Chapter 247 Oliver Exonerated

Sophia contemplated, ‘If Oliver faces ruin, wouldn't it be wiser for you to turn to my master? He is handsome, accomplished, influential, and values you like a precious gem. He surpasses Oliver in many aspects!’

Natalie said, "I'll make a phone call."

But she couldn't even contact Isaac and Wyatt!

Sophia discreetly observed Natalie's expression and felt immense joy in her heart. They were not answering her calls! That meant only her master was left!

"Think about whether you have any friends you can contact. Ideally, someone influential and powerful. Only such individuals can be of help at times like this," Sophia calmly suggested, secretly hoping her master would come to mind.

Roger did cross Natalie’s mind.

Roger was capable and resourceful, but to be precise, she had only crossed paths a few times. They were acquaintances, but every encounter felt like a matter of life and death.

However, at that moment, she couldn't think of anyone better than Roger.

She dialled his number, and thankfully, it wasn't the endless sound of ringing anymore.

"Hello, Natalie?" Roger answered quickly.

Sophia, with astonishing hearing, widened her eyes in disbelief. How could her master speak so gently? Wasn't he the type to freeze or scare people with his words?

"Mr. Wild, I… I was wondering if I could ask for your help. Is that alright?" Natalie didn't wait for his response and added, "If it's not convenient, it's fine."

Roger's laughter came through the receiver, low and soothing. "Natalie, when you need someone's help, you shouldn't give them a chance to refuse. Why are you already giving yourself an out?"

Natalie was momentarily stunned, silently biting her lip.

This person always knew how to be a great friend to her.

"Is it about Mr. Windsor?" Roger had been waiting for Natalie's call for a long time. He hoped she would reach out to him for help, but he also felt it was unlikely. It’s because his little princess was always so polite.

By seeking his help, it implied she had taken the initiative to bring them closer, and their relationship suggested that she had no one to turn to. Thinking of this, Roger felt sorry for Natalie, desiring to retrieve Oliver from jail and give him a beating.

"Yeah, you're right," Natalie said with difficulty. "Mr. Wild, Oliver's situation is not easy to handle. If you help me, it means going against the Windsor family, and you..."

"Natalie, the Windsor family led by Henry has no influence over me," Roger interrupted. "I'll help you."

Natalie thought, 'What does "the Windsor family led by Henry" mean?' Every word in this sentence sounded appealing, but Natalie felt that she didn't quite understand the meaning behind it.

She quickly refocused her thoughts. "Mr. Wild, I want to go and see Oliver first. Can you arrange it for me?"

"No problem," Roger said.

Natalie couldn't be at ease about Lilian and p decided to arrange someone to look after her, to ensuring her safety.

Her most trusted friend was undoubtedly Jane, but Jane had a heavy workload and was involved in photography activities. Natalie didn't want to burden her further, also considering Jane's temperament in relation to Lilian.

If Jane heard Lilian saying something like "Natalie is not worthy of my cousin," she would make Lilian cry without a doubt!

In the end, Natalie decided to ask her younger brother, Lucas.

Lucas was devoted to his studies, and the only person he cared about was Natalie. Since the organization had no knowledge of Oliver and Natalie's relationship, they didn't inform Lucas about what happened to Oliver.

It wasn't until Natalie briefly explained the whole incident that Lucas knew about Oliver's situation.

"Oliver is useless, causing you all this worry!" Lucas expressed his disappointment.

Originally, he wanted to say, "Sis, this kind of man doesn't deserve you. Divorce him as soon as possible!" However, Natalie's current actions clearly showed that she couldn't let go of Oliver, so Lucas had to hold back that sentence.

In his mind, he once again gave his brother-in-law a negative score.

"Lucas, I called you because I wanted to ask for your help," Natalie said.

"What? To help Oliver clear his name?" Lucas's mind quickly recalled his connections and abilities, trying to come up with a solution.

"No, it's not that. I want to ask you to help take care of a girl who is around your age. You should have common topics to talk about," Natalie explained.

Lucas's rapidly spinning mind came to a halt. "Who is she?"

"Her name is Lilian, Oliver's cousin. I've sent you her information. Can you look out for her? I'm concerned that something might happen to her." Natalie provided Lucas with detailed information about Lilian.

Still worried, she added, "Also, no matter what offensive things she says, don't take it to heart, and don't badmouth Oliver in front of her. The girl would get angry. Lucas, thank you for doing this!"

Deal with the troublesome cousin? Lucas outright declined in his mind.

But then his sister's final six words silenced all his objections; she trusted him, and he couldn't let her down.

"Fine," Lucas reluctantly agreed, "If you need my help with... your husband, remember to reach out to me. I have some powerful friends."

"Alright," Natalie immediately agreed.

Lucas pouted, always feeling that his sister was just appeasing him.

Natalie first went back to the villa to prepare some food, then headed to the police station with Lucas.

This time, with Roger's prior arrangement, Natalie smoothly met Oliver.

After spending a night inside the detention center, Oliver seemed completely unchanged, still dressed impeccably in a suit with perfectly styled hair.

He sat on a simple chair with movements casual as if he was sitting in his own office chair.

Calm, composed, and elegant, he didn't look like a suspect being targeted by everyone.

Natalie was extremely worried, and yet he acted as if he was playing here! She couldn't hold back her anger.

She placed the thermal lunchbox on the table, not pushing it toward him or uncovering it, and said, "I won't give you anything to eat!"

"Mrs. Windsor, are you trying to starve me again?" Oliver arched an eyebrow, quite content with Natalie's gesture of cooking for him during the visit.

"I see that you couldn't care less about your own life!" Natalie gritted her teeth. "Where's your lawyer?"

"I didn't hire one." Oliver glanced at the guard on duty outside and casually asked, "Who helped you get in?"

"I won't tell you!" Natalie said angrily.

'Keeping it a secret, huh? Fine.' Oliver speculated internally, ‘It was likely Isaac or Wyatt.’
