Chapter 945 Get Out Yourself!

"Lamborghini?" Anthony glanced sideways. He recalled that Jane did not own a Lamborghini and was not interested in that particular car brand.

“I did some research. It's Debra's car," Clint mentioned, introducing the unfamiliar name. "Debra Foster is the second daughter of the Foster family in the Southwest, Richard's cousin." Clint carefully watched Anthony's expression. As expected, he noticed Anthony's face darken instantly. Richard, wasn't he the future brother-in-law Mr. Watkins had his eye on back then?

Others might not know, but as Anthony's right-hand man, Clint was very aware that not only was Richard himself a taboo, but even the name "Richard Foster" couldn't be mentioned in front of Anthony.

"Where did they go?" Anthony asked, walking towards the parking lot with a stern face.

Anthony's expression was so grim that doctors and nurses who saw him along the way all avoided him.

"Serenity Haven Resort," Clint reported, relaying the information from the people he had sent to follow.

Anthony let out a cold laugh.

Clint hesitated for a moment and then suggested, "Mr. Clark, please don't be upset. It was Debra Foster who picked up Ms. Watkins, not the other person.”

Anthony looked at Clint for two seconds as if Clint were an idiot and then simply said, "Shut up."

Whether it was Debra or Richard, it didn't make much difference.

Jane had no idea she would run into someone she knew after leaving the hospital.

They weren't exactly close acquaintances. Jane had only met Debra twice. The first meeting was a few years ago when Jovan arranged for Jane and Richard to meet for the first time.

Debra was with them, mainly visiting Paykston to explore universities. It seemed the academic environment in the country didn't suit Debra, prompting her to study abroad later on. Their second encounter was at a banquet, where Jane and Debra didn't interact much.

Back then, Jane was a fallen socialite, while Debra was the esteemed Mrs. Foster from the prominent Foster family in the Southwest.

Despite not being particularly close, Jane was aware that Debra, now holding a significant position in the Foster family, had a strong bond with Richard. Debra invited Jane to join her in the car.

Jane initially refused, but she couldn't hail a cab. Debra said, "Ms. Watkins, don't avoid me just because of my brother. When I was studying abroad, Jovan helped me a lot. Let's keep things separate."

Bringing up Jovan made it difficult for Jane to decline. Additionally, Jane didn't want to stand in front of the busy hospital looking unkempt, as passersby might cast curious glances at her. Jane was naturally proud and would never want to become the subject of gossip if she had a choice.

“Where are you planning to go, Ms. Watkins?" Debra noticed Jane's disheveled appearance but chose not to ask about what had happened. Instead, she directly inquired about her destination.

Those who are nosy would ask for details, but those who truly want to assist only inquire about your needs. Jane had searched for the nearest hotel, "Serenity Haven Resort."

Debra was momentarily taken aback but then nodded and steered the car towards Serenity Haven Resort.

Debra's brief hesitation was due to considering whether to remind Jane that one of the major shareholders of Serenity Haven Resort was Anthony.

But then she thought that in this southeastern area, there were few hotels that didn't have to consider Anthony's influence.

"Ms. Watkins, I have spare clothes in the back seat. They're new. If you don't mind, you can wear them."

“Thank you, Mrs. Foster." Jane knew when to be humble. She was no longer the Ms. Watkins from the wealthy Watkins family, who could effortlessly attract brand representatives and seasonal outfits with a simple phone call. Jane had learned to be humble and avoid unnecessary pride, a lesson she had learned through the challenges she faced over the years.

Debra gave a playful smile, "No need to be so formal, Ms. Watkins!"

"Why are you here, Mrs. Foster?" Jane asked casually.

“I'm here for business. My partner had a stomach issue, so I came to check on them. From a distance, I saw a particularly beautiful and elegant lady. Upon closer look, it turned out to be you, Ms. Watkins! So I came over!”

Debra was a year younger than Jane and held a high position in the Foster family.

While waiting at a red light, Debra glanced sideways at Jane and smiled, "Don't worry, Ms. Watkins. I'm not here to spy on you for my brother. He wouldn't do such a thing."

Debra added silently to herself that Richard would only instruct her to secretly take care of Jane .

Jane did suspect that Debra was sent by Richard. It seemed too coincidental for both of them to be in Southvale at the same time, and for Debra to show up just when Jane needed help the most, particularly at a hospital.

But since Debra had said so, even if Jane suspected Richard, she had to outwardly believe Debra's words.

She had to believe that Debra's appearance today was just a coincidence.

Jane was aware that while Jovan had assisted the Foster family in the past, a significant factor in Debra's current assistance was because of Richard. Jane reserved a room with a king-sized bed. Debra accompanied her to the door, exchanged a few pleasantries, and departed without mentioning Richard once more.

"Goodbye, Ms. Watkins. If you need anything, just call me. I'll be in Southvale for the next few days!" Debra said.

Jane thanked her again and thought as she closed the door, ‘ I won't be calling you.’

Debra made her way to the hotel lobby, prepared to call Richard and inform him of the situation. She intended to paint a grim picture of Jane's condition to emphasize the urgency of the matter. As she glanced up, she noticed Anthony entering the lobby, dressed in a trench coat. Walking beside him was a tall man with a buzz cut named Clint.

Anthony almost immediately sensed that someone was looking at him.

He turned and met Debra's gaze.

"Boss, that's Debra Foster," Clint whispered to Anthony.

Anthony stopped in his tracks, standing still, looking at Debra with a cold, authoritative expression.

"Mr. Clark, what a coincidence!" Debra said. As if nothing had happened and as if she had just coincidentally met Anthony.

Anthony wasn't buying it, "Where is Jane?"

Are you talking about Ms. Watkins?" Debra pretended to be confused. "How would I know? Although my brother is fond of her, she's not my sister-in-law yet. But we are putting in effort to make her my brother's wife, the mistress of the Foster family.

It was undoubtedly a jab at Anthony.

Since Anthony's fiancée was Aurora, his future wife and the prospective mistress of the Clark family would also be Aurora. Debra's mockery made it evident that Anthony was involved with Jane but couldn't grant her any status or the respect she deserved, unlike the Foster family.

Anthony, who could give nothing, should get out!
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
