Chapter 463

“Beat it!” Oliver’s reply was sharp and quick.

"Handsome…"

"Are you leaving or not?" he angrily warned.

Women approached him one after another as he made his way out, only to be repelled by Oliver's fierce demeanor. His eyes and tone warned that anyone who didn't back off was in for trouble.

Oliver headed for the restroom. Halfway there, a slender woman with bright eyes, white teeth, and a warm, alluring smile came into view. It had been a long time since he'd seen a smile like that.

"Oliver…" she said.

He stared at her intensely, his steps faltering.

“You’re so drunk. Let me help you back to your room, okay?”

"Get lost!" Oliver shoved her hand away.

"It's me, Natalie!"

Oliver halted, leaning against a wall, scrutinizing her. Through his drunken haze, she did indeed resemble Natalie.

"Oliver…" Susan had gone to great lengths to learn that Oliver would be alone. She naturally resembled Natalie and had deliberately made up her features and dressed in the style Natalie often wore to confuse him.

Oliver's hand caressed Susan's face, his gaze unfathomably deep, the kind that could mislead someone into sensing a profound affection.

Susan couldn't help but smile triumphantly. Just as she moved closer, her face was suddenly gripped tight.

"Ah!" Susan screamed in pain.

Oliver’s strength, amplified by the alcohol, seemed potent enough to dislocate her jaw.

”Pretending to be my wife? You?" Oliver's voice dripped with scorn as he leaned in close, seeing her as nothing but trash.

Their faces were mere inches apart, a distance that could have been intimate but instead sent chills down Susan's spine. For the first time, she understood why some referred to Oliver as a devil.

A cold smirk played on Oliver's face as he violently jerked his arm to the side.

With a loud "Thunk," Susan's body slammed against the wall, her shoulder and elbow screaming in pain.

She couldn’t comprehend how Oliver could still distinguish her from Natalie even when he was this drunk, and she even mimicked Natalie so perfectly.

"Oliver! Do you even know who I am?!" Susan couldn't believe that Oliver could still recognize her and yet treat her this way.

"This is your last chance," Oliver said coldly over his shoulder as he walked away. Oliver had to admit that this woman had almost fooled him.

Tears sprang to Susan’s eyes as she watched Oliver’s retreating figure. ‘How could he have recognized me? How on earth did he see through the act? And knowing it was me, how could he be so heartless?’

"Is that Natalie?" a group of passersby noticed Susan sobbing on the ground.

Susan looked up in panic at the sound and sheepishly looked around to see where Natalie was.

The onlookers pointed in her position, "That's not Natalie, is it? Isn't Natalie taller? Didn't you see the high heels she wears?"

"I heard Natalie injured her leg and has been confined to a wheelchair lately; this definitely isn't Natalie!"

"Isn't... isn't that Susan? Holy smokes, it really is Susan!"

"Cadence, that's Susan, right? The one who used to hang around Oliver all the time?"
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
