Chapter 468

Natalie was not in the mood for a conversation. However, the memory of last night's stench of alcohol, the lipstick mark on his shirt collar, and the scent of another woman's perfume ignited her anger.

Furthermore, she indeed occupied his bedroom. She needed to explain it to him, so her actions did not seem baseless.

She took a deep breath to restrain her fury before she said, "Did you fool around with other women last night? I asked for a divorce, but you refused. However, your behavior clearly indicates that our marriage has ended."

"What?" Oliver asked, puzzled.

Natalie felt like it would be embarrassing for both of them if she mentioned the lipstick and the perfume. She shifted her gaze to Oliver's left hand and said, "Look, you've already removed your wedding ring."

Stunned, Oliver looked down to find his ring finger bare.

"Let's proceed with the divorce, Oliver," Natalie stated calmly. "We didn't sign a prenuptial agreement, but I won't ask for anything from you. My belongings are few, and I can leave as soon as we finalize the divorce papers."

"Leave? Where are you going to go?" Oliver asked as he thought to himself with a scoff, 'Does she think I refused to divorce because of my assets?'

"I bought a house of my own."

Oliver was taken aback. He was unaware that Natalie had purchased a property, which indicated that she had been prepared to leave him. He looked at her, who was looking at him indifferently, before he said, "Don't even think about it.”

With that, he stormed off.

After a few moments, the maid, who responded to Natalie last night, appeared. She wheeled Natalie to the elevator as she whispered, "Ma'am, the master slept at the door last night."

Natalie looked down.

"He used the shower in the guest bathroom. When he came here, he discovered the door was locked."

Needless to say, it was obvious to all that Natalie had locked the door.

She chose to ignore the maid's hint.

However, the maid continued, "Sir… He waited by the door. Thinking that you were sleeping, he didn't want to disturb you, and he only fell asleep close to dawn. Perhaps that's why he's in a bad mood today."

"Do you not want us to get a divorce?" Natalie asked. She naturally knew the maid was speaking for Oliver.

"Ma'am, it's clear to us all that Sir really loves you. Mr. Liam and all of us, we're very fond of you too."

In the maid's opinion, Natalie was approachable, down-to-earth, talented, and had a good temperament. Who would not like such an employer? Compared to others, Natalie was truly one in a million.

"Thanks," Natalie said, looking down. Alas, some things went beyond like or dislike; they could not be resolved by outsiders.

The staff at the Rosewood Estate only knew that the cold war between Oliver and Natalie had escalated that morning.

Oliver, now in casual attire, stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, his thumb rubbing against the ring finger of his left hand, trying to remember where his wedding ring had gone.

The ring was custom-fitted; it should not have slipped off on its own unless something… or someone had taken it off.

"Oliver!" Liam rushed in, looking distressed.

Oliver hummed in acknowledgment.

"You have to be more careful when you're out, Oliver. At least you have to hide certain things from Natalie…" Liam said.

'Hide thing from Natalie?' Oliver was confused.
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
