known each other for a long time since the time you first met me."

"Why didn't I know?"

'It's quite normal for you not to know Jovan's friends,' Anthony thought.
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
