Chapter 252 Kidnapping

Natalie did not call Lucas, so he continued to follow his sister’s instructions and kept an eye on Lilian.

"Shouldn't you leave now? It’s almost ten, and there’s only one bed in my house."

Lilian hoped Lucas would leave so she could go find her cousin.

"Who said I was going back?"

Lucas sat boldly on the sofa, staring at Lilian.

With his crew cut and somewhat rogue demeanor, Lilian thought he appeared particularly fierce. Clearly, he was not a decent person!

Lilian crossed her arms over her chest, looking at him vigilantly. "What are you trying to do? You can’t bully me! I warn you, if you bully me, Natalie won’t let you off!"

Lucas had no such intention. He simply wanted to lie down on the sofa. Was it not obvious that he intended to sleep there? However, Lilian's reaction only increased his interest. He leisurely stood up and walked toward Lilian.

Lilian watched him as if she was facing a formidable enemy. Every time he took a step forward, she took a step back.

"Don’t come any closer! I won’t accept you!"

"Don’t you understand how the adult world works? You said my sister won’t let me off? She’s my sister, not yours. If you don’t have the heart to be her sister-in-law, do you think she’ll help you?” Lucas smirked. His aura was intimidating at this moment.

He was tall and mature for his age, making it hard for people to believe he was only sixteen years old. To get his driver's license, he had quietly asked the organization to change his age to eighteen at the start of the school year. The naive girl in front of him would never guess they were the same age!

"D-don-t mess around! I’ll… I’ll shout!”

Lilian panicked. Then she suddenly had a flash of inspiration when she noticed her bedroom was not far away. Without another thought, she sprinted back to her room.

With a loud bang, the door was slammed shut and locked in an instant.

Lilian's knee collided with the bed frame, and she felt intense pain. She could hear the sounds of laughter from the other side of the door.

Lucas bent over as he laughed.

"Lilian, my sister said you were smart. Did you leave your brain in France? With your qualities, do you think I’d be interested in you?"

"Why are you insulting me? I have many suitors!"

Lilian clutched her knee in pain, but she still managed to retort.

"I… I don’t want to talk to you anymore!"

Lilian felt like she was about to explode. How could Natalie's brother be so annoying? And Natalie actually asked such an annoying person to watch over her! They were really an annoying pair of siblings!

Silence returned to the room.

Lucas stood by the window, gazing out at the night view. Suddenly, his eyes narrowed. He quickly took out a mini telescope from his bag and peered down through the curtains.

Two men stood under a flourishing banyan tree downstairs. Through the telescope, Lucas observed them carefully. Their eyes... were focused on Lilian's apartment!

After a while, the two men entered the building.

Oliver's cousin had the surname Norton and was a mixed-race child. Lucas had already guessed her identity as Miss Norton from the Norton family when he learned this information.

Lucas's expression turned serious with a hint of anticipation. He had made preparations after he received Natalie's call to protect Lilian, so he brought along many things.

He opened his backpack, took out a modified electric baton, and unlocked the lock on the main door, making it easy for anyone outside to break in. Then, he put on his night vision goggles, turned off the lights in the living room, and stood behind the corner wall.

Not long after, the sound of a lock being picked was heard.

Click!

The door slowly opened, and two tall figures quietly stepped inside from the darkness.

The living room was pitch black, but Lucas, equipped with night vision goggles, could see the two men clearly.

He launched a fierce attack, wielding the electric baton he had modified himself. He was able to render someone temporarily unconscious without inflicting physical harm.

Caught off guard, the two men had no time to react. They collapsed to the ground, dazed.

Subsequently, Lucas turned on the lights and began to rummage through their belongings - finding sleeping pills, duct tape, and nylon rope. A smile slowly formed on his face as he realized the intentions of the intruders.

Lilian lay in her bed, wrapped up in her blanket. Her eyes were fixed warily on the door, fearful that Lucas might find a way to break in. Sleepiness gradually enveloped her, yet she fought to stay awake.

At this moment, she thought she heard a soft thud. She frowned, wondering inwardly, ‘Did I mishear, or did that annoying guy fall? I hoped he fell! That annoying guy deserves it!’

Although she was curious, she did not dare to check. After all, what if he did not fall? She left her bed and pressed her ear against the door but could not hear any sounds.

Eventually, succumbing to her drowsiness, Lilian returned to her bed and drifted into a fitful sleep. She planned to wait until Lucas was asleep, then tie him up, threaten him with a knife, and force him to take her to find her cousin.

But Lilian had underestimated her own tiredness. She set her alarm for 3 AM but slept through until dawn, oblivious to when the alarm had sounded or when she had turned it off.

Upon opening the bedroom door, she was met with a sight that made her scream loudly. Her eyes widened in shock as she looked at the two unfamiliar naked men.

They were tied back-to-back with nylon ropes, their clothes discarded nearby. A section of their hair had been shaved off, which made them look ridiculously funny. Their mouths were sealed with tape, and their faces were covered in drawings of cartoon characters like SpongeBob SquarePants, Doraemon, Snoopy, and Mickey Mouse. There were also sketches of hamburgers, ice cream, and dresses...

‘Who drew so many things on them? Also, why are the drawings so childish?’

Lilian's scream roused Lucas, who frowned and sat up on the sofa. Looking displeased, he asked, "Why are you being so loud so early in the morning?"

‘How is it early? It’s almost ten in the morning!’

Lilian trembled, pointing at the two bizarre figures. “T-they are…”
