Chapter 1098 Anthony, have you ever blamed me?

Ann didn't return until dinner time.

She was accompanied by an employee from the car dealership, who drove a luxury family minivan.

"Yes, just park it here." Ann directed the dealership employee, then turned to the servant and said, "Go get Jane."

Jane was sitting in the living room watching a show.

"Ms. Watkins, Mrs. Clark is back. She wants to see you outside."

As soon as the servant finished speaking, Anthony looked up. "What does my mother want with Jane?"

He was completely on guard, afraid that Ann would make things difficult for Jane.

The servant quickly said, "I don't know, but Mrs. Clark bought a family minivan."

Jane's eyes widened in shock.

Ann actually bought the family minivan she mentioned!

As soon as Jane stepped outside, she saw a large, all-black family van.

"For you." Ann pointed at the van and then said with some disdain, "This is the highest configuration they have in the store. The others need to be custom-made, which takes at least three months—too long! This one isn't perfect, but the windows are bulletproof, which is nice."

Jane thought, 'She doesn't go out much, why does she need a family minivan with bulletproof windows?'

"Not satisfied?" Ann noticed that Jane didn't look pleased at all.

It was really strange. Her friends' pregnant wives were thrilled with family minivans that weren't as good as this one. Why was Jane so ungrateful?

"It's not that, it's just a bit ugly." Jane felt she couldn't understand Ann's thinking.

But it didn't matter if it was ugly since it wasn't her car.

Ann took a closer look and realized it was indeed a bit ugly!

When she bought the car, she only thought about getting the best, most expensive, and safest one, completely forgetting to consider its appearance.

Anthony stood silently on the side, completely clueless about what was happening.

After Jane and Ann went inside, Anthony called Sadie to the study.
"What's up with my mom?" Anthony asked, rubbing his temples.
Sadie replied, "Mrs. Clark saw other people's grandchildren recently and was very envious. Mr. Clark, Mrs. Clark's opinion of Ms. Watkins isn't as strong as it used to be. She just can't get over her own feelings."
Even though Sadie had joined Anthony's side, she couldn't help but speak up for Ann, having served her for many years.
"You're dismissed." Anthony waved his hand.
"Yes." Sadie sighed.
Ann had ultimately hurt Anthony's feelings.
Jane had trouble sleeping in a new bed.
Suddenly, there was a noise by the window, and a tall figure lightly landed on the balcony, opened the sliding door, and walked in uninvited.
"Anthony, were you a thief in your past life? You're so skilled at breaking in," Jane, unable to sleep, was a bit irritable.
Anthony didn't mind her tone at all and sat by her bed. "I'll stay with you until you fall asleep, then I'll leave."
Jane glared at him. "Aren't you afraid your mom will come looking for me?"
"Why should I be afraid?" Anthony crossed his legs and leaned back lazily, "Does she not know how I feel about you, or what we've done?"
Jane was at a loss for words and couldn't continue the conversation.
"I don't need you to stay. Leave." Jane pointed at the door.
Anthony actually stood up. Jane was surprised at how agreeable he was today, but then she heard him say, "Get out of bed."

Jane couldn't believe it. "I told you to leave my room, and you're telling me to get out of bed and not sleep. Do you know you're mistreating a pregnant woman?"

Anthony was both amused and exasperated. 'Jane had really become silly after getting pregnant.'

"Jane, what are you thinking? I'm just asking you to get out of bed, not to stop sleeping." As he spoke, he opened the bag he had brought in, which contained a set of silk bedding.

He explained, "Get out of bed, and I'll change the sheets for you."

Jane preferred silk or cotton-linen bedding, and silk would improve her sleep quality. This set of silk sheets was specially rushed for her by Anthony.

Jane stared at Anthony in a daze, unable to react.

Did he come over in the middle of the night just to change her sheets?

Anthony looked at Jane with helpless affection, then picked her up. Jane yelped in surprise, and before she could react, Anthony had already placed her steadily on the sofa in the room.

"Sit here and wait a moment," Anthony said, then turned to start changing the sheets.

"You're changing them for me?" Jane was so shocked she stuttered.

"Haven't I done it before?" Anthony changed the sheets quickly, with the same efficiency he applied to everything.

Jane guiltily touched her nose.

He had indeed changed her sheets before, and not just once.

Back when they were young, she had insisted on Anthony changing her sheets just to have more contact with him.

At that time, Anthony was only in his early twenties. Before coming to the Watkins family, he had been taken care of by servants and didn't know how to change sheets. But Jane had insisted he learn.
In less than ten minutes, Anthony had finished changing the sheets and tucked Jane back into bed.
Feeling guilty, Jane only exposed her eyes from under the covers.
She watched Anthony sit by the bed and couldn't help but ask, "Anthony, have you ever blamed me?"
"For what?" He was a bit confused.
"For how I used to bully you and be so difficult." Thinking back, Jane felt she had been very unreasonable back then.
Anthony chuckled, stood up, placed his hands on either side of Jane's pillow, and kissed her on the lips.
It was a kiss without any desire, just pure affection.
"No, I don't blame you." Anthony thought, 'Baby, you have no idea how thrilled I was by your special attention back then.'
Because the Clark family was large and complex, it was hard to keep the news of someone new moving into the Clark Manor a secret. Besides, Ann didn't intend to hide it.
At Enrique's villa in the Clark family.
"Mrs. Clark, Mr. Clark won't be coming home for dinner tonight. He asked you to eat by yourself," the servant said after taking a phone call.
Aurora's face darkened, instantly scaring her son, who was watching her.
The child immediately started crying, his sharp wails piercing Aurora's ears.

"All you do is cry! Can you cry your father back? Huh! You've ruined my life!"
Aurora raised her hand to hit the baby, but the servant quickly shielded the child, taking the blow on her back and letting out a muffled groan of pain.
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
