Chapter 237 Oliver's Upturned Corner of the Mouth

In all the years Arvin had served Oliver, he had never witnessed Oliver display any vulnerabilities.

Natalie possessed delicate features and flawless skin, requiring minimal makeup. Arvin simply accentuated her features slightly and paired it with a dress in a complementary color .

Having concluded his phone call, Oliver returned just in time to find Natalie fully prepared.

It was an enchanting gown, and Natalie looked like a beauty stepping out of a painting, It was breathtaking. With only a silver diamond-studded ribbon as a hair accessory, she exuded beauty and elegance.

Oliver’s gaze lingered on Natalie for moment before casually nodding, “Let’s go.”

Arvin suppressed a smile. He knew Mr. Windsor would be very pleased! For other women, receiving even half a glance from Mr. Windsor would be considered sufficient!

At the same time, Natalie discreetly observed Oliver.

He was dressed in a black suit today, and upon close inspection, one could see subtle prints on it. The meticulously designed patterns added an air of luxury, detailed to perfection.

If there was anything inappropriate, it was probably his cufflinks.

Natalie had given him that pair of cufflinks. The color and style of these cufflinks mismatched Oliver’s outfit. Yet, he still wore them.

Natalie’s heart skipped a beat as she said, “After the party, I will get you a better pair of cufflinks, okay?”

Oliver looked at her and said, “Finally grew a conscience after buying cars and houses for Lilian?”

“Why do you always speak in such an unpleasant manner? I don’t want to give them to you anymore!” Natalie thought.

Today, the Windsor family mansion buzzed with activity. Henry had extended invitations to numerous individuals from diverse circles, resulting in a continuous influx of guests outside.

“Mr. Windsor, Natalie, over here, please!” The servant respectfully opened the car door. Oliver and Natalie got out of the car, immediately drawing everyone’s attention.

Natalie had some concerns. Despite her attire not being overly vibrant, the blue dress drew attention with its well-coordinated color scheme. Furthermore, after meticulous pairing, the dress appeared even more captivating. The female guests looked at her with envy.

Several guests came to greet Oliver. However, due to his intimidating appearance, the guests didn’t dare to get too close and instead went to wish him well.

Among the Windsor family members, Oliver was the last to arrive. Henry, Victoria, and Edwin were already busy greeting the guests.

When they saw Oliver and Natalie, they were all surprised. They had thought that the eccentric Oliver wouldn’t come, but unexpectedly, he showed up, and with Natalie.

A few people felt somewhat uncomfortable upon seeing them, as it seemed like it was bad news whenever Oliver was around!

“So, the little brother came too!” Edwin maintained his gentle smile, but sharpness and gloominess hid behind his thin glasses. Although these words seemed like a simple greeting, the word “too” implied just how disrespectful and arrogant Oliver usually was toward their father.

Victoria feigned a smile but didn’t bother to uphold a friendly I with Oliver. He had caused her significant distress and stirred up a commotion at her son’s engagement party.

Later, through an investigation, she found out that Oliver was likely responsible for the scandalous video that circulated during the engagement party. What she didn’t expect was that the person she sent to “deal with” Oliver ended up being caught by him instead!

Victoria realized that she had underestimated her younger brother. She wasn’t sure if Oliver had discovered her involvement in the assassination plot.

Oliver scanned Edwin indifferently, then glanced past Victoria before finally fixing his gaze on Henry. “Father, happy birthday,” Oliver stated in a monotone.

Henry’s tense expression finally relaxed. Just moments ago, he was contemplating how he would handle this individual relaxed. Just moments ago, he was contemplating how he would handle this individual if he lost face in front of so many people. “Happy birthday to you!” Natalie also politely added a sentence.

The tense atmosphere seemed to dissipate instantly, and the guests began talking and restoring a joyful scene. Henry looked at Oliver, who was looking back at him, with some confusion.

Why was this prodigal son here? Why was he being so nice? Could it be that he needed something from him? Or was he trying to gain a little more status in the Windsor family? If that’s the case, he must take this opportunity to teach this darn son a lesson!

Oliver didn’t stay in the hall for long and went straight to his bedroom on the second floor with Natalie. The room was spotless and clean. It looked the same as when he last came. Not a single thing was out of place. Even the placement of the bedside lamp hadn’t been moved an inch.

“Books are over there.” Oliver pointed to the direction of the study, indicating that Natalie could move freely there, and there was a spare computer in the study for her to use.

Oliver himself walked to the balcony, basking in the sun while looking at documents. Natalie didn’t feel like reading, so she walked around the room and ended up on the balcony.

Inadvertently, she saw a few words written on Oliver’s document: “Equity Acquisition.” It was about the Windsor Group proposing to acquire shares of the pharmaceutical sector of the RK Group.

“Want to take a look?” Oliver handed Natalie the letter of intent sent by his subordinate.

“Huh?” Natalie was a bit unsure. “But I don’t understand business.”

“Just take a look,” Oliver said.

Natalie remembered that the Harrington family used to dominate the domestic pharmaceutical market. After the scandal at the small island party, she also heard Jane talk about the Harrington family being acquired. She just didn’t expect that the person acquiring it would be Oliver.

The Windsor Group now aimed to reclaim the pharmaceutical market segment that Oliver had acquired, asserting that this market share was originally taken from the Harrington family while the Watson Group was entangled in public scrutiny.

Furthermore, the Windsor Group was employing the “family card” strategy, attempting to obtain shares from the RK Group at a price lower than the market value.

Who was the fool here?

“What do you think of it?” Oliver saw Natalie frown. She must have understood something.

“Not worth it.” Natalie shook her head.

Oliver listened intently as Natalie spoke, her words flowing smoothly. “The pharmaceutical industry itself is extremely profitable. The full stake you acquired from Watson Group contains many valuable authoritative patents.”

"These patents are lucrative investments, generating continuous wealth. If I recall correctly, the Windsor Group has also ventured into the pharmaceutical industry, but their market share and customer trust cannot compare to the ones acquired from Watson Group.”

"If Windsor Group were to obtain these shares, it would result in market consolidation, creating regional monopolies and significantly multiplying profits."

After a few seconds of silence, Oliver's appreciation became evident as a subtle smirk formed on his lips.
