Chapter 612 Brother! Natalie is hitting me!

"Susan, it seems my warnings fell on deaf ears. I could stab you over twenty times, but," Natalie paused for effect, "everything you cling to, everything you take pride in, if it's not rightfully yours, I will shatter it all!"

"Mr. Barrett, save me! Somebody help, Natalie's lost it!" Susan cried out in relief and hope as she saw people approaching.

It was a group of wealthy young men and ladies. They were curious about the buzz around Oliver hitting Lucas and eager to see the gossip-worthy event and check on Mr. Watson.

They stepped out only to hear screams and witness the chaos.

"I thought it was a banshee wailing a minute ago, just Susan," Cadence said nonchalantly, patting her chest and looking unfazed—even thrilled—at the sight of Natalie pinning Susan against the wall.

Why stop now? Just holding her like that is so boring!

Susan shot Cadence a venomous glare, but her precarious situation didn't permit her to challenge the beleaguered heiress. Instead, her pitiful gaze turned to Barrett and the other affluent young men, keenly aware of how to exploit her feminine appeal.
The young heirs already had a soft spot for Susan. But when they saw Barrett fiddling with his phone, pretending not to care about her plight, they exchanged glances and pulled out their own phones, feigning busyness.

The girls who accompanied Susan, who just happened to clash with her, chatted away gleefully, ignoring the "harassment" Susan was enduring from Natalie.

Susan felt a wave of humiliation. Here she was being hit by Natalie in front of everyone, her cries for help falling on deaf ears.

They must all be laughing at her!

"Ding dong!" The elevator doors slid open.

"Oliver! Save me!" Susan's eyes widened with relief as she saw who was behind Natalie in the elevator.

Oliver stood inside the elevator, pausing a moment to take in the scene before stepping out impassively..

The others, who had been chattering away and deliberately ignoring Susan's situation, fell silent, watching him and waiting tensely for his reaction.

Although Oliver hadn't been paying much attention to Susan lately, nobody was really sure where he stood with her... especially since Natalie was being quite... quite violent towards Susan.

Anyone with a shred of empathy would find it hard to stay silent.

Natalie, still pressing Susan's hand without the slightest release, shot Oliver a side glance, her eyes still flashing with the fury of her assault and anticipation of Oliver's response.

"What are you doing?" Oliver asked.

A knot of anxiety tightened in everyone's stomachs. Was Oliver actually going to take Susan's side?

"Oliver! Natalie hit me! She attacked me for no reason, I didn't do anything to provoke her!" Susan yelled, feeling a stinging pain on her scalp and the side of her face.

She hadn't done anything to provoke Natalie this time. Oliver surely wouldn't just stand by and let Natalie bully her!

Natalie glanced at Susan and arched her eyebrow at Oliver, as if to say, "Yes, I hit her for no reason, what are you going to do about it?", which left the onlookers speechless.

"Once this is sorted, return to your room. Grandma wants to talk to you," Oliver said, not even glancing at Susan or Sharon as he walked toward his own room.

The others quickly stepped aside, still too stunned to react.

"Oliver!" Susan cried out in agony. "Do you really have no heart for me?"
Oliver paused in his tracks, glancing at Susan with a look that was cold and distant, sending a shiver down her spine.

Susan felt as if she had been drenched with a bucket of ice water, trembling from head to toe.

Natalie watched Oliver's retreating back, her mood brightening slightly.

"Susan, just wait, this is only the beginning," Natalie said dismissively as she let go of Susan's pale face as if she were discarding trash.

Left without Natalie's support, Susan's body went limp. She slid down the wall but, amidst the crowd, clenched her teeth and summoned all her willpower to avoid collapsing in a heap on the floor.

With a gentle wave of her hand and a warm smile, Natalie said, "Thanks, everyone." Her gratitude for their non-interference was implicit.

Natalie stood up straight once more, her demeanor as serene and graceful as if the confrontation had never happened.

As Natalie made her way back, she pondered the sudden reason why Marjorie had been looking for her.

The remaining heirs and heiresses didn't linger long or acknowledge Susan and Sharon, stepping into the elevator and leaving the scene.

Susan, once the center of attention, now felt ignored and discarded like trash. The blow to her dignity stung far more painfully than any physical hurt.

"Ah!" Susan punched the wall fiercely. Her scream of pain and hatred echoed through the corridor.

"Susan, how do you feel?" Sharon asked with feigned concern as she helped Susan up.

Susan shoved Sharon away and yelled, "Get off me! "

Sharon sneered inwardly, 'Weren't you just slapped around by Natalie? What's there to brag about?'

"Oh, my! Susan, your face..." Sharon feigned shock while secretly reveling in the schadenfreude.

Susan had felt the pain in her face earlier and now, tracing it with her fingertips, she winced with the sharp sting, her fingers coming away with blood.

Her face went pale as she quickly pulled out a mirror. Both her cheek and brow bore visible cuts, the handiwork of Natalie's nails.

Susan's hands trembled. No woman took her appearance lightly, and she was no exception.

"Susan, isn't that a security camera?" In a desperate bid to divert Susan's wrath, Sharon pointed at a camera in the corner of the wall.
Susan rose to her feet, dismissing her previous sullenness with a wry smile curling at the corner of her mouth.
Natalie's recent outburst was caught on camera; her aggressive antics were enough to tarnish her image. She could even label Natalie with assault charges!
Everyone stepped into the elevator and inhaled sharply, half thrilled, half astonished.
"Holy smokes," someone exclaimed, "Natalie's fierce!"
"Fierce? No way, she's freaking awesome! Natalie's totally my hero now!"
"So, what's Mr. Windsor's take on all this? He's got Natalie's back, right?"
"Who knows? But after Oliver punched Lucas, Natalie won't just let it go, that's for sure."
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
