Chapter 647 Sleeping Together

"She’s fine; she’s asleep."

Oliver kissed her after he finished speaking. When she struggled a little, he pinned her with his feet and said playfully, “Mrs. Windsor, did you forget something?”

Natalie blinked, not daring to move any further. "But, but Tina is just over there."

"She’s asleep."

"What if she wakes up and can’t find me? Children get scared when they are in a new place."

"If she wakes up, we’ll comfort her. The door is slightly ajar. We’ll hear her.”

Natalie tried to speak again, but Oliver gently kissed her again and whispered, “I’m just an ordinary man. It’s been a long time since we were together.”

Natalie looked at him, his eyes, which reflected her, shone with affection despite his stoic expression. It was an irresistible look.

"Then, be quieter," Natalie murmured, thinking she must be crazy to agree to Oliver’s proposition.

A gleam of amusement flashed in Oliver’s eyes.

Back in his early twenties, Oliver had also craved the thrill of adrenaline, seeking extreme sports every month, even when swamped with work. It made him feel alive; without it, life seemed tasteless and joyless. This longing for excitement was inherent. It showed, no matter the time or situation. Like now.

Natalie was a nervous wreck. She realized that Oliver’s enthusiasm was particularly high. She could not help but ask, "Oliver, don’t tell me you left the door open on purpose?"

Her expression plainly read, ‘Are you a pervert?’

Oliver paused ever so slightly and asked, "Should I close it?"

Before Natalie could respond, he added, "Then if Tina wakes up, you won’t hear her."

Natalie found his logic unassailable and without room for objection, but the current scenario was undeniably thrilling—an adrenaline rush for both the heart and nerves.

"Baby, relax," Oliver said, noticing her occasional nervous glances toward the door. He patted her slender thigh, saying, "Children sleep deeply; she won’t wake up that easily."

"I don’t believe you," Natalie muttered, looking away.

Oliver chuckled softly; his voice was as deep as a cello and as rich as fine red wine. Had it been any other time, Natalie surely would not have allowed such reckless behavior, but she did feel a bit guilty toward Oliver. After all, she had left him alone for so many days to work with Flora, and he did not make a fuss. He had been so good.

With this thought, Natalie could not help but hope against hope that Tina, exhausted from her day and evening activities, had fallen into a deep sleep and would not wake up for a while.

"Baby, you look absolutely stunning tonight."

While kissing her, Oliver whispered, as if talking to himself. He knew Natalie was shy about compliments. However, the shyer she was, the more he wanted to say them.

Oliver let his gaze linger, and sure enough, he saw the flush of embarrassment on Natalie's cheeks. He chuckled softly, only to be interrupted by a voice from behind—

"Natalie? Where are you?"

The two of them froze, their bodies stiffening like statues.

The little one's voice was weak and faint, leaving them unsure if they had heard correctly.

Before they could anticipate the next sound, the bedroom door had already been pushed open.

There stood Tina, her tiny legs bare, clutching a little pillow to her chest, pushing the door open with a look of fear. Upon seeing Natalie and Oliver, her nervous and scared expression quickly melted away, replaced by confusion. "Natalie, Oliver, what are you doing?"

Natalie and Oliver were speechless.

In a swift motion, Oliver covered Natalie and himself. Sitting up with a serious expression, he looked at the small figure in the doorway.

"Are you guys fighting?" Tina asked before she said reproachfully like an adult, “It’s not nice to fight!”

"No, no, we’re not fighting," Natalie replied softly, cautious not to make any abrupt movements.

Tina said, tilting her head in contemplation, “Oh…”

Then, as if suddenly understanding, she asked, "Then, do you want to dress like me?"

Tina’s sleepover was a last-minute matter. As such, she did not have her pajamas and only wore a big t-shirt to sleep.

Natalie was mortified.

Oliver, noting Natalie's embarrassment, nodded stiffly.

"Oh," the child quickly shifted topics, saying, "Natalie, why weren’t you sleeping with me?"

Tina sounded pitiful as she continued to say, “I’m afraid of the dark.”

Under the covers, Natalie nudged Oliver with her leg, silently urging him to take the lead. After all, he was more shameless, and he was the cause of this.

"I’m afraid of the dark as well,” Oliver lied with a straight face, “That’s why I wanted Natalie to sleep with me.”

Tina accepted this explanation without objection, kindly suggesting, "Oliver, why don’t you sleep with me and Natalie? Then both of us won’t be afraid."

"Who wants to sleep with you? Natalie and I are not your parents," Oliver said, but before he could add more, an embarrassed Natalie had swiftly left the room, nodding in agreement.

Five minutes later, the three of them were lying together on the large bed in the master bedroom, despite Oliver's initial reluctance to have Tina in the bed he shared with Natalie. After all, he was even less inclined to sleep in the guest room's bed.

Tina, being small, was positioned between Natalie and Oliver to prevent her from rolling off the bed.

Oliver glanced sideways at Tina as she peered out from under the blanket, unsure of how to handle the situation.

Ironically, she was smiling sweetly and appeared to be full of energy.

"Oliver, I saw something earlier," Tina exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement as she gazed at the ceiling.

Natalie's eyelid twitched. "What did you see?"

She was so young; surely she did not see anything inappropriate, right?
