Chapter 273 Bro, Someone Wants to Seduce Your Wife!

It was not difficult to infer that Oliver's indifferent response made Lilian unhappy.

Lilian said with a huff, “I’m telling you, someone is pursuing your wife! If you continue to act this way, she’ll definitely leave you for another man!”

Natalie attempted to stop Lilian from mentioning Roger, but her efforts were in vain. She massaged her temples, feeling helpless.

Sophia looked at Lilian frostily as she thought to herself, ‘This young girl must be Oliver’s spy! So what if Roger sent flowers to Natalie? She clearly likes them!’

Due to a slight detour, Lilian was the first to be dropped off. It was also at this moment that Natalie spotted a familiar Rolls-Royce parked ahead.

Charles emerged from the vehicle and gestured to Natalie.

As Lilian passed by the Rolls-Royce, Charles did not say anything to her, clearly indicating that he was here for Natalie.

"Sir sent me to pick you up. Please come with me,” Charles said after opening the car door for Natalie.

Charles handled things meticulously. He said a few words to Emily, Sophia, and even the driver, thanking them for taking care of Natalie.

Natalie contemplated the inconvenience of returning to Rosewood Estate with the others before she said to the trio, “I’ll take my leave first. Take care.”

After getting out, Natalie asked curiously, “Charles, what are you doing here?”

Charles replied, "I was near Lilian’s apartment. Oliver knows you take care of her like a child; he already expects you to send her home first.”

At times, Oliver's understanding of her was remarkably accurate.

Natalie had assumed Charles was alone. However, when the door of the Rolls-Royce opened, she was greeted by the sight of Oliver, poised and dignified, in the back seat.

Oliver extinguished his cigarette. The length of his cigarette indicated he had been waiting for some time.

‘Why is he here?’

"I thought you were busy today,” Natalie said, surprised. Usually, after coming home from work, Oliver would be ensconced in his study at this time, working. As the chairman of RK Group, his responsibilities were numerous.

"I was busy.”

Upon Natalie's entry into the car, Oliver drew her close, cupped her chin, and murmured, "But my wife was not only bullied, but someone is also trying to pursue her…”

‘I overheard your conversation with Lilian earlier. At that time, it seemed like you didn’t care about this matter,’ Natalie thought to herself.

“I wasn’t bullied. Those things are common in the industry,” Natalie explained, “Moreover, those who only know how to suppress the weak will never achieve greatness. In the future, I’ll stand at a height that they’ll never reach, and they will only be forced to look up at me at that time.”

Initially, Oliver was in a bad mood after hearing that Natalie was bullied. However, he could not help but smile after hearing her words.

Natalie not only possessed the strength and skill but, more importantly, the confidence and bravery to prevail.

"Words aren’t enough. Only through actions can we prove people wrong,” Oliver said.

At this time, Charles asked, “Are we returning to Rosewood Estate?”

“No, drive to the florist.”

There was no need for Oliver to specify which florist, and Charles immediately set off for the best florist in Paykston.

"Why are we going to the florist?" Natalie pondered, puzzled.

Oliver remained silent.

The shop was tucked away in an unassuming alley of Paykston. The wooden structure had been there for a long time. Those with a discerning eye could tell that the wood was the valuable Bubinga.
The shop was very low-key, and only those who were in the know knew about it. The flowers in the shop were of the highest quality and exceedingly rare.

Charles approached the door and knocked.

An elderly man, his eyes hidden behind a pair of spectacles and dressed in an old robe, answered the door.

"Long time no see, old man!" Charles said first.

Grandpa Parker acknowledged Charles with a nod and shifted his gaze toward Oliver. He paused for a moment when he saw Natalie beside Oliver. Then, he asked in a neither welcoming nor hostile tone, “Why are you here?”

Oliver, seemingly used to Grandpa Parker's demeanor, responded, "I came to see your flowers."

Grandpa Parker clicked his tongue dismissively and retorted, "Who said you can see the flowers here? People like you don’t know how to appreciate their beauty! Leave!”

Grandpa Parker’s words were not in jest; he brandished his walking stick, intent on shooing them away.

Confronted by the stick, Oliver stood his ground and said, "My wife wants to see them."

This caused Grandpa Parker to halt his action and look at Natalie. After studying her for a moment, he turned around and said, “Come in.”

Natalie's confusion deepened. She whispered to Oliver, “Does he know me?”

"Now he does," Oliver replied with a smile, holding Natalie’s hand as they walked in.

Charles trailed behind, securing the gate with care.

Upon entering, they were greeted by an array of exotic and rare flowers thriving within the courtyard.

Natalie was shocked, wondering how they were thriving in winter.

Grandpa Parker, now wearing a softer and more amiable expression, asked, “What’s her name? How old is she?”

Olive did not bother to respond.

Instead, Natalie smiled and replied, “I’m Natalie, and I’m 21 years old.”

“How young,” Grandpa Parker said before he looked at Oliver and said disapprovingly, “Brat! How dare you drag such a young girl into the grave of marriage. What a pity!”

Natalie could not help but laugh, amused by Grandpa Parker’s words to Oliver.

“Do you think this is funny?” Oliver asked, playfully pinching her cheek.

Natalie bit her lip, attempting to suppress her laughter.

As Oliver led her forward, she wondered about his and Grandpa Parker’s relationship, wondering how two people with such a huge age gap got to know each other. It was evident that Oliver was no stranger to this place.

The building, though ancient, was equipped with modern conveniences.

Upon opening a door, they discovered a potted plant positioned on a desk, adorned with three large buds about to bloom. The buds, delicate and beautiful, were white with hints of pink on the calyx and looked beautiful under the soft light.

Natalie sensed Oliver's relief as he said, "I knew this treasure would capture your interest."
