Chapter 190 Who do you want to kill?

Natalie wore a white riding attire with matching protective gear. A majestic chestnut horse stood behind her.

Noah chuckled and openly mocked, "Natalie, you actually know how to ride? I've never seen you near a horse, and I don’t think you’ve ever taken lessons. Surely, you don’t think that riding donkeys is the same as riding horses?”

"Enough, Noah!" Adrian said reproachfully for the second time.

"Am I wrong? I doubt that Natalie, an illegitimate child, could even watch when Hailey took riding lessons. What is she doing trying to ride a horse now?” Noah scoffed.

Oliver narrowed his eyes as he tapped his wristwatch with a dark expression on his face.

The atmosphere tensed immediately, and the crowd's laughter died down. Everyone held their breath. In this place, only someone from the Harrington family would dare to openly mock Natalie.

Just as everyone anticipated Oliver's intervention, a calm, female voice cut through the silence.

"Noah, it seems like you’ve forgotten the proper way to address me,” Natalie said with an unflinching smile, “However, seeing as you’re my niece, I’ll overlook this.”

Noah seethed with anger. She thought, ‘How dare this woman use her seniority to suppress me? An illegitimate child like her doesn’t deserve to be my aunt? Disgusting!’

However, Noah restrained herself when she saw Oliver looking at her.

Without further ado, Natalie mounted her horse with a grace that belied her supposed inexperience, commanding attention with her poised figure. As she took to the makeshift obstacle course, she and her horse moved as one. Their performance was seamless and graceful, commanding respect from the onlookers.

Noah thought, ‘How does she know how to ride a horse? How could she ride so skillfully?’

After Natalie did three laps, she steered her horse toward Noah. The sound of the hooves hitting the ground rang in everyone’s ears.

“Noah, watch out!”

“Noah!”

Just when everyone thought Noah was going to meet with an accident, the horse suddenly came to a halt right in front of Noah, lifting its front legs up.

Noah was so scared that she fell to the ground, pale.

While the crowd recovered from their shock, Oliver looked at Natalie from afar and smiled.

“Noah, what do you think of my riding skills? I learned them from riding donkeys,” Natalie said. She sat on the horse, holding the reins with one hand and patting the horse’s mane with the other.

It took something for Noah to recover. When she did, she cried out, “What were you trying to do? Believe it or not, I’ll kill you!”

“Who did you say you’ll kill?” Oliver said in a deceptively light but chilling tone.

When Noah saw Oliver, she shrank back immediately like a coward. Her arrogance was mostly gone as she replied timidly, “But Natalie’s at fault!”

Oliver stood next to the horse, one hand in his pocket, as he looked down at Noah. He asked lightly, “Who’s at fault?”

Noah did not dare to speak anymore. She was truly afraid that if she said Natalie was at fault, Oliver would send her flying with a kick. She felt extremely embarrassed, and she struggled to rise to her feet, her legs suddenly gave way. She looked at Hailey, who was standing next to her. She wanted Hailey to help her stand, but to her surprise, she saw Hailey had already distanced herself from her. However, when their gazes met, Hailey quickly stepped forward again.

"Noah!" Hailey called out worriedly.

Noah momentarily set aside the unsettling feeling that her discovery brought to her and let Hailey and her brother support her.

The crowd erupted in applause.

“That was awesome!”

“Natalie, you’re amazing!”

“Your performance was truly exquisite!”

“Among the ladies here, no one can compare to your horsemanship!”

The applause and words of praise grew louder.

Hailey was in disbelief. She asked Natalie, “When did you learn horseback riding? Who taught you?”

“I didn’t take proper lessons,” Natalie replied nonchalantly, unfazed by Hailey and Noah's skepticism, "Jane taught me. You remember her, don’t you?”

Jane Watkins was famous for her horse-riding skills. She surpassed her peers and was on par with professionals. If Jane taught Natalie, it was no wonder that Natalie was skilled.

"Jane Watkins? The famous socialite? Ah, I remember now, she defeated Hailey and Noah in high school," a guest from another city asked, recalling Jane’s glory in the past.

Jane did not just defeat Hailey and Noah, she completely dominated them and made a fool out of them, all to avenge Natalie.

Noah lost her temper. “Nonsense! Jane is a nobody now! What’s the point in talking about her now? Moreover, in the past, she used underhanded methods to avenge Natalie! Both Jane and Natalie are despicable!”

Noah continued on her tirade.

“Just you wait Natalie! You and Jane are both evil! Trust me, you’re going to fall like Jane too! Enjoy your glory for now because your future will be miserable! If it weren’t for the fact that the engagement had been set, do you think Uncle Oliver would marry you? He has feelings for…”

Before Noah could finish speaking, she cried out in pain. Oliver had gripped her chin tightly, silencing her. She stared at him in shock and fear.

“Let go of my sister! Don’t think you can act wantonly here!” Adrian said forcefully.

Oliver did not even spare Adrian a glance as he continued to tighten his grip on Noah’s chin.

Upon seeing this, someone said, “Oliver, calm down. Don’t be impulsive. Let’s talk things through. There’s no need for violence, right?”

However, despite these words, the other party’s tone was very perfunctory.

Another young man hugged his girlfriend before he clicked his tongue and said, “If someone said that about my girlfriend, I would’ve kicked her to death long ago. I think Oliver is being quite kind.”

Upon hearing this, Adrian asked, “Mr. Foster, do you have any resentment with the Harrington family?”

Richard Foster smiled innocently. “Of course not. However, I don’t think I said anything wrong.”

The Foster family was a prominent family in the south. Without the Windsor family’s support, the Harrington family was nothing in front of the Foster family. Richard was well-liked and cunning, and he had a penchant for stirring up trouble.

At this time, Isaac applauded and said, “Well said!”
