Chapter 1062 She Wants Revenge!
"Any news about my brother?" Jane suddenly looked up and asked Anthony. After asking, she added, "Anthony, don't worry. Since I promised to keep this child, I won't go back on my word just because I hear my brother is safe."
"Not yet," Anthony replied, as he still hadn't received any evidence that Jovan was safe and sound.
So far, Jovan had not shown up.
Fortunately, Jovan had been busy with the Richardson family matters recently. Otherwise, if he had a bit of free time, he might easily find out about Jane's pregnancy.
It was not that Anthony thought Jovan shouldn't know about this; he didn't want Jovan to interfere between him and Jane.
Every time Jovan appeared, Anthony felt that in Jane's heart, his place was far less significant than Jovan's.
Even though Jovan was Jane's biological brother, that feeling still strongly affected Anthony's possessiveness towards Jane.
In another scene, the servant's eyes suddenly lit up as she grabbed Aurora. "Ms. Dewar, is that Mr. Clark over there?"
Aurora turned her head at the sound, feeling an inexplicable sense of anticipation, her heart pounding. However, she couldn't find any trace of Anthony.
The servant instantly noticed the change in Aurora's mood.
A moment ago, Aurora was just indifferent, but now she was brimming with energy, like a desperate person in an abyss who had been poisoned, resembling a venomous snake from the depths!
Aurora gave the servant a cold glance, her eyes filled with chilliness. "I warn you, don't mention that man's name in front of me. I know what you're thinking. You're just like those people who want to see me make a fool of myself! You think you can laugh at me? Who do you think you are?"
"I'm sorry, Ms. Watkins! I didn't mean to, I wasn't trying to mention him on purpose!" The servant felt a chill all over, worried that a slap might come at any moment.
The servant dared not say more, knowing that in Aurora's current paranoid state, explanations wouldn't work. Whether intentional or not, it was her fault.
The Aurora now was no longer the gentle, charming, and graceful one of the past.
Since giving birth, Aurora had become eccentric and two-faced. In public, she still appeared as gentle as before, but in private, she had become ruthless and even physically abusive towards the servants.
"Ms. Dewar, the baby formula is up ahead, we..." The servant tried to change the subject, as they had come to the mall to buy baby supplies.
"Go back!" Aurora interrupted the servant.
That child was never what Aurora wanted; she had tried to get rid of him, but he survived!
Now, Aurora was in a bad mood. She thought angrily, 'Why buy formula? Let him starve!'
The servant, terrified, dared not speak again but noticed that Aurora suddenly stopped after a few steps, her whole body exuding hostility, staring at a distant spot.
The servant followed her gaze and saw a slender, elegant woman in flat shoes and cotton clothes, looking serene.
It was Jane!
"Why is that wicked woman here?" Aurora's expression instantly turned gloomy.
'Wasn't Jane supposed to have left Southvale? Wait, this is the baby section. Why is she here?' she thought.
A crazy thought popped into Aurora's mind. 'Is Jane buying baby supplies for someone else, or is she pregnant? If Jane is pregnant, whose child is it?'
Before Aurora could figure it out, Anthony walked out of the store. He seemed to be saying something to Jane, his usually stern eyes filled with a tenderness Aurora had never seen.
"Is that Anthony?" Aurora asked the servant beside her.
Seeing Anthony and Jane together, the servant felt a chill down her spine. She couldn't avoid answering and reluctantly said, "Yes."
"Did you know they were coming here and deliberately brought me here to buy things to provoke me?" Aurora fell into a paranoid state, venting all her displeasure on the only person she could.
The servant felt wronged. Wasn't it Aurora's own decision to come and buy baby formula?
No wonder Anthony didn't like such a paranoid madwoman!
Once the contract was up, the servant would quit and never serve such an unwed, morally corrupt woman like Aurora again!
In the blink of an eye, Anthony and Jane had already left Aurora's sight, escorted by several bodyguards.
Aurora was immersed in disbelief.
'Anthony actually accompanied Jane to a baby store?'
'Jane is pregnant with Anthony's child?'
'No! This can't be!'
The thought of this possibility almost drove Aurora mad!
This was Aurora's first outing in two months after giving birth.
Aurora was now a laughingstock in the circle. She had once claimed to be Anthony's fiancée and even moved into the Clark family while pregnant, only to find out that the child had nothing to do with Anthony.
Aurora now had an illegitimate son with Hubert, but Hubert still hadn't given her a proper status!
For the past two months, Aurora had repeatedly wondered where she had gone wrong.
Was it wrong to go to the Clark family while pregnant?
Was it wrong to use Ann's affection to become Anthony's fiancée?
Or was it even earlier, that liking Anthony was a mistake, and she shouldn't have liked him at all?
Did she make a mistake? This thought flashed through Aurora's mind.
No! She wasn't wrong!
The ones who were wrong were Jane and Anthony!
Why could Jane like Anthony, but she couldn't?
Why could Jane receive Anthony's tenderness and loyalty, all of Anthony's love and care, but she couldn't?
Jane was now a stray dog without parents or backing, nowhere near as good as her!
Aurora vaguely felt she was falling into a paranoid obsession, but she didn't find it frightening.
If falling into this obsession could bring the deserved punishment to those who hurt her and ruined her life, then she was willing to fall!
Aurora wanted revenge!
Jane ultimately didn't get the milkshake she wanted. She was a bit sullen when getting into the car, but due to the psychological barrier with Anthony, she didn't show it much.
Jane leaned against the window, thinking about ordering a milkshake delivery when Anthony wasn't at Emerald Gardens, and drinking it secretly!
Thinking about this, she fell asleep.
Anthony had been paying attention to Jane's movements. Seeing her breathing become steady, he glanced at the bodyguard in the front row.
The bodyguard turned slightly and whispered to Anthony, "Mr. Clark, Ms. Dewar was also in the mall just now. She might have seen you."
Aurora, that name hadn't appeared in Anthony's ears for a long time.
Anthony had almost forgotten about the Aurora who once made him feel annoyed.
