Chapter 905 Onset of Illness

Susan considered Natalie her misfortune!

After taking a shower, Susan immediately dialed Lucas' phone number.

She was hung up on twice.

Susan, with great patience, persisted and dialed a third time, then a fourth, until the fifth time, the call was finally answered.

"Lucas, I need to talk to you," Susan said as soon as the call connected, afraid that the person on the other end would hang up on her again.

Lucas had no fondness for Susan at all.

To what extent was there no fondness? In a nutshell, it was the law that saved Susan's life.

Without the law, he would have killed Susan long ago.

Lucas had checked Susan out. He had a good memory and remembered her phone number after seeing it twice. So when Susan called, he hung up without hesitation.

There was no intention of communication at all.

He was afraid he couldn't help but have the urge to kill her.

But Susan said that what she had to say was related to Natalie and his identity.

Susan arranged to meet at a high-end coffee shop near Paykston University.

The coffee shop had high prices and few customers, but it was completely secure, which was why Susan chose it to allay Lucas' concerns.

"You have five minutes."

When Lucas arrived at the agreed-upon location, Susan was already there, sitting and drinking coffee.

"You should order a drink first," Susan said casually.

In such a place, customers were expected to place an order upon entering.

Lucas ordered a mocha. The waiter quickly brought it over.

"Let's get straight to the point. You disgust me," Lucas said, wearing a duckbill cap and sitting arrogantly.

Susan took a packet of powdered sugar from a small box beside her, opened it, and poured it into Lucas' mocha. "I heard from Natalie before that you like sweet treats."

Lucas did indeed have a sweet tooth.

He hadn't intended to touch the coffee, but when he heard Susan mention Natalie, he picked up the cup and took a sip.

He furrowed his brow, finding the taste not sweet at all.

The packet of powdered sugar must have been of poor quality.

"Susan, you have two minutes left," Lucas said impatiently, glancing at his wristwatch, "And don't mention my sister. You're not worthy!"

"Lucas, what if I told you that I'm actually your sister?"

"What did you say?"

It took Lucas a while to come back to his senses. For those few seconds, his mind was blank.

He was sure he had heard clearly, but he couldn't believe it.

Susan chuckled mysteriously, looking calmly at Lucas, " I'm actually your biological sister. There's no kinship between Natalie and you."

Faced with Lucas' skeptical and resistant expression, Susan continued, "There's something you may not know. The bone marrow that matches you has already been found."

Susan lightly pointed to herself. "Me."

Lucas was struck dumb, frozen in place, almost out of breath.

"Lucas, my bone marrow matches yours. Natalie and Oliver have known this for a while but haven't told you."

"I don't believe it."

Susan had anticipated that empty words indeed lacked credibility.

She produced two papers she had found at the Hastings family's mansion from Samuel, which was the paternity test between her and Lucas.

The truth was plain to see.

"Lucas, I got this from Samuel. If you still don't believe it, you can do a paternity test yourself." Susan plucked a hair from her head and handed it to Lucas.

She taunted, "See, in their eyes, your life is still less important than our grievances. I would be willing to donate my bone marrow to you. After all, you're my brother. But they want to send me to prison, destroying me. Lucas, look, that's the good sister you're defending."

Lucas' face turned extremely stern as he glared at Susan.

Susan, gradually came back to her senses from the thrill of toying with Lucas. The look in Lucas' eyes seemed to want to devour her entirely.

A chill ran down Susan's spine. She even wondered if Lucas was now thinking about how to quietly kill her.

"Does my sister know about this?" Lucas asked.

"What?"

"The fact that you and I are blood relatives. Does Natalia know?"

When Lucas mentioned that they were blood relatives, Susan felt a sense of shame and disgust from him.

Who was he to look down on her like that!

"How would I know if she knows or not." Susan's face turned cold. "Lucas, get it straight. I'm your sister, I'm your only family in this world, not Natalie!"

"You're nothing!" Lucas stood up, his, gaze gloomy. "Susan, sharing some of the same blood as you now makes me feel unforgivable."

Susan's face was more contorted than ever before. She felt insulted.

Lucas finally picked up the hair. "Susan, even if we are blood relatives, I only have one sister, and that's Natalie!"

Susan didn't try to make him acknowledge her as his sister.

She watched calmly as Lucas left, recalling Randy's words.

"If you want him to fall ill, it's not enough to have the medicine. You need a stimulus, a great stimulus that he can't resist."

As Lucas left the coffee shop, he immediately called the organization and arranged for someone to collect Susan's hair for DNA testing.

He was starting to believe Susan's words a bit. If she was lying, she wouldn't have been so confident in giving him her hair. But he had to see the results personally before completely believing after the person he trusted the most handled things.

Lucas had no intention of attending class anymore. He took sick leave from the university and returned to his dormitory, lying on his bed.

His mind was filled with what Susan had just said.

Her words and confident demeanor tormented his nerves.

Lucas didn't care about Susan's deliberate emphasis on the fact that Natalie and Oliver had found a bone marrow match but weren't making concessions for him.

Now that he knew Susan was his bone marrow donor. He didn't want Natalie to forgive Susan for his sake.

A woman like Susan deserved to die!

But he might actually be Susan's brother.

He might be the brother of the Susan who was so malicious to the core, who repeatedly harmed Natalie.

Lucas' thoughts gradually descended into a corner of madness.

He thought, 'Does Natalie know about this?

'If she does, she might not acknowledge me.

'She might think of Susan's disgusting face when she sees me.

'I probably can't appear in front of Natalie anymore, can't call her sister and can't act cute with her.'

Lucas had never hated and disgusted himself as much as he did now!

His brain couldn't bear the torment, starting to throb.

His heart rate increased, his breathing became uncontrollable, and the air seemed to grow thinner.

After an unknown amount of time, Lucas felt frightened, feeling warm liquid flowing out of his ears.
