Chapter 116 Furious Anger
Jamie served as both personal driver and bodyguard to Oliver; he was a significant presence by his side.
Liam approached Jamie discreetly expression and sought his assistance. After their brief interaction, Liam returned to Oliver with news. He reported, "Young Master, the young madam has gone to All Night Manor."
Oliver's demeanor shifted abruptly, his face hardening with displeasure.
"Tell her to come home!"
After a beat, he said, "Tell her she must come back to me immediately!"
Liam found himself momentarily startled, realizing it had been a considerable time since he had witnessed such a vivid display of emotion from Oliver. He was aware that All Night Manor held the reputation of being Paykston's most renowned entertainment establishment. While he had anticipated that Oliver would not be thrilled by this development, the intensity of Oliver's reaction was unexpected.
"She’s really bold!"
"Young Master, the young madam arrived at that place ten minutes ago."
Just then, Cadence called.
Oliver did not have time to deal with her and hung up directly.
Seeing the call being ended, Cadence refused to give up and tried to call twice more until the call connected.
"You better have something important to say!"
Each word from Oliver felt like it was forced out of his teeth, chilling to the bone. Just then, Cadence called.
Cadence stood in the glimmering bar, her breath hitched in fear as she quickly reported, " I saw Natalie at the All Night Manor! Tonight is Adrian's bachelor party, and he rented the entire bar. I heard Natalie used to be Adrian's girlfriend. Has she not given up on him? Mr. Windsor, I've said this kind of fickle woman..."
"Have you said enough?" Oliver icily interrupted Cadence's prepared speech.
When Hailey saw Natalie in the bar, the only thought in her mind was that God was helping her.
Cadence had thought of many harsh words for Natalie, but what she said fell far short of her expectations. After all, the man on the phone was too intimidating.
Cadence hesitated, stammering, "Mr. Windsor, Natalie isn't right for you. I'm the one who truly loves you!"
Candace was silenced by the click of the call ending.
Oliver had no patience for Cadence's talk or anything related to Natalie and Adrian. He did not want to hear anything about Natalie liking Adrian. It made his whole body ache when he heard it. He hated hearing people say Natalie was not good enough for him. Nobody could interfere with his life!
He would not allow anyone to insult Natalie. She was his wife.
“Young Master, where are you going?!"
Oliver snatched the keys to a sports car and marched out, leaving Liam unable to stop him.
It was clear that Oliver’s emotions were in turmoil, and Liam was concerned about Oliver driving in such a state. He quickly got in touch with Charles, urging him to follow Oliver and prevent any potential accidents.
…
The sports car's engine roared, its powerful sound echoing through the late summer night.
In just twenty minutes, the Pagani arrived at the entrance of All Night Manor, and the screeching brakes startled both the doorman and Cadence.
Cadence had just left the bar when she spotted a sports car racing toward her from a distance. It was Oliver, who was unlike his usually composed self. While she was relieved that Oliver had arrived without incident, she also could not help but speculate about Natalie's fate.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed driving this fast?"
Having known Oliver for years, Cadence seldom saw him display such intense emotions. It was clear that Natalie had provoked his anger. Not only would Natalie have a terrible time tonight, but she thought that Natalie might even lose her position as Oliver’s wife.
"Where's Natalie?" Oliver asked, expression dark and grave.
Cadence said scornfully, "She's flirting with someone in there!"
Inside the bar, the party was in full swing with flashing lights and loud music. A DJ played strong bass beats.
Natalie sat at the bar, smiling mysteriously like a black rose, beautiful but dangerous. She stood out with her natural beauty, even without makeup.
Oliver clenched his fists. He had never seen Natalie smile like that, especially not at him. And there she was, smiling at Adrian.
Adrian was busy kissing a beautiful model, surrounded by friends. This scene heated up the whole place.
Natalie watched excitedly, simultaneously celebrating her separation from Adrian, a despicable man, and pondering Hailey and Adrian's future together as a married couple. Hailey was prideful and jealous, while Adrian had a wandering heart. Together, their life promised to become an intriguing and ironic drama.
Suddenly, a cry pierced the air.
Natalie felt a strong grip from behind, an unrelenting force that swiftly yanked her off her barstool.
"Who are you? Let me go!" Natalie exclaimed.
The bar was dimly illuminated by flickering lights, making it challenging for Natalie to discern the person's face clearly. However, she could distinctly sense that the hand gripping her wrist belonged to a man, a hand possessing considerable strength, as though it could easily crush her.
"Jane! Jane!" Natalie shouted.
"Natalie!"
The scene unfolded rapidly. Jane glimpsed Natalie being ushered through the throng of people by a tall figure, rushing toward the exit.
"Excuse me, please make way! Coming through!"
Jane wanted to chase after them, but the crowded bar thwarted her efforts. She found herself hemmed in by the swelling mass of people. Her view was suddenly cut off by a couple kissing. In this brief moment of distraction, Natalie's figure vanished from sight.
Jane exclaimed in frustration, "I told you to move! If you want to kiss, go get a room!"
The crew-cut guy who had been leaning in for a kiss retorted angrily, "And who do you think you are, acting all high and mighty?"
"Darling, she bullied me!" the heavily made-up woman next to him complained coyly.
"Please move; I have urgent business," Jane said as her eyes darted around the room. She rarely displayed such patience.
"Apologize to my baby, or there'll be consequences!"
The crew-cut man, a second-generation heir of a medium-sized company, had been seething with anger, but as the light illuminated Jane's face, his fury gradually faded.
"So, it's you!" he said with a smirk, lightly stroking his chin, "How about you give me a kiss, and we can forget about this little incident? I won't cause any trouble for you."
Jane, torn between anxiety and anger, suddenly smiled cunningly.
‘It seems like people think I’m easy to bully me…’
The crew-cut guy continued to harass Jane. However, his advances led to an unexpected turn of events.
Jane swiftly grabbed his arm, expertly twisting it, and smoothly brought him down to the ground before departing.
The crew-cut guy let out a shout, prompting his companions to rush over and block Jane's path.
"Jane, do you think you're still Miss Watkins from back then? Who do you think you are now? You can't just walk away after causing harm," one of them taunted.
"What do you want?" Jane asked, her gaze unwavering.
On the other side, a group of over a dozen individuals stood menacingly, clearly spoiling for trouble.
