Chapter 845 The Child Takes Your Surname

Natalie had a slight impression of him because Tina had once mentioned him. Initially, she thought Arthur's chances of reconciling with Flora were slim, and now they seemed even slimmer.

Meanwhile, Tina examined the items in the nursery with curiosity. "Natalie, these clothes and these shoes, they're so tiny!"

Natalie, now more than five months pregnant, found it difficult to squat down. She gently patted Tina's head instead and explained, "Babies are very small when they're born, just like you were."

Tina gasped in surprise and pondered for a few seconds before her face lit up with realization. "I know! The baby is in your belly now, and the baby is still very small! It's called a fetus!"

"You're so smart!" Natalie had heard from Flora about Tina's keen interest in medical science, but she was still amazed by Tina’s knowledge about the fetus at such a tender age.

Tina blushed shyly, then after a moment, she looked confused. "But why are there pink dresses? Mommy said dresses are for girls and boys wear pants."

She walked up to Natalie, touched her belly gently, and asked, "You're having a boy, right? Boys don't wear dresses, right?"

Natalie was momentarily speechless. Looking toward the door, she noticed Oliver looking at Tina sternly.

Meanwhile, Arthur stood nearby, smirking at the unfolding scene.

"Daddy! Kiss!"

Tina quickly spotted Oliver and Arthur at the door.

Oliver sauntered in, glanced at the pink dresses he had purchased for his future daughter, and corrected Tina, saying, "Your aunt is having a baby girl, not a baby boy."

Tina’s brows knitted together, resembling little centipedes. She insisted earnestly, "It's a baby boy!" Then, turning to Arthur, she pleaded, "Daddy, tell him it's a baby boy!"

She hoped Arthur would confirm her belief.

Oliver snapped at Arthur irritably, "Your daughter wants a little brother, why don’t you go have one yourself."

Arthur simply ignored the jibe. Could one really argue with a man consumed by the desire for a daughter? Clearly not!

"What's Tina's middle name?" Natalie asked Arthur, seeking to divert the conversation away from Oliver's desire for a daughter.

Previously, Natalie had spoken with Flora who mentioned that Arthur would choose the name.

"Allison," Arthur replied, his tone softening, "Tina’s middle name is Allison."

Natalie pondered briefly then smiled. "Tina Allison Windsor. That sounds nice."

Arthur said with a smile, "Actually, it’s not Tina Allison Windsor; it’s Tina Allison Lee."

Oliver cast a quick glance at Arthur.

Natalie paused, puzzled. "You allowed her to take Flora’s last name?"

"Tina, what’s your full name? Your uncle and aunt don’t know yet," Arthur called out to Tina, who was still engrossed in the assortment of clothes and toys intended for her little cousin.

"Tina Allison Lee!" Tina exclaimed joyfully, clearly delighted with her new name.

Unaware of the implications of taking her mother's versus her father's surname, all she knew was that she liked her name.

Natalie naturally preferred Tina taking Flora's last name. In her opinion, it was already good enough that Flora allowed Tina to call Arthur 'dad'. She asked, "Does Marjorie agree?"

"She said Tina Allison Lee sounds better than Tina Allison Windsor."

A hush fell over the group. This was typical of Marjorie's straightforward style.

Arthur, leading Flora, moved ahead, with Oliver and Natalie trailing behind them.

Oliver’s gaze occasionally drifted to Natalie’s belly, his expression contemplative.

"Do you want the child to take your surname?" he finally asked.

Natalie looked at him strangely. In fact, she did not care much if the child's surname was Windsor or Watson.

"If we have a son, he’ll take your last name," Oliver said seriously.

Natalie stared at Oliver in disbelief. Realizing he was not joking, she said angrily, "Even if it’s a son, he’s your child too. Just wait and see what happens if you dare to act dismissive!"

Since the night of the Supermodel finals, Natalie had not attended any shows due to the accident on the runway. Instead, she focused on the photoshoot for the cover of VOGUE.

Oliver, concerned about her well-being during her pregnancy, personally arranged to postpone her upcoming endorsement and another photoshoot for a month to ensure she could rest.

Rumors circulated in the fashion industry about Natalie injuring her leg during her fall, casting doubts on her return to the runway. Even her close friends, like Cocker, reached out to inquire about her condition.

Natalie responded to each message, reassuring everyone that she was recovering well.

At this time, a promotional video Natalie had shot earlier for Horizon Chronicles was released. To everyone’s surprise, it featured Joseph, a prominent and established figure in the industry, alongside Natalie. Joseph's presence in the video not only bolstered Natalie's profile but also led to an early invitation from a top luxury brand for her to become their global ambassador—a role she might not have secured on her own merits alone.

Moreover, those in the know were aware that Natalie’s relationship with the heir of the Windsor family had been rekindled. This connection made her particularly appealing to the main buyers of luxury. Insiders were also privy to the fact that Natalie was pregnant, though this detail was kept from the general public and closely guarded against leaks to the media.

When the endorsement video circulated, comments began to pour in.

[Natalie looks so beautiful!]

[Buy! They're just products from 'Horizon Chronicles', can't I afford them?]

[Are all of Natalie's fans this wealthy? Horizon Chronicles is a top luxury brand…]

[You're not her fan so you don't know that there are a lot of wealthy people among her fans.]

[I wonder what makes Natalie qualified to work with Joseph.]

Competitors of Natalie's tried to capitalize on her cooperation with Joseph to stir discontent among his fans, suggesting that Natalie was not deserving of such a prestigious pairing.
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
