Chapter 456

"Could you call a nurse for me, please? Thank you." Natalie waited for a while, but nobody came.

Oliver's expression turned cold in an instant. "Natalie, did you just say 'thank you' to me?"

"I'm discussing a divorce with you. Wouldn't it be rude not to be polite?" Natalie was always good at provoking people if she wished to.

"I haven't agreed!" Oliver clenched his jaw. "Natalie, as long as I don't agree, you are still my wife!"

Natalie had a frown forming at the corner of her lips, too lazy to argue.

‘Whether he agreed or not, what could she do to him? Or what could he do to her?’ She had already said "thank you." Could she take it back?

"I need to go to the bathroom. I need a nurse to help me." At home, Natalie would have a maid assist her.

"I can do it," Oliver said.

Oliver threw back the blanket and carried Natalie onto the wheelchair, showing her that he could help with this task.

"Oliver! I need to use the bathroom!" Natalie struggled in disbelief.

"What haven't I seen?" Oliver pushed the bathroom door open and carried Natalie next to the toilet. "Hold onto me. If you fall, you’ll be the one who'll suffer."

As he spoke, he started to undo Natalie's pants.

Natalie panicked because he was taking off her pants for her, she pressed down on his hands as she almost lost her balance moving frantically.

Oliver quickly freed his hands to steady her, and a cold sweat went down his back, "Natalie, can't you hear me? Why are you fussing? Do you not want your legs anymore?"

She chose not to have the surgery for her dream, and he indulged her. She tried to bathe and ended up falling, and he bore with it.

‘Why does she persistently disobey time and time again? Can’t she just behave, and recuperate properly?’ Oliver thought of how stubborn she was.

"Get out! I don't need you." Natalie straightened her clothes and pointed toward the bathroom door.

"Natalie, why are you being so stubborn? What's there to be awkward about?" Oliver just didn't understand. Was there something in there he hadn't seen that she didn't allow him to stay?

"Get out!"

"I will not!" Oliver was infuriated and felt his temples throbbing. "I refuse to believe you won't take care of this today."

‘Scoundrel! Rascal!’ Natalie cursed him a hundred times over in her mind, flipped down the toilet seat, and sat on it. ‘If you don't leave, I just won't do it!’

These past few days, Natalie had been controlling her water intake, trying not to trouble anyone, but today she had an IV drip, and it was truly hard to hold back.

About ten minutes passed.

Oliver sighed and decided to compromise. "I'll help you undress and then leave as soon as you're seated on the toilet, is that all right?"

If it weren't for her overburdened bladder and the upcoming examination, Natalie would never have agreed.

"Call me when you're done," Oliver closed the bathroom door and leaned against the doorframe, waiting until he heard the flushing sound.

He rushed in, and Natalie, almost finished dressing, stood on one foot, the other in its plaster cast gently resting on the floor.

Relieved that no accident had happened to her, Oliver couldn't help but reprimand her. "Natalie, what was stopping you from calling me to help you? Would you have been happy if you had fallen?"

Natalie looked at him without a trace of emotion, her eyes seemingly saying, "What's it to you whether I'm happy or not?"

The rest of the checkups didn't require Oliver's presence; Rosy had ensured Natalie’s safety ahead of time, and they went on uninterrupted with the professional medical staff in attendance.

"Has Natalie used the restroom? Usually, after an IV, there's an urgent need," Rosy politely suggested to Oliver in her office while she reviewed a report written by her intern.

"She has," Oliver said.

"Who accompanied her? Did she go by herself?" Rosy asked anxiously.

Oliver looked at her as if she were a fool, "Me."

Rosy almost applauded right there and then, and said, "Mr. Windsor proactively performed such tasks. Unbelievable! What a revelation!"

Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
