Chapter 1060 Prenatal Education
"Jane, you're in your twenties and still can't watch where you're going?" Anthony scolded with a frown.
That moment just now had scared Anthony half to death.
Pregnant women were extremely delicate, let alone a pampered girl like Jane.
Jane herself didn't think much of it. She glanced back at the sofa, this time avoiding the obstacles. She lifted her chin to signal Anthony. "Hurry up and sit back down. If you're going to have your photo taken, cooperate a bit."
Anthony's brow remained furrowed. He glanced at the servant beside him, signaling them to keep an eye on Jane.
The photoshoot went smoothly afterward.
Jane finished in just half an hour and selected the ten photos she was most satisfied with.
Jane didn't like viewing photos on the camera's display because the colors on the camera screen differed from those on a phone or computer screen.
Jane imported the photos to her phone, intending to do some simple edits with a photo editing app. To her surprise, there was nothing that needed editing!
Even the color adjustment was only necessary for two of the photos!
In the luxurious and elegant setting, Anthony sat on the sofa in a simple white shirt and black trousers, his posture exuding a lazy yet arrogant air, like the most unrestrained king in the room.
One of the photos even captured Anthony's gray cotton slippers, which surprisingly didn't look out of place. Instead, they added a touch of color to his otherwise stern demeanor.
When Anthony looked at the photos, there seemed to be an extreme gentleness in his eyes.
"What?" Anthony asked when he saw Jane staring at her phone without looking up.
Jane snapped out of it, quickly banishing the word "gentleness" from her mind, and gave Anthony a thumbs up.
"You really are a pretentious person at heart," she said.
Otherwise, how could these photos look so natural and unpretentious?
"Should I send the photos to your email?" Jane was very pleased with this set of photos and was ready to hand them over to Anthony on the spot.
He replied, "Just send them to my Facebook."
Two seconds later.
"Okay! Done!" Jane even thoughtfully sent the original files and reached out to Anthony, "Can you delete my photos now?"
Anthony originally wanted to keep those photos, but Jane was very concerned about her looks and image and would never allow him to keep what she considered ugly photos.
If Anthony secretly kept them, Jane might throw a fit.
Anthony handed his phone to her. "Delete them yourself."
Jane deleting them herself was safer.
"Aren't you afraid I'll see something I shouldn't?" Jane said as she took the phone.
Upon opening the photo album and spotting her unflattering photos, Jane immediately selected and permanently deleted them.
"There's nothing you can't see," Anthony said nonchalantly.
Jane was so focused on the photos that she didn't notice Anthony's comment.
Just as she was about to return the phone, she noticed an encrypted album in Anthony's gallery.
Jane gave Anthony a curious look.
"What?" Anthony asked.
"Nothing, just didn't expect you to have encrypted photos. Could they be some kind of secret photos?" Jane said casually, knowing that many people had such habits.
"Want to see?" Anthony raised an eyebrow, looking as if he would show her if she said "yes."
Jane handed the phone back to Anthony as if it were something she couldn't bear to hold.
'Who wants to see that?' she thought to herself.
If it turned out to be something inappropriate, as long as Anthony wasn't embarrassed, Jane would be the one feeling awkward.
Anthony saved the photos Jane took of him without much interest in looking at them.
The reason he saved them was simply because they were how Jane saw him.
Jane needed to edit the landscape photos taken during the day. She fetched her computer and opened the photo editing software to start working skillfully.
"Jane." Anthony suddenly interrupted her. "Remember the prenatal checkup tomorrow?"
Absorbed in her work, it took Jane a full two seconds to react. "I remember."
Now she did.
Because Billy's cooking had been so to her taste lately, and it seemed Billy had adjusted the recipes specifically for pregnant women, Jane hadn't experienced severe morning sickness, only occasional discomfort, so she often forgot she was pregnant.
Jane even forgot to take medicine when she was sick, so how could she remember a prenatal checkup?
Anthony didn't hold it against Jane; he had already guessed she might forget. "After the checkup tomorrow, I'll take you to buy some radiation protection clothing."
Jane's first thought was the thick lab coats from TV shows, and her whole face scrunched up in disdain.
"What are you thinking?" Anthony lightly tapped Jane's forehead with his knuckles. "It's not ugly, it won't affect you."
Jane automatically filled in Anthony's words: It won't affect your looks.
"But Natalie didn't wear that kind of thing when she was pregnant," Jane said.
"Does Natalie spend every day in front of a computer or phone?" Anthony retorted.
No, Natalie was always with books. Paper books.
That night, Jane returned to her room and picked up her phone to search whether pregnant women needed to wear radiation protection clothing.
The internet had all kinds of answers; some said yes, some said no.
Then, related searches recommended "prenatal education" to Jane.
Jane had no particular expectations for the baby in her belly, but she clicked on it out of curiosity.
One of the articles mentioned that prenatal education could involve listening to elegant music daily and maintaining a calm and peaceful mindset. The mother's temperament during pregnancy could influence the baby's temperament after birth.
In other words, a newborn's temperament could, to some extent, reflect the mother's behavior during pregnancy.
Jane subconsciously recalled what she had been doing for the past month or so—cursing and arguing.
Her child might have the potential to be a top fighter—cursing Anthony and giving him the cold shoulder. They might find their father annoying and enjoy playing on the phone, taking photos, editing, sleeping in, eating, and drinking. In the end, they might become a spoiled rich kid who only knew how to enjoy life.
Oh my God, that was terrifying!
