Chapter 812 Natalie, Listen to Me

Isaiah made an expression at Wisdom Jade while on the phone. He had anticipated this outcome.

"Isaiah, I'm going to deal with someone," Oliver said, informing Isaiah in advance.

"Who?"

"Nora."

Isaiah had some knowledge of Nora, the niece of one of John's mistresses. She seemed to have a good reputation and had attended the Norton family dinner before, though Isaiah was unsure who had invited her.

"Alright, it's up to you."

Isaiah was indifferent about someone like Nora, especially since she was aligned with John. Oliver and John were not on good terms. Moreover, how could Nora compare to his own nephew? He knew Oliver rarely paid attention to what others did, but when he took action, most of the time, the other party deserved it.

After the call, Oliver instructed the head chef to prepare breakfast for Natalie.

"Sir, did you come back alone?"

The bodyguard noticed Oliver approaching alone and looked behind him but did not see Natalie.

Oliver's expression darkened, and he quickly pushed open the door to the hospital room.

The bed was empty.

"Where is she?" Oliver's voice trembled with barely contained fury.

The sudden tension from Oliver intimidated the bodyguards, who feared for their safety.

"S-she said that she wanted to see you, so we let her leave."

Jamie was attending to business matters, and a few temporary bodyguards were stationed at the door. When Natalie expressed her desire to leave, they did not dare to stop her.

"Idiots!" Oliver exclaimed angrily, "Why are all of you just standing here? Check the surveillance! Find her!"

"Yes, we'll get to it immediately!"

The commotion alarmed the doctors and nurses on the floor, who joined in the search for Natalie. It did not take long for them to realize that the couple held significant status and power.

At this time…

A bodyguard hurried over, panting as he said, "Sir, we found her! She's in… in…" A bodyguard hurried over, out of breath.

"Speak!"

"In the operating room. The obstetrics and gynecology operating room."

Before the bodyguard could finish, Oliver already sprinted away.

'She's in the obstetrics and gynecology department? Is she preparing for an abortion?'

Oliver rushed there, drawing many curious looks.

Yuuisian faces were already uncommon here, and his frantic run through the hospital was a spectacle. If not for his obvious anxiety, bystanders might have thought security would soon detain him.

"It's rare to see a Yuuisian woman come for an abortion. She's quite pretty."

"She's also pitiful, coming alone and having to leave the operating room alone later."

Oliver's gaze drifted out of focus as he overheard the conversation near the operating room.

At this time, the red light above the operating room door switched off, and the door swung open.

A woman with black hair, appearing weak and hunched over, leaned against the wall as she slowly walked out.

Oliver felt as if his heart was being squeezed tightly, causing him pain and making it difficult to breathe. He closed the distance in just a few strides.

"Natalie!"

The woman looked up, revealing a face that Oliver was unfamiliar with.

Oliver stood still, unsure whether he felt cold or warm.

The woman who emerged from the operating room looked at Oliver with confusion.

Oliver turned to continue his search, but he paused, rooted to the spot.

Natalie stood a few meters away from him, observing him with a cold gaze.

Without hesitation, Oliver rushed to her and wrapped his arms tightly around her, burying his face in her neck. He breathed heavily, like a drowning man clinging to a lifeline.

"Natalie. Natalie," Oliver murmured softly, his voice tinged with a trace of madness, "Baby, you scared me!"

Onlookers looked at them strangely. Their public display of affection seemed out of place in a hospital, especially since Natalie was dressed in a patient’s gown but did not appear gravely ill.

Natalie gently patted his shoulder. "We're blocking the way."

As she spoke, she suddenly felt lighter. Startled, she exclaimed as Oliver lifted her into his arms.

Oliver bowed his head to check on her condition. Other than a lack of appetite and some weakness, she seemed well, certainly not like someone who had just undergone an abortion.

"The baby is still here," Natalie said, noticing his concern, "I just wanted to look around."

Oliver carried her back toward the ward, navigating through corridors and up a staircase to another floor. He moved steadily, not even pausing for breath.

"Madam, you're back!" Jamie nearly burst into tears when he saw Natalie. He had only been away for an hour. How could she have disappeared in that short time? The situation had been terrifying!

"Where's Lilian?" Natalie looked around, not seeing Lilian anywhere.

"Miss Norton is still sleeping. She hasn't woken up yet," Jamie informed her.

Natalie breathed a sigh of relief; she had been worried about scaring Lilian.

After her questions were answered, Oliver carried Natalie back to the room and gently placed her on the bed. He was silent for a moment before asking, "What were you looking at?"

"Your reaction."

Natalie tilted her head. Her words suggested that the chaotic scene this morning, which caused everyone to panic, was merely a prank.

Oliver wasn't angry; he patiently asked, "Are you satisfied with my reaction?"

'Satisfied?'

She was not even sure what kind of reaction she had hoped to see from Oliver.

"Oliver, during all these days when you kept it a secret from me, did you ever think I might consider getting an abortion?" Natalie hugged her knees while sitting on the bed.

'Abortion?' Oliver scoffed inwardly, 'As if anyone would dare to go through with that surgery!'

This morning's incident was an accident, but Oliver was determined to prevent any possibility of it happening again.

"Casey woke up. Do you want to go see her?" Oliver changed the subject.

"Of course!" Natalie instantly perked up.

Oliver added, "If you finish breakfast, I'll take you."

Natalie frowned. "I can go by myself."

She did not want to wait even a moment longer.

"There's no room for discussion, Natalie."

"Oliver, you're forcing me again!" Natalie stared at him intently. For a moment, she really wanted to tell him to leave. But she knew well that telling him to leave a hundred times would have no effect.

"Natalie, listen to me. Don’t joke about your own health," he said.

Oliver leaned in to kiss Natalie, but she pushed him away.

The words 'Don't kiss me' were clearly written on Natalie’s face.

Oliver chuckled and held the back of Natalie's head, forcefully and dominantly kissing her.

"Natalie, you can throw a tantrum, but you can't distance yourself from me," Oliver stated, "You know I'm possessive and domineering."

This time, breakfast was delivered by the head chef.

Objectively speaking, it catered more to her taste than the food prepared by Samuel.
