Chapter 802 Don't Squash Me
Just as he finished speaking, he had already lifted Natalie up, quickly wrapped her in a towel, and carried her out of the bathtub.
"I didn't say I don't want to continue taking a bath," Natalie could not help but say.
"Well, I think you’re done with your bath," Oliver replied. His expression showed a hint of displeasure, yet his action of lifting Natalie was gentle, and he moved with a steady pace.
After drying Natalie off, Oliver placed her back in bed and held her, preparing to sleep.
"You're sleeping so early?"
Natalie was surprised. It was only ten o'clock, and typically Oliver did not sleep until midnight. He usually slept for only four to five hours and felt fully rested.
Oliver opened his eyes and coldly asked, "What's wrong? Do you want to engage in some nightly activities then?"
Nightly activities.
This was certainly one of Oliver's bold statements at night.
"I..." Natalie caught herself before saying more and replied, "Let's sleep."
In that moment, several thoughts flashed through her mind, and then she flashed a challenging smile at Oliver. Her bright and clear eyes looked particularly beautiful in the dim light.
Those eyes were captivating.
Oliver noticed that Natalie looked exhausted earlier, so he planned to go to bed earlier.
Meanwhile, Natalie saw the look in Oliver’s eyes change immediately. It was as if he wanted to devour her at this moment. In an instant, she felt dizzy. With swift moments, Oliver, who was sleeping beside her, had already pressed her down.
"Are you provoking me?" Oliver saw the momentary shock and panic on her face. He placed one hand next to Natalie's ear, while his other index finger gently grazed her cheek as he said, "Honey, it seems you are in need of a lesson."
These last few words held a deeper meaning.
Natalie knew this better than anyone. Provoking Oliver was definitely not a wise move, but Natalie wanted to test him.
When she received the report today confirming that she was not pregnant, she should have been completely relieved. However, due to the dream she had while taking a shower, coupled with her encounter with Oliver at the hospital entrance, she still harbored some doubts.
She was taking a risk. If she were indeed pregnant, Oliver would definitely not touch her!
Natalie laughed, breaking the silence. Immediately after that, she took the initiative to kiss Oliver.
Oliver watched her intently, his gaze filled with a mix of emotions. Unfortunately, Natalie had her eyes closed at this very moment, completely oblivious to his scrutiny.
He had only wrapped a bathrobe around her earlier, which meant opening it would be effortless for Oliver.
"Stop… Stop! Oliver, wait!"
As she sensed the situation escalating, Natalie could not help but call for a pause.
"I don't want to wait!" Oliver said before he kissed her passionately again.
"Oliver! Oliver, wait! Stop!" Natalie pushed against his chest repeatedly.
Finally, Oliver halted, his expression turning gloomy and impatient. He looked at her questioningly, trying to understand what was wrong.
"Did you forget what the doctor said?"
Natalie knew that if Oliver had his way tonight, it would definitely not end well for her. After all, she had been tempting and provoking him just moments ago!
"I forgot," Oliver admitted without hesitation.
"Anyway, this isn't okay," Natalie looked at Oliver pleadingly as she said, "Can we wait for a few days?"
Natalie quickly thought it over and added, "Not too long, just until the Supermodel competition is completely over."
Oliver raised an eyebrow in dissatisfaction, propping his elbow on the bed. His emotions were hard to decipher as he said, "Honey, did you forget who said she was interested earlier? And who said she couldn't wait?"
"I was just talking nonsense because I had a nightmare," Natalie stammered.
Oliver chuckled coldly.
Natalie felt somewhat lost.
Oliver maintained a cold expression as he laid out his terms, saying, "So, you're just going to disappoint me like that? I come when you ask me to and leave when you tell me to. Am I some kind of beggar?"
'There's no way you could be a beggar,' Natalie thought to herself, 'You're so rich. If you call yourself a beggar, then what are those ordinary people?'
She quickly caught on to Oliver's meaning, paused for a moment, and tentatively called out, "Honey?"
Oliver narrowed his eyes.
Natalie laughed. "Honey, you're too heavy. Don't squash me."
Oliver's mood had just improved a second ago, and her words made him burst into laughter. She even complained about him being heavy!
He lowered his head and passionately kissed Natalie before lying down next to her and pulling her into his embrace.
"I'll let you off this time. Go to sleep!"
Natalie quickly closed her eyes and simultaneously heaved a sigh of relief.
If she had not stopped him just now, he would definitely have continued. It seemed there should be no issues with the test results, and he had not lied to her.
With her worries alleviated, Natalie's mind relaxed, and she soon drifted off to sleep.
Natalie's breathing became steady and deep, and Oliver quietly opened his eyes, carefully getting out of bed.
The villa boasted excellent soundproofing.
Oliver closed the bedroom door and then dialed Jamie's number.
"Did today’s matter leave any traces?"
"It shouldn't have."
Jamie's response, implying a 99% certainty, reassured Oliver slightly.
However, Natalie's behavior on the bed earlier clearly indicated she was testing him!
"Mr. Windsor, what happened?" Jamie sensed something was amiss.
Oliver did not reply to that question and instead asked, "How's Susan doing?"
"She's still not budging, seems a bit reckless."
Oliver was not interested in Susan's current mindset. "If she remains stubborn, then we'll have to employ some unconventional methods."
They could not target the Hastings family directly for now, but Susan was in prison—a place filled with criminals that could help them achieve their goals.
"Mr. Windsor, there's one more thing. You asked me to keep an eye on Mr. Hastings. It seems like he's been reducing his work schedule lately and even booked a ticket to Forinland."
'To Forinland?'
Oliver raised his eyebrows slightly.
…
In the prison.
"Susan! Go, go fetch us some water to wash our feet!"
"Ms. Hastings, I heard your family brought you some nice things. Show me!"
"Susan, why hasn't this toilet been cleaned properly? What are you doing?"
Insults, exclusion, targeting, isolation.
For Susan, a torrent of darkness she had never experienced before engulfed her within a single day.
She had heard that prison was not a pleasant place, but as long as she could leave safely, she believed it would not cause any lasting damage.
Susan knew the Hastings family would find someone to intervene. Even if they did not, as a member of the Hastings family, the people in the prison would at least show some respect for her due to her background.
However, overnight, it seemed her cellmates had received some kind of directive and shifted all the menial tasks onto her, even having her fetch water for them to wash their feet. How degrading!
"At most, I'll be here for five years. After I get out, I'll still be a member of the Hastings family. Remember what you have done today."
Susan had endured the humiliation for two days, but she could not take it anymore.
