Chapter 611 Natalie is too intimidating!

Feeling guilty, Lucas had a habit of touching his nose, "But did my disapproval amount to anything? Yours likely won't either."

He muttered the last part under his breath, obviously embarrassed.

"So, the reason?" Oliver seemed to grasp something, suspecting that Lucas wouldn't have made such a decision out of the blue—there must have been a catalyst or a driving force.

What was that driving force?

Facing Oliver, his soon-to-be cousin, Lucas confessed, "Lilian and I... we did it."

"??"

For the first time, a look of shock crossed Oliver's face in the presence of others.

After a moment of astonishment, the indifference in his eyes was gradually overshadowed by a stormy gloom.

A few scattered patrons sat in the café, and a handful of bartenders manned the bar.

A loud 'clang!' suddenly echoed through the café, making everyone jump.
Oliver suddenly stood up, quickly stepped around the table, and threw a punch at Lucas.

He had been professionally trained in combat sports and maintained regular workouts; he was strong. Even though he pulled his punch at the last moment, it still landed with significant force on Lucas's face.

The young man's head snapped to the side, and he only steadied himself when Oliver grabbed his collar.

"Is someone actually hitting someone else?" a guest exclaimed, standing up alarmed.

"That guy... looks like Oliver, right? I heard there's like a bunch of trust-fund kids staying at the hotel today."

Some people wanted to see what was going on but were too scared to get any closer.

Those who knew Oliver and Lucas's background just exchanged worried glances, unsure of how to react.

"Are you still fighting?" Despite being punched, Lucas wasn't angry. He touched his mouth, relieved to find no injury. "If I was hurt, I'd have a tough time explaining it to my sister and Lilian."

Oliver, with a gaze as cold as ice, kept tightening his grip on Lucas's collar. His eyes were stormy with barely contained fury.

A hush fell over the crowd around Oliver; everyone too intimidated to even breathe. In contrast, Lucas seemed at ease under Mr. Windsor's firm grasp.

"I actually thought my sister would hit me," Lucas said. "I was worried she'd want to but couldn't go through with it."

Oliver scoffed. "I guess I fit the role of the bad guy perfectly."

"You're not a bad guy. If you were indifferent, I'd actually be concerned about my sister’s judgment."

Deep down, Lucas felt he deserved the punch; after all, he had been with Lilian under questionable circumstances, without proper protection.

At least in this regard, Oliver acted more like a man; he was, after all, married to Lucas's sister. As for Lucas and Lilian's relationship at that time...it barely counted as anything.

Although such loose behavior was common in modern society, Lucas held rather traditional views, influenced by Natalie, and always took great care to respect women.

Oliver let go of Lucas, grinding his molars in frustration and looking away.

He was thoroughly displeased.

Lucas rolled his tongue against his cheek, sensing the mild pain from the punch. He knew Oliver held back, probably because of his sister.

By not severely hurting him, Oliver had shown some acceptance.

"I've got some leads on the bone marrow match; I'll contact you when I find something," Oliver stated, taking a sip of his drink to cool off. "But with your current reputation, you'd hardly be welcome through the Norton family's doors."
As a core member of the Wells Organization, Lucas had the clout to match Lilian, but his ties to the shadowy collective were unknown to the public. If Lilian were to pursue a relationship with Lucas, without any strategic advantage, her family would vehemently oppose the marriage.

Lucas's eyes shimmered for a moment—finding a suitable bone marrow donor... having a healthy body was what he yearned for the most.

The fact that Oliver still paid attention to such things hadn't crossed his mind.

"Thanks," said Lucas to Oliver.

Oliver let out a faint 'huh,' offered no further explanation, and left the coffee shop without another word.

Lucas knew that Oliver’s single 'huh' meant all his actions were for Natalie.

After Oliver and Lucas had left, Natalie caught up with Casey to discuss the information she’d gathered over the past few days.

When the conversation ended, Natalie walked Casey to the elevator. As she turned around, she saw Susan and Sharon.

Raising her eyebrows slightly, Natalie asked with a faint smile, "What’s the matter, no longer avoiding confrontations?"

Sharon and Susan exchanged glances.

"I don't understand what you're saying," Sharon remarked.

But Natalie was too tired to engage in a word battle with Sharon and strode off quickly, every step exuding a powerful presence.

Sharon, a professional model by trade, instinctively watched Natalie's stride, style, and aura. She was taken aback to find that Natalie seemed even more charismatic and formidable with each step than before her leg had fully healed.

Before Sharon could react, she was violently shoved aside, and a sharp scream rang in her ears.

Natalie had grabbed Susan by the hair and slammed her head against the wall, holding her firmly in place.

Susan, shorter than Natalie, felt her head spinning from the impact, struggling in vain to free herself.

Natalie had never been much of a fighter, but fueled by the pain Susan had inflicted upon her prior, she spent her recovery time not only on physical therapy but also on basic combat training. Teaching Susan a lesson was now child’s play to her.

"Natalie!" Susan screamed, catching a glimpse of Sharon from the corner of her eye. "Sharon, get her off me, quick!"

Sharon had seen women fight before, usually just hair-pulling and shrieking. It was nothing compared to Natalie's fierce approach of smashing someone’s head against a wall. Terrified, Sharon’s legs gave out, and she collapsed to the floor.
"Susan, you had the audacity to mess with my brother and drag Lilian into this?" Natalie towered over Susan, looking down on her disdainfully.

"What are you talking about? I don't understand!" Susan stammered.

"I don't care if you understand or not," Natalie scoffed, her fingers digging into Susan's skin, her nails piercing flesh.

Susan let out a piercing scream that reverberated through the hallway, ghostly and unnerving.

To Sharon, it sounded like a wailing specter.

It was terrifying—Natalie was terrifying!

"It's illegal to assault someone in public, Natalie!" Susan hated how powerless she felt and scorned Sharon for being useless.

"Against the law?" Natalie said with a laugh. "Ever heard of the case where a medical student stabbed her cheating ex-boyfriend over twenty times, not fatally, and only got off with a misdemeanor?"

"What... what do you want to do?" Susan's face turned ghostly pale.

Natalie thought about what this woman had done to her, to Lucas, to her cherished friends, and without restraint, she grabbed Susan's hair and slammed her head against the wall.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Three times!

Susan's screams of agony filled the air, her scalp numb, temples throbbing wildly.
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
