Chapter 794 The Speaker is Already Dead
Natali remained silent.
He really was the butler.
"He looks like Liam," Natalie whispered to Oliver.
"He's actually Liam's mentor."
"Mrs. Windsor, hello, lovely to meet you! You're beautiful and look great with Mr. Windsor," Sean said in a gentlemanly and enthusiastic manner.
"Thank you!"
After exchanging greetings, Sean led Oliver inside.
"This butler here reminds me of Liam," Oliver remarked, "Liam was brought here by his grandmother to learn from Sean when he was young."
"No wonder they have similar manners, even down to their walking posture."
Their way of walking exuded an air of stability and modesty while still being noticeable. This was the perfect demeanor for a butler.
Natalie had indeed heard of schools and organizations that specifically trained people to become butlers. The capabilities of a qualified butler were comparable to those of company executives. However, she had never encountered such a school before. Moreover, domestically, there were not many professional butlers employed.
The banquet hall resembled a castle hall from a fairy tale movie.
The interior design maintained the vintage European castle style from the previous century. The guests had arrived in significant numbers, totaling around forty to fifty people. Each of them was dressed magnificently.
A few noble ladies had gathered together, chatting. They wore high-end dresses in vibrant red and purple, adorned with gemstones and diamonds.
Natalie also observed her peers and the well-dressed gentlemen, noticing that everyone was busy comparing and socializing.
Their attire was impeccable.
Less than a minute after entering, Natalie already understood what Oliver had mentioned. The Norton family was filled with hidden agendas and secrets among its members.
While Natalie quickly scanned the room, others were also sizing up Natalie and Oliver.
The appearance of unfamiliar faces at a Norton family gathering was rare, and these two newcomers stood out with their exceptional looks.
The two individuals who entered were outstanding, both in appearance and temperament; indeed, they were top-notch.
The woman exuded a sophisticated and dignified aura, while the man radiated an air of nobility and dominance.
For a brief moment, many people were left stunned, staring for several seconds.
Upon closer inspection of their attire, although they seemed low-key, it became apparent that their clothes were either high-end custom-made or limited edition, more expensive than those worn by many others present.
Who were they?
How could these two individuals casually stroll into the Norton family's banquet like this?
"Natalie!"
Before everyone could react, an excited shout echoed through the hall.
Once the crowd saw a lemon-yellow figure rushing down from the second floor, they realized who it was.
The other party glided down the staircase and headed straight for the woman with exceptional looks and temperament.
"Who's Lilian calling out to?" a guest asked in confusion.
Natalie saw Lilian's radiant smile and opened her arms to receive Lilian, fearing that Lilian might fall.
Lilian was ecstatic.
Just as Natalie opened her arms, Oliver, expressionless, sheltered Natalie in his embrace and dodged to the side. Then, he looked at Lilian with disdain and a hint of warning in his eyes.
"Oliver, why are you like this?" Lilian exclaimed, unhappy that she did not get to hug Natalie.
"She's my wife. If you want to hug someone, hug your husband," Oliver declared possessively, making no distinctions between genders.
Lilian rolled her eyes discreetly and whispered, "Lucas didn't come, and my boyfriend isn't the same as my idol."
"What are you mumbling about?" Oliver asked, "Did you tell Isaiah and Maddison about your dating life?"
"No! I wasn't mumbling! I just meant that I shouldn't have tried to hug Natalie!" Lilian said, feeling threatened.
She had not figured out how to tell her parents that she had slept with Lucas, which led to Lucas becoming her boyfriend. The crucial point was that her engagement had not been officially dissolved. Her actions seemed somewhat irresponsible, especially toward Lucas.
"Lilian, aren't you afraid of falling while running with such a long dress?" Natalie could not help but gently Lilian her. Only then did she remember that this castle belonged to the Norton family, Lilian's family. Her current identity did not seem appropriate for educating Lilian.
Lilian did not mind at all, saying, "I'm not scared! I just wanted to give you a big hug, but I didn't get to!"
"Lilian, who are these two?" a guest asked Lilian.
"This is my cousin, and this is my cousin's wife," Lilian replied with a smile, without providing further details, "Oliver, my dad is waiting for you. Come with me!"
Natalie voluntarily let go of Oliver's hand and said, "I'll wait for you outside."
"Why don't you come with us?" Lilian asked, taken aback.
"Your parents didn't invite me to come along," Natalie said as she handed over the elegantly wrapped bag to Oliver, "Please give this gift to your parents."
Lilian tried to persuade Natalie to come along, but she did not succeed.
Oliver knew Natalie was a person who valued etiquette, especially since this was their first meeting. He thought there was no danger here and decided to go upstairs with Lilian to find the Norton couple.
The three of them spoke in English, which others could not understand. They only saw the man who had just entered the door go upstairs with Lilian while the woman accompanying them found a corner to sit in.
The departure of Lilian and Oliver caught everyone's attention.
Even the Norton family rarely saw Oliver at such large family banquets.
As soon as Lilian and Oliver left, discussions began among the guests.
"Cousin? Which cousin was she talking about?"
"The eldest son of Isaiah's late sister. Don't underestimate him, that guy is impressive!"
"The woman earlier… Isn't she Natalie, the model? She was translating for Mr. Smith yesterday."
"It really seems to be her!"
"Oliver married a model? Have Oliver's standards really fallen so low? Has the Windsor Group declined?"
"Declined? I heard that the RisingKing Group is his!"
"Oh my goodness! He's Oliver? Then this woman must be just a fling for him."
"Yeah, look, she's here by herself. I could easily find several women like her."
"Are you sure? Didn't Lilian introduce her as his wife?"
"His wife? Who knows if that's true? Are they even legally married? Even if they are, they could be divorced next month."
"Didn't Nola also participate in that model competition? I think Nola is more suitable for Oliver than that woman."
"Oh, Nola? She's not bad."
