Chapter 790 Mrs. Windsor's Praise

[Oliver is amazing! After their kiss during the livestream, he made their relationship public at the competition venue. It seemed he wanted to ensure that everyone knew Natalie is his.]

[Congratulations, Oliver, on winning back Natalie!]

Natalie was surprised by the high-profile nature of her relationship with Oliver. While scrolling through comments online, one particular comment caught her eye.

[But why do I feel like there's a hint of conspiracy? Could Oliver have done it on purpose? Especially with the way he dressed today. I went back and looked through his past interviews and realized that he had never styled his hair before.]

"What are you looking at?"

Oliver emerged from the bathroom. It was summer, and he only wrapped a towel around his waist, showcasing his sculpted abs and chest. His striking physique and presence made it clear why a director had invited him to model. Indeed, his appearance and aura were unmatched.

"It's nothing," Natalie replied, setting her phone aside and shifting her focus away from Oliver's striking appearance.

Oliver watched her silently, clearly not convinced by her dismissive response. However, since she chose not to elaborate, he did not press her further. The doctor had mentioned that Natalie, being pregnant, might experience fluctuating emotions, and it was important for him to be supportive and understanding.

Oliver was not overly concerned with what Natalie was doing; rather, it was being kept in the dark that made him feel uneasy. He struggled with feelings of insecurity.

If anyone heard Oliver express his insecurities, they might find it hard to believe.

However, excessive concern for someone often led to anxiety.

Moreover, Natalie's brilliance and independence, her ability to manage without him, only intensified his desire to establish a deeper connection to keep her close.

Oliver acknowledged he had issues.

"I'll show you after all!" Natalie suddenly declared, leaping off the couch and nearly losing her balance.

This startled Oliver, who quickly moved to catch her.

"Natalie!"

"Why are you yelling at me?" Natalie asked, looking both innocent and slightly shaken by Oliver's loud voice.

"You almost fell!" Oliver exclaimed, pressing her back onto the couch, "How old are you? You should be more careful. Even if you want to jump, at least do it safely!"

She wanted to say she could have landed safely. Her balance was usually impeccable, and her slight stumble had been caused by the overly soft couch. Besides, the floor was carpeted, offering ample traction. However, she did not bother explaining herself in the end.

In her mind, a question surfaced.

'Isn’t his reaction a little too intense?'

She had been in similar situations before where Oliver simply looked at her without concern. Was his heightened nervousness due to her pregnancy?

"What are you looking at?" Oliver asked again, this time with a softer tone. He sighed and continued, "Natalie, I wasn’t scolding you."

"Oh, you weren't scolding me? Are you saying I'm deaf?" Natalie retorted.

Oliver was momentarily lost for words. Only Natalie could embarrass him like this. He said reluctantly, pulling her into a hug, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have scolded you. Are you satisfied now?"

Natalie hummed, her mood lightening with his apology. She looked at Oliver, who was clearly concerned about her, and reminded herself not to overthink things.

Before she went to the hospital for her examination and received the results, she decided not to let suspicions cloud their relationship. Suspicion was the most dangerous element in a relationship.

"Look at this."

Natalie pointed to the 'conspiracy theory' comment she had read earlier and showed it to Oliver. He glanced at it briefly, his expression unreadable—he had always been skilled at concealing his emotions.

"Oliver, may I interview you? What do you think of this comment?" Natalie challenged, adopting a playful but serious demeanor.

"This netizen seems to have a vivid imagination," Oliver replied earnestly.

Natalie paused for a moment. "I think he has a point!"

"Why do you think so?" Oliver asked calmly.

"I believe, maybe during the live broadcast, you acted intentionally. You kissed me to let many people know. With your awareness and intelligence, how could you not have noticed?" Natalie argued.

"Thank you for the compliment, Mrs. Windsor," Oliver replied with a slight smile.

"Who's complimenting you? I'm seriously discussing this issue with you!"

If Natalie did not know how composed Oliver usually was, she might have been fooled by his calm demeanor. She started to wonder if she was overthinking. Although uncertain about her pregnancy, this time, she was sure of her reasoning.

Oliver pondered for a moment, then said, "You could see it as my mistake. At that moment, I only had eyes for you and didn’t consider the microphone."

"I don't believe it!" Natalie was not convinced, saying, "Just like this netizen said, why did you suddenly dress so formally today? You even styled your hair. I suspect you wanted to make our relationship public."

"Didn't I tell you? I dressed up for you," Oliver replied unabashedly.

Natalie was so frustrated she almost did not want to continue the conversation. "Oliver, your current attitude seems very much like you’re justifying yourself, do you realize that?"

Oliver chuckled and pulled Natalie onto his lap, saying, "Mrs. Windsor, I went public because someone asked, so tell me, how could I know what those journalists would ask? How could I ensure the cameramen would focus on me? In fact, it was you who exposed us."

"Me?" Natalie pointed at herself, her expression one of disbelief. She was stunned. How could Oliver twist the conversation with such finesse?

Oliver nodded affirmatively. "If it weren't for you watching me so intently, most likely, no one would have noticed me."

Indeed, it had been a coincidental turn of events. The cameramen had focused on Oliver primarily because of Natalie's gaze fixed on him.

But she could not say, 'It's all your fault for looking at me when the camera panned over', could she?

That would come off as childish and unreasonable.

"But I always feel like this was all orchestrated by you," Natalie finally said, her instincts telling her that Oliver had planned everything.
