Chapter 760 I Don't Like You
Jane wanted to find a gigolo. Unfortunately, after searching the whole city, she couldn’t find a gigolo as handsome and charismatic as Anthony from back then.
"What a pity," Anthony said upon hearing her words.
Upon hearing what he said, Jane regretted it. "Anthony, what are you going to do?"
He glared at Jane with a livid expression. Jane wanted to step back, but Anthony had a grip on her body. She couldn't move at all. Jane could only tilt her head while unable to escape Anthony’s hands.
Anthony’s anger was quite different from Oliver’s. Since Oliver came from a noble family, even during his hardest times, he remained dignified because he had strong support from the Norton family. But Anthony was different. The Clark family was in decline, and he was his family’s only hope. He harbored great hatred toward his enemies, lurking by his side for years. Compared to Oliver, Anthony was more direct and ruthless. In conclusion, Oliver appeared noble but indifferent, while Anthony was tough through and through.
"I want you to compare my sex performance with those playboys." Anthony touched Jane’s exposed back, feeling her soft skin. "I've told you many times. You dress so provocatively like you're intentionally seducing me."
‘Is my dress provocative? It only shows my back!’
Jane suddenly recalled a memory. Back in high school during gym class, she happily bought a set of midriff-baring and back-revealing short-skirt swimsuits. Jane was proud of her appearance at that time. She wanted to seek praise from Anthony because she knew he wouldn’t allow her to wear a bikini. But Anthony threw away that swimsuit and replaced it with a tight wetsuit that covered her whole body.
Thinking about that, Jane became upset and quickly returned her mind to the present. "Mr. Clark, you don't have the right to control me. Even if I go out naked, it has nothing to do with you!"
Anthony narrowed his eyes. His fingers touched the fabric on Jane's shoulder and she felt his fingers hooking onto it and sliding it downward. But suddenly, a voice came from outside the bathroom. "Anthony, Ms. Watkins, are you in there?"
The nervousness mixed with a hint of romance vanished instantly. It was Aurora's voice. Jane realized she had been arguing with Aurora’s husband-to-be, while the polite woman outside was Anthony’s bride-to-be. Thinking about this, Jane found it ridiculous. She laughed out loud, feeling melancholic. "Mr. Clark, your fiancé-to-be is looking for you."
Anthony continued to stare at Jane intently. His eyes blinked without pausing as if he hadn't heard Aurora’s voice. He would soon become someone else's husband; he shouldn't be looking at Jane in such a manner!
"Anthony, I'll give you one more chance. Let go of me now and leave! I'll come out later. I won't tell anyone about what happened between us. I won't make your fiancé feel awkward."
"Jane, you're as considerate as ever!" Anthony gritted his teeth as he spoke word by word.
"Of course! I also never thought I could be so considerate until hearing what I said just now," Jane explained with a smirk. Seeing Anthony's increasingly stiffened expression, she felt surprisingly satisfied. After all, he had brought her in, humiliated her, tangled with her, and she was still considerate of him.
"Anthony? Anthony, are you inside? Your mom sent someone to look for you, and they're coming over." Aurora's anxious voice came from outside again. She knocked on the bathroom door a few times.
"Can you let go of me? Your fiancé is looking for you!" Jane looked at the ceiling and mocked herself, "I never thought that one day, I would have an affair with you." she desperately wanted to curse out loud.
"Come in!" Anthony said calmly and clearly. His voice was neither loud nor soft, and Aurora could hear him.
As Anthony spoke, Jane looked at him in disbelief as if asking if he was crazy. Aurora didn't expect Anthony to let her in either. She stood still for several seconds, cautiously pushing the door open.
The moment Aurora entered, a slap resounded. Jane somehow managed to break free from Anthony's restraint and slapped him. She had always been fierce since she was young, and the force she used to slap Anthony was equivalent to the strength of a man.
The slap turned Anthony's head sideways. He didn't look at Aurora who had entered, but glared furiously at Jane. The tense situation scared Aurora into silence. Just when she thought Anthony would get angry at Jane, Jane sneered disdainfully. Then, she turned around and left without looking back, just like when she left the room where Ann was. Surprisingly, no one stopped her from leaving, just like before.
Aurora stood still for several seconds, completely confused. Seeing Jane slap Anthony, she wondered, ‘Is Anthony going to let her go?’
"Anthony, are you okay?" Aurora quickly suppressed her thoughts and ran over to check Anthony's face. She was shocked. "Anthony, your mouth is bleeding! Let me help you wipe."
Aurora grabbed some wet tissues from the bathroom cabinet, turned around, and tried to wipe Anthony's mouth. But Anthony raised his hand and casually wiped it as if he couldn't feel any pain and didn't care about the bleeding. His gaze was fixed on the bathroom door even though Jane had left for quite some time.
Aurora sighed and couldn't help but complain, "Ms. Watkins slapped you too hard."
"Did she?" Anthony recalled the slapping moment and added, "Her slap wasn't hard at all." he knew the extent of Jane's strength. One time, she fractured someone’s bones who tried to bully her. But just now, Jane only slapped him, and she had slapped him before.
"What?" at first, Aurora was talking to herself and didn't expect Anthony to respond. Anthony's attitude toward her had always been cold. But because of her care and companionship with Ann over the past few years, he treated her slightly better than others.
"Anthony, you..." Aurora tried to say something. But the bathroom was so quiet that it made her feel uneasy.
"I don't want to get engaged to you," Anthony said, leaning against the marble at the same spot Jane had leaned.
"Anthony?" Aurora panicked and became speechless. Her eyes turned red. She looked at Anthony and asked, "Did I do something wrong? I can change! Although I don't have much fame, I am still quite decent. I..."
"Aurora, I don't like you," Anthony interrupted her. There was no pity in his eyes when he rejected her, only a statement of fact.
Aurora stood frozen in place. She knew Anthony didn't like her, but she didn't care.
