Chapter 648 The Little Prince
Tina pointed at Oliver's belly button.
Natalie and Oliver exchanged a puzzled look.
"Brother said you’re not supposed to show it to others," Tina said seriously. Her eyes shone when she mentioned her brother, clearly fond of him.
Oliver glanced at Natalie, asking with his eyes, ‘Does Flora have a son?’
Natalie had the urge to kick him off the bed; Flora had been only eighteen when she had Tina, how could she have an older son?
"What brother?" Natalie inquired.
"From my uncle's house!" Tina replied as if it were the most obvious answer in the world.
Natalie presumed the ‘brother’ Tina mentioned was probably the son of one of Flora's friends or neighbors abroad.
"Why would he tell you that?" Natalie asked, concerned that if the boy was intentionally leading young Tina astray or giving her the wrong idea, they would need to be extra cautious.
"I saw it once!" Tina exclaimed excitedly, gesturing with her hands, trying to explain.
Natalie humored Tina for a while before she said softly, ending the conversation, “Tina, it’s time for bed.”
Tina was a good girl. Although she was not sleepy, she knew it was late and time to sleep. Children should always listen and do what was expected of them.
"Can you tell me a story, Natalie?" Tina asked shyly with a hint of anticipation.
Natalie nodded. As long as the story did not reveal anything inappropriate for someone of preschool age, she considered storytelling a wonderful activity.
"What would you like to hear?" she asked.
"The Little Prince!"
Natalie's voice was gentle, and her enunciation was elegant.
Oliver, unable to sleep now, propped himself up on one elbow, his gaze lingering on Natalie. His eyes burned with desire; signs of desire unfulfilled.
Tina soon fell asleep again.
When Natalie carefully put away her phone and prepared to lie down, she caught Oliver's intense gaze on her. His light brown pupils surged with deep emotions. She whispered, mindful not to wake Tina up, “Why are you looking at me like that?”
She was somewhat embarrassed, feeling childish in the way she interacted with Tina in front of Oliver, which was unlike her usual self.
Oliver chuckled, his eyes brightening with amusement.
"What is so funny?" Natalie asked, puzzled.
He leaned across Tina and placed a gentle kiss on Natalie. "Baby, you’ll make a wonderful mother one day."
Natalie’s cheeks flushed red.
"But I don’t want our daughter sleeping between us in the future."
Natalie rolled her eyes. "Go to sleep!"
The night was destined to be sleepless.
…
The debut show of the rising fashion designer, Flora Lee, had been a smashing success. The opening featured a live performance by the Royal Austrian Orchestra, instantly trending among netizens and the fashion industry.
It was followed by Natalie's impressive comeback. She returned directly to the top, reclaiming the top spot before anyone had a chance to react or sabotage her.
Then, Flora dropped a shocking piece of news—she was a single mother. The father of her daughter was Arthur Windsor from the prestigious Windsor family. This revelation came to light amid her custody dispute with Arthur over their daughter.
The afterparty was still in full swing when various elite figures began to clamor over Flora's debut collection. Her collection drew the attention of several industry heavyweights.
Rumors quickly spread beyond the venue that people were fiercely competing for her designs; her standout piece, Flawless, eventually fetched an incredible $38 million.
…
The next day, this remained the most talked-about subject in the industry.
"$38 million? For a single dress? Sure, it's embellished with diamonds and pearls, but they’re small. How can it have such a high value?"
"Wait for it. You’re even going to be even more shocked! Guess who bought it and for whom!”
“Oliver. He bought it for Natalie!”
"What?!"
"Did I hear wrongly, or did you just say Oliver spent nearly 40 million on a dress for his ex-wife, Natalie?"
"Has Oliver lost his mind, or have we?"
