Chapter 792 Inspection

The pottery firing time varied from one hour to three days, depending on the type, but most took more than half a day.

Natalie could not wait that long. She chose two mugs that the boss had already pre-made and asked him for a brush and the best paint.

"Natalie, are you going to paint them yourself?" Casey asked in surprise.

Natalie nodded. As she contemplated what to paint, she said, "I originally wanted to make them myself, but there's not enough time. I can only do the finishing touches."

Natalie painted a classical landscape, which was both original and exquisite.

"You're really good!"

The boss watched her paint with great interest.

Natalie smiled.

"Oh, you look familiar!" the boss suddenly said, carefully examining Natalie.

Natalie's painting paused for a moment, then she calmly said, "It seems like it's been a while since someone painted in your shop."

"You have a point. If such a beautiful lady had been to my shop, I would definitely remember."

Casey, who was watching the whole scene, could not help but give Natalie a thumbs-up for her calmness. She also did not expect Natalie could draw such extraordinary paintings.

Natalie had taught herself painting before. Later, Jovan hired a painting teacher for Jane, and Natalie often attended the classes as well. Perhaps because of her talent, her painting skills were not inferior to some professional artists.

Later, Natalie learned that Jane originally studied sketching, but she knew Natalie was interested in oil painting, so she specifically changed the curriculum to oil painting.

In a sense, that teacher was hired for Natalie.

Although she had faced many hardships since childhood, Natalie did not feel that fate was unfair. If fate was truly unfair, she would not have met the amazing Jane and Jovan.

"Can I take a photo? I'll put it up in my shop. It's our tradition," the boss took out a camera and politely asked Natalie.

Natalie nodded.

After the glazing process, Natalie asked the boss to pack it up, and then she left the shop, satisfied with the gifts.

The middle-aged boss carefully examined the developed photo, thinking that Natalie painted really well. She was no worse than him, a professional!

Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind!

'Wait a minute! Isn’t she that model, Natalie?'

The boss hailed from Yuuis. He went online and, after some searching, confirmed that the earlier customer was indeed the female model, Natalie.

After browsing for a bit, he discovered that Natalie had just announced her relationship the previous day.

'Could the mugs she painted be a symbol of their love?'

During the intermission of the RisingKing Group shareholders' meeting, there was a twenty-minute break.

Jamie approached Oliver excitedly, his phone in hand, and whispered, "Sir, look!"

The phone displayed a photo of a pair of mugs, adorned with classical paintings, full of charm.

Oliver's gaze lingered on the serene profile of the woman in the photo.

"According to the owner of the shop, Natalie went there this morning. It looks like a couple's item. The owner guessed that the mugs must have been a gift for a loved one," Jamie said meaningfully.

Oliver remained silent, but Jamie could tell Oliver's mood had improved.

"Where's Natalie now?"

"The bodyguard reported ten minutes ago that she just had lunch with Casey and is now resting."

Although Oliver had agreed to let Natalie go shopping, he was concerned about her being alone with only Casey, so he had discreetly arranged for two bodyguards to follow her.

"Is she feeling well?" Oliver inquired, concerned about Natalie's morning sickness.

"The bodyguard mentioned her appetite is fine, but it seems they'll continue shopping in the afternoon."

Oliver glanced at his watch; it was only eleven o'clock.

She had already eaten lunch at eleven, so she did not plan on having lunch with him.

Just as Oliver was processing this, he received a text message from Natalie.

Natalie: [Oliver, Casey and I have already eaten. We're going to walk around more. Have lunch by yourself. I'll come back later!]

Oliver, who had been in a good mood just a second ago, now had a stiff expression on his face.

The shareholders, engaged in their conversations, quickly sensed the tension and nervously glanced at Oliver.

The entire meeting room gradually quieted down.

"Mr. Windsor, are you particularly dissatisfied with the plan we just presented?" someone gathered the courage to ask.

"After discussing for a whole morning, are you expecting me to be satisfied?" Oliver retorted with a cold expression.

Everyone fell silent. Was it not normal for a major meeting to take a whole morning and not be finished yet?

They felt innocent themselves and did not dare to say anything.

Jamie also pretended to know nothing.

These people were still not clever enough. The shareholders back in the country would have thought of Natalie immediately.

"Casey, there are no shops down this road. Where are we going?" Casey looked at the map on her phone, feeling puzzled.

"The hospital," Natalie said, "But please don't tell Oliver about this, okay?"

"Of course, I'm your employee, not Oliver's."

Natalie did not let Casey come with her. She asked her to wait downstairs.

It was strange to let others know that she went to check if she was pregnant behind her husband’s back, so she decided to do it secretly.

If the test results indicated pregnancy, Casey, being so smart, would have guessed that Oliver was deliberately hiding something. How would she view Oliver then?

After all, Casey used to work for Roger, and she had some reservations about Oliver. Natalie did not want Casey to have any more negative opinions about him.

In the end, no matter what happened, Natalie was still biased toward Oliver.

"Hello, I'd like to register," Natalie said, holding her passport and other documents, "Obstetrics and Gynecology. I'd like to check if I'm pregnant."

The HCG test would provide results in an hour.

While waiting for the results, Natalie sat in the waiting room, watching women coming and going, unconsciously touching her own abdomen.

'What if I'm really pregnant? Should I keep this child?'

To be honest, she was not ready to be a mother yet. Pregnancy was not part of her plan right now.

As Natalie was thinking this, she suddenly saw a weak woman leaning against the wall, walking out.

The two women next to her said, "Oh my goodness, that woman is already three months pregnant. How heartless of her to choose an abortion."

"Yes, the baby at three months is already formed, with all the organs developed. By doing this, she's committing a sin against God!"

Natalie subconsciously recalled the last time she was intimate with Oliver. It was about a month ago, right?
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
