Chapter 1110 Retaliating with the Same Tactics

"Yeah," Ann admitted, feeling guilty and trying to figure out how to explain.

Back then, she didn't think much—just worried Aurora might be in danger!

"Since Mrs. Clark and Aurora are close, why not invite her over tomorrow?" Jane suggested.

Everyone in the room, including Anthony and Ann, was shocked. Even the servants stared at Jane.

Everyone knew Jane and Aurora didn't get along. Why would she suddenly invite Aurora?

Anthony sensed something was off and frowned, ready to refuse. "Jane..."

"Is that not okay?" Jane cut him off. "I have something to discuss with Aurora."

Her expression seemed to say, "Can't I even talk to someone now?"

"Alright," Anthony finally agreed, pulling Sadie aside to instruct her to keep an eye on Aurora tomorrow to make sure she didn't harm Jane.

Ann was the happiest when Jane invited Aurora.

"Jane should've done this sooner. There was never any real grudge between her and Aurora, so why make things so ugly?" Ann said happily to Sadie. "Because of Jane, I didn't even dare to invite Aurora to the main house."

Sadie listened quietly, head down.

She didn't believe there was no grudge between Jane and Aurora. The things Aurora did during her pregnancy at the Clark Manor were enough to disgust her. If she were Jane, she might have held a grudge for ten years.

The next day, Aurora showed up as planned.

She was surprised Sadie invited her to the Clark Manor since Ann had always tactfully refused her previous requests to visit.

Stepping into the main house again, did it mean her status in Ann's heart was back to what it used to be?

Aurora was thrilled and handed the prepared gift to a servant. She exchanged a few pleasantries with Ann, which made Ann beam with joy.

"By the way, Ann, why did you invite me today?" Aurora asked.

Before Ann could answer, Jane's voice came from the second-floor balcony. "I invited you."

Aurora's face changed slightly. She had always wanted to enter the Clark Manor, partly to spy on Jane's pregnancy and partly to annoy Jane.

She never expected Jane to invite her, and Jane's pregnancy was going exceptionally well.

Her skin was smooth, her figure still intact, with only a slight bulge in her belly. She looked softer, more charming, and even more beautiful than before.

Aurora remembered how awful she looked during her pregnancy, so much so that she didn't even want to look at herself.

Ann smiled and explained, "Aurora, I invited you today not only to catch up but also because Jane said she had something to discuss with you."

"What could Ms. Watkins possibly have to discuss with me?" Aurora's tone was sarcastic.

"Something you're interested in," Jane said, deliberately stroking her pregnant belly in front of Aurora, capturing the jealousy and anger in Aurora's eyes.

Jane continued, "But the item is in my room. Please come upstairs, Ms. Dewar."

Aurora instinctively felt something was wrong and refused without thinking. "I don't have a close relationship with Ms. Watkins, so there's nothing worth discussing privately."

"Really?" Jane asked, "Not even something about Anthony?"

Ann looked at Jane in shock.

What was Jane thinking? She was already pregnant with Anthony's child, and now she was bringing up Anthony with Aurora?

Not only Ann but also no one present except Jane herself knew what she was planning.

Since it concerned Anthony, Aurora hesitated for a few seconds, then said, "Alright!"

Sadie immediately got nervous and wanted to follow Aurora upstairs.

"Sadie, I only want to talk to Ms. Dewar alone," Jane said.

The implication was clear: no one else should go up.

Sadie looked troubled, but because of Jane's firm attitude, she eventually gave up and reluctantly reminded, "Ms. Watkins, call us immediately if anything happens."

Aurora noticed Sadie's attitude and snorted coldly.

Worried she might do something to Jane? She wasn't stupid; why would she make a move on Jane in front of so many people?

Aurora had lived with the Clark family for several months and was very familiar with the second floor as if she were at home. She easily found Jane's room.

"This room isn't as good as the one I used to live in," Aurora said, mocking Jane, implying that even though she was pregnant with Anthony's child, Ann didn't treat her as well as she had treated Aurora.

Jane no longer cared about such things and just looked at Aurora coldly, as if watching a clown perform.

"Get to the point!" Aurora really hated Jane's cold and superior demeanor.

"I have nothing to say to you about Anthony, but what I do have to say will definitely interest you," Jane got straight to the point. "The vitamins and calcium tablets I'm taking now were sent by you, right?"

She had no interest in beating Aurora around the bush around.

Aurora's breath caught for a moment, but she quickly calmed down.

It didn't matter if she sent them or not, as long as no one knew there was something wrong with the calcium and vitamin tablets.

To be safe, Aurora had even layered normal vitamins and calcium tablets on top.

She squinted and said, "Yes, so what?"

Jane placed her hand on her pregnant belly and walked step by step towards Aurora, her tone gentle but her words like whispers from hell.

"Then do you think the child in my belly has normal limbs? Normal hearing? Normal intelligence?"

"You!" Aurora's eyes widened in horror, but she quickly forced herself to calm down, "What are you talking about? I don't understand!"

Jane continued to approach Aurora. The door to her room was open, and Aurora retreated as if fleeing in panic, stepping out of the room.

"How could someone pregnant not understand? Aurora, don't you feel guilty for harming a life?" Jane questioned.

Jane shed her gentle facade, her gaze like a sharp sword, slicing Aurora bit by bit.

"Why should I feel guilty? I didn't harm anyone!" Aurora sneered. It wasn't her who made Jane take those tablets; it was Ann!

'If there is any guilt or grudge, find Ann!' she screamed in her mind.

"Do you think you can wash your hands of this?" Jane stood at the top of the stairs, "Aurora, I didn't want to hold a grudge against you, but you wouldn't let me go. You should have known better than to involve my child!"

"Jane, what do you want to do?" Aurora suddenly realized, recalling all the rumors about Jane. None of them ended well for those who crossed Jane!

At this moment, Aurora was a bit panicked.

Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
