Chapter 960 Mr. Clark's Skills Excel In This World

Jane wondered if she was having a streak of bad luck lately, with one misfortune following another. She was not given time to catch her breath.

Jane glanced at Anthony for a few seconds, then turned to the servant nearby and said, "Your Mrs. Clark is crying again."

The servant, who was still in shock from hearing that Mr. Clark was discussing sexual issues with his ex-girlfriend, was startled and quickly divided the tasks. Two went to the rooftop garden to find Aurora, and one went to get Aurora's family doctor.

"My skills are just average?" Anthony asked.

Jane started walking downstairs. Anthony followed her unhurriedly, not willing to let go of this question that concerned a man's dignity.

"Shouldn't you be more concerned about your fiancée and your future child?" Jane continued down the stairs without stopping, not wanting to discuss any sexual issues with Anthony.

"Anthony, your memory isn't that great." Jane gave Anthony a disdainful look at him and then showed a complete unwillingness to communicate.

With his tall stature and long legs, Anthony took a step forward, stretched out his arm, and blocked Jane's path.

"Mr. Clark, does the Clark Group go bankrupt? Why are you staying at home all day?" Jane asked impatiently.

Anthony had originally left for a meeting at the company but turned back halfway when he heard from Sadie that Aurora had called Jane over. Worried that something might happen, he immediately had the driver turn around.

He wasn't worried about something happening to Aurora, but he was anxious that Jane might suffer.

Anthony raised an eyebrow, wanting Jane to explain what she meant by ‘not interested in having sex with him’.

How had Jane never noticed before that Anthony could be so persistent about such a thing?

Well, no man would be indifferent to this.

"Anyway, I just think your skills are average. If you don't agree, you can go discuss it with your fiancée. She'll think your skills are great!" Jane mocked.

Anthony sincerely reminded Jane, "Jane, have you forgotten that the last time you said my skills were average, you couldn't get out of bed for two days?"

Anthony really didn’t know how to communicate with women.

Jane was relieved that there was no one else around, so she wouldn't be accused of seducing a married man again.

"Isn't the main point your fiancée?" Jane thought Anthony's mind was always bizarrely off-track.

Anthony answered, "No."

‘Aurora won’t be my fiancée for long, so there is no need for her to be the main point,’ Anthony thought.

They really had different minds.

Jane didn't want to talk to someone who was out of mind, so she tried to push Anthony away and leave. Suddenly, she realized that her little strength was probably nothing to Anthony, completely ineffective.

Jane bent down and slipped under Anthony's arm.

Anthony was momentarily stunned, not expecting Jane, who was in her twenties, to still act like she did in middle school.

Jane hadn't taken more than two steps when Anthony grabbed her by the hood of her jacket, nearly choking her.

"Anthony, what's wrong with you!" Jane couldn't take it anymore.

Anthony was very patient when it came to principles, watching Jane with interest without saying a word.

Jane had a gut feeling that if she said one more word about his average skills, she would be carried straight to the bed by Anthony.

"Your skills are the greatest in the world!" Jane complimented with a blank expression."Mr. Clark, can you let go of me now?"

Although she had conceded to Anthony, Jane comforted herself that she wasn't lying.

Objectively speaking, Anthony's skills were indeed very good.

Only then was Anthony satisfied. Instead of letting her go as Jane had expected, he grabbed her arm and gently pulled her back.

Jane fell into a familiar chest suddenly.

"And another thing, stop mentioning Aurora as my fiancée," Anthony whispered to Jane in a voice that only the two of them could hear. "I've told you that she won't be my wife in the future."

"But she is now," Jane retorted, unwilling to back down.

No matter what Anthony's plans were, Aurora was his fiancée now.

Jane sarcastically asked, "Anthony, if a married man is planning a divorce, his sleeping with another woman isn’t cheating? If that's the case, then all men have a legitimate reason to claim they didn't cheat."

The argument with Jane had drained a lot of Aurora's energy.

Aurora had spent the previous night thinking and rehearsing what she would say when confronting Jane. As the victim, standing on the moral high ground, Aurora thought she could make Jane speechless and ashamed of her actions that had disrupted her relationship with Anthony.

But she couldn't.

Aurora didn't say a single word of what she had prepared!

It seemed that no matter how many times she faced Jane, Aurora was always the one who lost.

Aurora endured the slight discomfort from her pregnant belly and instructed the servant to push her back to her room, calling the doctor for a check-up.

Although Jane was infuriated, she had a point that her most important task now was to ensure the safe birth of her child.

Just as she thought of this, Aurora suddenly heard Anthony and Jane's conversation not far away.

"Your skills really excels in this world!"

"Jane, have you forgotten that the last time you said my skills were average, you couldn't get out of bed for two days?"

"Your skills are the greatest in the world!"

Aurora turned pale, and her hand on her pregnant belly clenched the fabric of her dress.

Aurora felt that Jane, who had been so self-righteous and disdainful in front of her ten minutes ago, was now flirting the moment she turned around.

Aurora felt as if a cold and hard slap had landed on her face, embarrassing her.

Jane guessed that her words about protecting Aurora’s baby had an effect. For two days straight, Aurora didn't bother her and focused on nurturing her pregnancy, listening to music, and reading books.

Jane finished the post-production of her photography work and saved it.

However, since Jane was there to keep Aurora company, even if Aurora ignored her, Jane was still mostly around Aurora.

Jane realized that the reason she was coerced into staying at the Clark family might not just be because of Ann who wanted to humiliate her by making her serve Aurora. Aurora might also be involved.

Aurora was worried that Jane and Anthony might rekindle their old flame, so she kept Jane under her watchful eye to feel more at ease.

"Ms. Watkins, a few friends will be coming over tomorrow," Aurora suddenly said to Jane after dinner.

Jane gave Aurora a puzzled look, thinking, ‘Your friends coming over has nothing to do with me.’

"Do you want me to help entertain them?" Jane asked politely, though she originally wanted to talk in a roundabout way.

"The Clark family has servants, so you don't need to entertain them," Aurora said. "But you know the people coming, Shirley and Joe."

Jane who was previously mild and indifferent instantly turned cold.

Shirley and Joe were old acquaintances of Jane.

But unfortunately, both Shirley and Joe had some grudges with Jane.

Well, they had fought once or twice in their youth and had exchanged insults several times.

Fighting and insulting each other was common in their youth, but Shirley had never won an argument against Jane. Besides, Joe had never won a fight against Jane.
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
