Chapter 1172 There's News!

Anthony and Arthur didn't interact much; he wasn't close to Oliver either, but they had once been "brothers in adversity" and shared some understanding.

The three men regrouped and quickly covered the search area's blind spots.

Overnight, Paykston's sharp elites sensed something was off.

Everyone whispered in private.

"What's going on? This city-wide search feels like they're after a most-wanted criminal. Who are they looking for?"

"Doesn't seem like the government. I saw Oliver's people."

"Oliver? Nothing's happened to him lately. Natalie was at a charity event yesterday."

"The Windsor family? I saw Anthony's people too."

"Anthony's from the South. What's he doing in Paykston?"

"Maybe something happened to Jane? She's close to Oliver's wife."

"It doesn't make sense, if something happened to Jane, would Jovan stay calm?"

"True, I haven't seen Jovan make a move."

"So what's the deal? It's been years since we've seen such a big operation. Who can mobilize both the Windsor and Clark families?"

"Who knows, but we should lay low for now."

For two nights straight, Paykston's top spots were unusually quiet, barely anyone around.

Because, for two nights straight, Tina was still missing.

The men could handle it, but the women struggled more.

No one wanted to sleep. Without news of Tina, no one dared to rest, nerves on edge.

Finally, the three men put sleeping pills in the water, forcing the women to rest.

When the women woke up, they were even more silent. They couldn't say the men were wrong, but they didn't appreciate the gesture either.

"We have news!" A subordinate burst in, excited. "The West Suburb Dock! Someone saw a few people boarding a ship with an unconscious person!"

Arthur's face went pale.

The dock, the ship, the sea—Flora had once disappeared into the sea, almost lost to Arthur.

They jumped up. The car was ready, and they sped to the West Suburb Dock.

No one spoke in the tense atmosphere.

It was torture.

Until they saw Tina safe, it was all torture.

The rain poured down.

The West Suburb Dock was semi-abandoned, few ships passing through, now sealed off.

Before the car even stopped, they rushed out.

A subordinate followed with a big black umbrella.

"Mr. Clark, it's that ship," Clint said. "But there's TNT inside. Collin's already in with bodyguards and a bomb expert."

No need to say more; the situation was dire.

"Tina." Flora's face was pale, on the verge of collapse.

Arthur quickly supported her, holding her close.

Normally, Flora would pull away from Arthur, but now she didn't care.

Flora stared at the old, broken ship. The thought of Tina inside, with TNT, tore at her heart.

Her Tina was still so young!

Natalie was tense. Oliver patted her shoulder, softly saying, "It'll be okay."

Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
